My wife's character's voorpak! She made it herself.
Character Artwork Thread
It has been a while since I shared my progress on learning how to do digital drawings so I thought I'd throw these up. Most of them are still works in progress and there are another four however they are still in very early stages. Also the backdrop used is not mine I just googled it so credit goes to the original artist.
Edit: apparently I am going to have to do this in multiple posts and very compressed versions due to the new restrictions around file size, any advice on how to get around this would be helpful
Firstly; my character Tura (Nautolan)
then Ada (Twi'Lek)
and Carrus (Corellian Human):

Next is Kanu (Selonian) captain of our crew:
Then Lelila (Dathomirian)
Trevine (Human) the rebel pilot/mechanic
And finally one you have already seen; Thurora the rebel pilot
Nice work, the expressions on the Dathomirian and the human really convey a bit of personality without being overdone.
I haven` t done Star Wars characters in a while, but I have lot`s of other rpg related character drawings...
Just recently I did this Jungle Fighter of Catachan(WH40k)... At least it` s Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Space Opera too
Here's Trok, the gruff, wisecracking Dug Driver NPC for the PbP My Kind of Scum.
Alright, another image from my friend Pete.
This character is called Elsana Veer. She is a Zabrak bodyguard for this crime boss. Crime boss she ends up leaving after teaming up with my character character Conrad Reed. They end up working together... quite well.
She is a very skillful combatant and also very guarded and calm. I had to butcher the quality of the picture in order to get this here.
Edited by SuperArppisFurther adventures in Photoshop (well, GIMP) have been interesting, and I have two pictures to share. One barely counts as "art" that I can take credit for - I did a very small amount of shading and drew on some tattoos - but the other involved a lot of work, including a decent amount of painting and some composition that I think is original.
Rosena Mortimer, formerly Riyo Senada, is my character in an upcoming EotE game on RPG.net. She's a Pantoran Smuggler Charmer who will go on to be a Gunslinger. She's based losely/moderately on Dolores from the show Westworld, hence my shameless recolor of said character. She should be interesting; she's been thrust out into the galaxy with literally no one to turn to (except, perhaps, her brand new bounty hunting crew) and forced to let go of everything she's known. Could be neat. Like I said, I only really did significant work with the tattoos (which are a bit extra on purpose) and lightening her eyes. There's some face shading, but mostly it's just a basic recolor.
And, finally, Splice. Credit to @Kymrel for the character; he's an NPC droid tied to Kyrmel's BH Gadgeteer in the same game Rosena is in. When I heard there was going to be some horrible amalgamation of an astromech and a medical droid wandering about (apparently, Travis found two mostly broken droids and stuck the not-so-broken bits together to get a pretty skilled and entirely crazy new droid), I just had to try my hand at giving the character life. I've changed or added a significant amount to this picture, so I'd like to call it perhaps my first, maybe second real entry to this thread. You can see my attempts to actually paint stuff all over this droid.
Hope you enjoyed, and, as always, I look forward to seeing more art.
I love Splice so much. Rosena is awesome, but Splice is so much cooler than I imagined him
Here is my Zeltron Bounty Hunter Assassin (and yes I painted it myself)

Another set of Will Nunes commissions, guy does amazing work. Got him to draw the party I GM for, really pleased with the result.
They're a bit of a miserable looking bunch, but it's fairly appropriate. From left to right we've got Aerold Reist (Human Seeker), Jessica Kensington (Human Smuggler) and Bira'iofa'ayzist "Ava" (Chiss Colonist). They're currently starting up a budding criminal organisation from a cantina they've acquired in Nar Shaddaa.

Edited by Tom CruiseGot a commission done of my main character from a FaD/EotE game I'll be in.
Done by this artist, he was great to work with http://s2ka.deviantart.com/
I'm thinking about commissioning some character art for my Bothan swoop racer, Tresk, now that I have some monies. It's my first time doing this sort of thing, so I thought I'd ask for some recommendations, both in terms of artists as well as how to make it easier on them with sufficient detail when I write a description and/or make a bad sketch to get the image in my head across.

I had a great time working with Jennifer Lange, who I found via DeviantArt. I provided reference on the basics of what the characters look like; if a character's player had a particular clothing style or signature color scheme, I provided that. If the player "cast" an actor as the character, I provided a pic of the actor's look that the player had in mind. For the purpose I had in mind (surprise Christmas gift for the group in a couple of different formats), I just got the characters from her on a transparent background, so I could insert them into multiple projects.
I'm very pleased with the outcome. Here's the group shot I assembled from the individual characters:

Those are phenomenal. This Will Nunes guy is amazing. Do you mind if I ask how much he charges for commissions such as this?
He quoted me 30-50 USD per character as his typical asking price for commissions like this. Final price for all three ended up being 140 USD.

Here are two more NPCs from the same game that I've posted about before (and both from the beginner game adventure, Escape from Mos Shuuta):
41-Vex
And Trex, the Trandoshan bounty hunter:
