Would love to know more about the Han/Luke build. I'm currently flying that, hoping to get enough games in to take it to my S.C.

Brobots just can't keep up nowadays.

Why do you say that?

without knowing the basis for this observation, i've been wary of running brobots because of: 1) high damage spikes; 2) high ps; 3) bombs; 4) re-emergence of stress.

That is incredibly similar to a list I totally crashed and burned with about 2 years ago, except I had Engine Upgrade on Luke and... I'm not sure what on Han. I lost all my matches and came dead last. It's a fun, fluffy list, though, with all the OT crew (if you count the wookiee art on Gunner as Chewie).

Expertise and Vectored Thrusters have definitely made a difference. It's nowhere near Tier 1, but it can still definitely win games, and is really simple to fly.

If Han can boost out of arc, do it. If not, evade. And Luke uses VT to arc dodge/control range.

The one game I lost it took my opponent 30+ minutes to finally kill Luke because I kept barrel rolling from range 1/2 to range 2/3. Combine that with Lone Wolf, Luke's ability and R2-D2 and unless you can do a lot of damage in one big spike, you have a very hard to kill ship.

Hux, huh? That makes a lot of sense. Give those little TAPs some punch after their payload is gone. And DUH, he gives everyone a focus . . . so they all get focus, target lock, evade. And five dice.

Oh, and Systems Officer is pretty cool too. Free target lock + evade, and then that guy focuses and gets a fully modified procket shot. Nifty.

It's gross how much damage it can dish out. I played against it when he was testing it out and it just erases ships.

Just giving this a bump up from page 7.

There was a very small store championship in Idaho this past weekend. No cut even, but Guri + Dengar won it. Pretty cool considering the news we get today, heh.

Anyone else got some store champ data? Love seeing what has won.

Edited by Kdubb

There was a store champ in Bakersfield, won by OGP + Adv Sensors + Hux + Systems Officer and 3 Strikers, 2nd place was RAC/Ryad. Will look for details in the morning and update this post.

Holy cow, this store champ was nothing but Jumpmasters. I would hate to be in that meta.

Well, There was one Ghost+Biggs in the Top 8!... So apparently, that stops it being nothing but :D

At least there were 4 different archetypes with those jumpmasters :P

Tyler Texas is doing our store championship at Ground Zero comics this weekend (June 3rd)
I think it starts at 1pm but don't take my word for it!

According to their facebook event post, yes it starts at 1pm.

The Game Cafe store championship (31 players) in Independence, MO was won by Aaron Steede flying:

It beat me pretty badly. He was undefeated the whole way through.

Out of curiosity, did he run into few PS 9+ ships (e.g., Fenn), or did he just manage to somehow fly around them?

I love Echo, but I swear I can't even remember the last time I ran Echo in a tournament without hitting PS 9+ the entire way through. Don't get me wrong, I've beaten higher PS with Echo -- beat RAC/Whisper with Kenkirk/Echo back in 'Nam -- but it's just so much more difficult. I would kill for some match-up luck.
