I seperate Wedge from the bomber and stress bot. With the current meta most people really dislike the bomber or stress so ignore wedge who is then left to kill things. Because wedge is free to sit behind the enemy he can usually stay there as the opponent is stressed/ioned and wedge has bb8 to adjust speed.

If the opponent goes for wedge first the stressbot and bomber get to attack from the side. So the stress bot gets multiple rounds of shooting and the bomber gets to turn in front of the enemy (blocking/bombing multiple rounds)

The initiative bid was often usefull.

Doesn't always work to plan though.

What upgrades? I've had some fun flying those same 4

R4-D6 (of course), any 2-point droid (though there are two he works really well with), R7, and any 1-point droid. Integrated Astromech on all of them.
