STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

The Sith inquisitors should actually be dark Jedi, Sith was a race it's not a title that applies to all dark side users.

I still hate the art style.

And I don't like the crew.

So, Jango Boba, Sabine, and other famous Mandalorians, shouldn't be called Mandalorians..?

Your talking about culture I'm talking genetics, any force user can become a dark Jedi but to be a true Sith you should be able to trace your family line back to the Sith race.

Pardon me, but Mandalorians were a race. I'm not talking Culture.

See. A long time ago, there were Mandalorians and they conquered like, everything. So their culture got spread pretty far out. They also all got killed. But their culture stuck around.

Quite literally the exact same thing happened to The Sith.

See my point here? You don't have to be True-Sith to be Sith. Palpatine sure as hell isn't and damned if Vader is but they're quintessential Sith.

The Sith inquisitors should actually be dark Jedi, Sith was a race it's not a title that applies to all dark side users.

And yet for almost forty years, Darth Vader has been called the Dark Lord of the Sith.

I think their are some legitimate criticisms why some people might not like Star Wars Rebels. Many of them stemming from the fact that it is a kids show. But I can't think of any of those criticisms that couldn't apply to the Original Trilogy except for the fact that it is a stylized cartoon and the original trilogy was not.

I have to say that I love the show. And it feels more Star Wars-y than anything I can think of other than the original trilogy.

I agree, it feels more like ANH than anything I've seen in some time. Which I'm sure was the feel they were going for.

I think it however "LOOKS" like Aladdin in space!!!

I think the rule of 2 is was misconstrued by many. Yoda never said "ONLY two there are...". He said Always. IE they come in pairs. Unlike the Jedi which have training academies, the SIth work in groups of two. You never see any Sith training two apprentices at the same time.

I think it however "LOOKS" like Aladdin in space!!!

Well it is a cartoon. Would you prefer it to look like Droids?

How has this much virtual ink not mentioned the Darth Bane books? Barring EU flush swirl, Sith was a race and a culture. The race is extinct, fought the Jedi too much. The culture is nearly so. Prior to bane's ascent ion all Sith had been gathered into an empire by a Sith with really potent mind powers. Bane tricked them into mass suicide. So only he was left, then he took an apprentice.

So they had 2. The question is, did anyone find enough Sith artifacts to become ditch w/o one of Bane's legacy or did any of the legacy cheat once Bane was good and dead?

One Middle-Easterner like character who was an orphaned street rat in the first episode and that's it. There is no genie. There is no flying carpet. There is no talking parrot. There is no desert. It's not Aladdin in space.

True, but the full quote is, " Always two there are, no more, no less . A master and an apprentice."

However, it also ends with, " A master and an apprentice." I imagine if he meant only ever two Sith existed in the galaxy at the same time, he would have said, " The master and the apprentice."

tl;dr - I agree with your point. They'll come at you in pairs.

Two by two, hands of blue. They'll come at you sideways.

Ahem, pardon, but the Mandalorians were NOT a race. Yes there was a race which established their code and their lifestyle (which its name escapes me), but they specifically were inclusive to ALL races. Mandalorians are a way of life, not a race.

EDIT: It was the Taung species that founded the philosophy*

*as it was the True-Sith that founded the Sith philosophy. Sith aren't just dark jedi, they follow a way of life. Palpatine and Vader are sith, but the Inquisitor is a dark jedi.

That finale though am I right??

Don't forget a nod to Dark Forces II, where that old Data Disk of Ezra's is the spitting image of Kyle's..!

I want a bigger nod, like seeing Kyle as a Stormie and defecting to the rebels

I hope we get more space battles. I love the show when they are in space dog-fighting.

Wait a tick - the Sith way is a philosophy just as much as a Jedi so the term dark jedi is a non-sequitur imo - unless the person in question was a jedi who then turned to the dark side. But even then, they've abandoned the Jedi way. The terms are mutually exclusive

The Inquisitor is just a force adept who is evil. He doesn't follow any Jedi ways.

that is what a Dark Jedi is, someone who uses the force for dark or corrupt purposes. Dark Jedi don't follow a philosophy.

Bugh, different name, same thing Taung/Mando. I know my mandalorian culture/basis pretty well, but the names get sketchy.

No they are humans that's their race, their culture is mandalorian.

Sith were a race that got taken over by dark Jedi, they then interbred with those humans and became the Sith empire that caused so much trouble, then they got wiped out so their culture died out along with their race.

Sith is more of an honorary title by the time you get to episode four, there's no genetic links and they were never exposed to Sith culture because it's been dead four thousands of years, what they got taught was teachings and tradition which is not the same thing.

It's like people who call themselves druids, they can call themselves that but they Arnt because the Romans wiped out druidic culture when they invaded and left no trace of their teachings, calling yourself something does not make you that thing.
