Star Wars: In The Pits OOC

By Richardbuxton, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

No vigilance, from up there you get a better view of most of the arena. Your fairly certain you can see more beasts in three different areas. Mostly it's shadows moving or quick lines of sight, perhaps enough to get a shot although it will be tricky.

They are roughly near their own entrance, except one group who looks close to the other controls

I hope both @Arctanaar and @Revanchist take their turns soon.

Was somewhat busy for the last few days. Will make a post in a few hours.

I am going to move toward the button and press it. What difficulty Vigilance would I need to see if I detect anything monster-y along my way?

Guys?

Sorry I typed a response, got busy, then never hit post!

Average difficulty, 2 setback for the noisy crowd.

Vigilance : 3eA+2eD+2eS 3 successes, 1 threat

Over the cheering of the crowd you can hear definite animalistic noises from somewhere nearby.

Hope that Revanchist posts soon.

Hey @Richardbuxton it's a player turn next right since @Revanchist posted?

Yep

So who wants to go, and should you tell us what happens when we push random buttons in arenas?

If someone wants to push a button then by all means... be my guest!

I think Revanchist did, have you read his post?

I really need to scale back the notifications I get from here, I missed that he had posted. I'll get a response up in the next hour or so.

I have been busy since I last posted. Will be pressing some buttons soon.

Could I get some help regarding the details of what the mechanism looks like?

I apologise for the delay.

Assuming that climbing a wall did not net me any progress in moving towards the mechanism, I choose to spend my manoeuvre and action on moving towards the button. Assuming I don't need to spend any manoeuvres on scaling down the wall, I should either be engaged with the button, or be in short range of it.

You will be engaged. I finally got my response up to Sevrath and @Revanchist pushing the lever. The other lever probably does something else.

Can everyone please make a Coordination roll, Easy Difficulty with a single Upgrade... don't fail with a Despair ?

Coordination : 2eA+1eC 1 success

Bull succeeded. What happens?

: 2eA+1eC 0 successes

I failed

Coordination : 4eA+1eC 1 success, 3 advantage

Ok @Matt Skywalker Michael suffers a wound and strain, ignoring Soak. As the initial sequence catches him off guard an one of the walls clips you. You other two are quick enough to keep clear. We will see what @Revanchist has happen when he gets a chance.

So the new dynamic arena offers a much more dangerous environment. Rolling 3 Threat or a Despair on any check can be used to cause a critical injury as a wall whacks you.

For movement your still able to go slowly as if the walls where staying up for no penalty. But if you want to skip over walls when they retract into the floor then you can move an extra manoeuvre in the round with your action to a maximum of 3, but you must make a Hard Coordination check, upgraded twice (DCC) to do so.

Well I guess Bull won't be going around any walls, he's not that agile.

If you can justify another skill I'll allow it.
