Devastating the surface of mandalore, that will show them … ;-)

How are they going to liberate Mandalore and Lothal from the Empire without the Empire just coming in and slagging the surface clean? The Rebel fleet can't hold territory because its already been confirmed that Scarif is the Rebellion's first victory.
i don't think that 'liberation' in this sense has to mean they kick the empire out. remember that Sabine's father is in prison on mandalore. odds are good that the Empire has members of every clan held there, hostages against a mandalorian uprising. the 'liberation' could just be as simple as finding Bo-Katan (the previous legitimate ruler's sister), and then freeing the imprisoned clan members, allowing the mandalorians to act against the Empire more freely, and unifying the clans.. effectively creating a "government in exile" for Mandalore.
since Mandalore can refer to more than just the planet (they also use it to refer to the many colonies, and other worlds mandalore controlled) the Empire could hold the one world, but lose control of the greater "Mandalore"

Essentially all two parters so I wonder if the schedule change to showing back to back new episodes is related.
“Flight of the Defender”
Ezra and Sabine steal an Imperial prototype TIE fighter but must rely on some unexpected help to escape from Thrawn.
They better not make Sabine’s defender for this game. I might walk away for that.

Taking for granted the illicit slot, I bet this time she'll manage to fit two crew slots or even a team slot on it.

A defender that can boost or barrel roll before it moves and has a fancy paint job? Yes please!
I don’t think I’ll ever get my head around the viceral reaction people seem to have against Rebels (or scum come to that) in stolen Imperial ships. For me it’s entirely thematic given the amount of time my RPG characters have spent stealing Imperial tech and using it against them.

But they aren’t putting the right pilots on the stolen stuff. Wedge, Hobbie and Biggs need to be on that psychedelic TIE. Also Shuttle Tyderium with Han, Chewie, Luke and CAPTAIN REX. Make it happen FFG!

Yeah. It’s pretty weird that people who play one faction in a competitive three faction game would get upset that their iconic units (which they’ve spent money on), are increasingly marginalized and sidelined... and then given to a faction awash in dominant mechanics and units.
Luckily they can enjoy the comforting salve that while dozens of their ships can’t compete, and plot armored Mary Sues from other factions get to fly far superior iterations of them, that it at least is consistent with your RPG experience.

Then RP yourself some special scenarios in X-Wing where you fly Imperial ships and leave that **** out of the official releases.
Leaving aside the Role Playing thing, why shouldn’t X-Wing reflect the Star Wars canon? It’s not like it’s rare for Rebels to steal and use Imperial ships in the movies and other material. In the old EU the practice was just as prevelent.

There's just no reason for it. There are still enough Rebel ships from various EU sources that aren't in the game yet that there's simply no reason to be wasting releases on repaints of other faction's ships.
That said, I wouldn't be as pissed about it if the Rebel version wasn't absolutely a better version of the ship than the Imperial version.

Good guy Privilege. IMP SJWs need to take back the night. Or steal some ARC-170s, T-65s, Y-Wings and such. They all started as Imperial after all.

This is exactly how I feel about it. If we got Sabine's Tie and it was a cheap but utterly worse version of the Imperial version, I'm fine with that. But it's not. It can take crew. It can not be shot at until it shoots. It has Pilots with great abilities. Etc, Etc, Etc. Give us a Imperial Xwing that somehow fixes all the Rebel Xwing's shortcomings and has great Pilot abilities and then see how the Rebel players feel.

Why would you if you already didn't for the stupid rainbow TIE?

Anomaly vs trend? Mistake vs Choice? Twice as much of a bad thing is too much.... pick any
My issue with it is simple.
Less and less, Imperials have things that are
theirs.
Frankly, it's not fair. They already don't have a unique slot that nobody else has- so handing out their ships isn't cool.
Look at the bright side - when the Empire will be out of the game for good you will still be able to (competitively!) play your favourite ships.
Oh freaking my... what if Sabine steals an Assault gunboat?!
Really hoping that somehow this is just the Incom X-Wing swipe.
It’d be cool if they set it up as Incom and Cygnus both vying for the “hyperspace capable rapid response strike craft” contract... and then Incom decides to defect

This would be the best possible scenario, but I am pretty sure they will steal a Tie Defender.

I'm actually okay with the Captured TIE card(in fact, I think it shouldn't be unique and there should have been at least one generic pilot in the pack).
It's the Sabine's Masterpiece that's bull****. All she did was paint the stupid thing. That shouldn't give it two additional upgrade slots.

I totally agree about Sabine's Masterpiece. No reason a paint job makes a ship so much better. As far as Captured Tie goes, I don't like it because A) it is only a trick one faction (Rebels) can do and they all should be able to "steal a ship and blend in with the enemy" especially Scum, and B) it only really hurts low PS generics that already struggle more than other ships.
