So I'm not fully up to speed on the EU (Legacy), but didn't Mara Jade have a z-95? She's already in game as a crew now, so it stands to reason we'll have her as a pilot eventually yes? Could the Z-95 be the first ship to appear in 3 factions?
Imperial Z-95
When she had a Z-95 she was working for Karrde I believe, or at the least not Imperial faction. This said the Z-95 I suspect would have been used by the very early empire as the Republic transitioned from Z's and Y's to TIEs.
Sure but I'm sure they have a few around, especially if Mara Jade liked the ship. She can have whatever she wants I'd bet.

Both sides had access to limited numbers of each other's ships, though. There was a comic series that featured captured TIEs being flown by a rebel squadron, for example. Also, the X-Wing was actually designed for use by the empire, but the engineers defected and took the plans to the rebels.
MJ's Z-95 would more accurately fall under the 'Scum' faction.

Anakin Skywalker flew a Y-wing... Han flew a Lambda...
I dunno dude, would rather not see cross pollination unless the militaries themselves used the ships - think about the generics.

Yeah she didn't fly it because she loved the ship or something. She flew it because she was working for a band of pirates and that's what they had for her.
Not likely. She mainly flew the Z-95 when she wasn't part of the Empire any more.
So then if Mara Jade ends up existing for both teh Scum Faction and the Empire, could there be a future version of her for Rebels? Perhaps a Mara Skywalker piloting an X-Wing or something?
The Rebels are not getting the Lambda, the Empire are not getting the Z-95 or X-wing and I severely doubt Scum will get a Mara Jade Z-95.
After the Most Wanted pack, never say never on a Rebel Lambda.

The rebels have the shuttle Tyderium in ROTJ, which is a Lambda, so it is INCREDIBLY likely that we'll see an option for that in the future. It won't require a full blown re-release of the lambda, it coudl be an extra card in another pack for example, just like the SLave-1 and HWK cards/dials in the Most Wanted pack. Nobody said anything about the Empire getting an X-Wing.
never say never on a Rebel Lambda.
Yeah FFG has broken the seal as it were. There's cross faction ships now and there could be more. Of all of them, a Rebel Lambda is not really all that far fetched. That and a S&V YT-1300 perhaps a 2400 as well.
Broken the seal? Most Wanted was a necessity to get Scum up to speed (prior to Scum's announcement the main argument against a third faction is that they'd be too far behind), that doesn't mean FFG's going to start flooding the game with new factions and "cross-pollinating" every ship they can find. Every ship ported to Scum has a full identity distinct from the original in Scum and acts as a Scum ship, none are just ramming another faction's pilot in the ship because of some one-off occurence where they flew that ship.
After the Most Wanted pack, never say never on a Rebel Lambda.
I am saying Never and I contest that Most Wanted is the curveball you're painting it as. The Y-wing is long established as a common fighter that pirates have, the Z-95 and HWK are just as Scum as they are Rebel and the Firespray would never have been Imperial if Scum had existed.
The Lambda was stolen once, it would have one rebel pilot and no generics, and if FFG want a rebel shuttle the EU has a plethora of new sculpts for them to use.

Along with the Rebel TIE fighter?

And what reason would FFG ever have to do that? And where would they put it? Every ship in the game is a full ship, not one cross faction card. They're not going to make new dials to crossfaction a single pilot.
Please people, think things through fully before saying "oh the rebels stole a lambda in the films we'll get a tyderium card". Think about how and why FFG would release such a thing, why they'd take that option over other release options, the effect on the metagame of crosspollinating a ship, think of faction identity and think of how it would combo and the thematic effect of the Rebel side of the map filling up with spacecows or the Imperial side with Z-95s.
Edited by TIE PilotYet, the Tyderium is the most iconic showing of the shuttle, whereas I don't buy that the Y-wing is readily associated with pirates et all. The Z-95 yes, but the Y-wing is iconically Rebel.
I don't think Most Wanted is a curveball. I expect to see a Rebel and Imperial version. Not necessarily to bring new ships into the faction, though possible with the Tyderium, but as the best way to improve older ships.
I doubt we'll see a S&V YT anytime soon. Not that wouldn't work, but for balance issues. YT's are crazy strong and if they make new ones, they may end up making new upgrades for a YT, maybe a new title, or other upgrades that target it.

If there was a rebel TIE fighter in the films then I'd say yes, however there wasn't so I'll say No. I've no idea why you even suggest that. Strange.
TIE fighters get stolen in that new TV series of Disney's. Rebel TIE release, no?
If a ship gets transitioned, a whole ship gets transitioned. We're talking a Lambda with red starbirds painted on the upper wing here.
You will never see a rebel lambda. I guarantee it.

I stake my reputation on the fact that we will. Maybe not a new miniature, but we'll see a chewie pilot, a "fly Casual" card, probably a whole mission related to it.

Yes a TIE was stolen in Rebels. However, Rebels isn't the original trilogy. The TIE Advanced is also a curvy cute my-little-pony looking ship in rebels as well, yet that isn't how it looks in the films and in our game.
And The Tyderium didn't have any red starships painted on the upper wing. The Tyderium was indistinguishable from the typical imperial shuttle, so there is no need for them to re-package a miniature.

Not the same TIE advanced, as 15 seconds on Wookieepedia will tell you.

It's canon. Remember you're "staking your reputation" on FFG making a Rebel Lambda, and FFG are hardly OT purists.

The Starbird is the Rebel Alliance symbol.

Yes, because in the film, Tyderium is stolen from the Empire and used to sneak past the Imperial fleet because it's an Imperial ship and thus the Empire don't expect it. A brigade of Rebel spacecows don't take part in the Battle of Endor. I can see Tyderium happening as a title. For the Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle.
Let's try this another way. Describe to me how FFG will release this Rebel Tyderium.

Yes. Please.
I was actually surprised Mara wasn't a Scum Z-95 pilot. She flew a modified Z in the Thrawn Trilogy as part of Talon's smuggling syndicate. No reason she couldn't be an Imperial crew and a Scum pilot. There is already precedent for characters showing up in two different factions.
I suspect if they do release a Scum huge ship, it will be the Action IV Transport with a Z-95 model with Mara as one of the pilots.

Maybe as part of a Huge Ship, it could be an add-on card/dial . Maybe in a new type of Aces pack as a bonus.
Or better yet, it could be a part of a "Crossovers" pack.
The Crossovers pack included the Black Z-95 Headhunter with the Pilot "Mara Jade" for the Imperials.
The Black Z-95 comes with a Scum version and an Imperial Version. And a Title that can be used for either.
Crossover pack also features the Rogue Shadow, the first ship that has version for both Rebel and Imperial.
The pilots Juno Eclipse and Starkiller both have Rebel and Imperial versions.
Included with this pack is a variant for the Lambda shuttle with Chewbacca pilotting.
Also comes with the title "Tyderium", which once per game can remove target locks from your ship
Also comes with the "Keep your distance" and "Fly Casual" EPT cards.
I could see a bifactional release of a ship but a full on random unique pilots crossover pack? Really?
I was actually surprised Mara wasn't a Scum Z-95 pilot.
It's because, E-wing nonwithstanding, this is meant to be BBE, hence Mara being the Emperor's Hand at this time.
Edited by TIE PilotYou will never see a rebel lambda. I guarantee it.
And what evidence do you have to back that up? I mean if you're going to make guarantees you must have something to back it up with...
I could quite easily see them release a pack that has Rebel cards for the Lambada along the same line as the HWK and Firespray in the Most Wanted pack. I'm not sure that they will, but I don't see anything stopping them from doing so.
