That was a sticking point for me. A Noghri, by all accounts, would have been able to kick both Sabine and Zeb's behinds, even without the gimmicky personal cloaking device. I was so excited when they introduced him, but they've really just wasted his character and concept.

Why did Thrawn leave Hera's kalikori behind in the citadel, when he had explicitly stated that he valued it very much and intended to add it to his collection?

You would think he would take it with him to his collection on the Chimera, instead of leaving it to gather dust on a grey office in the citadel...

For me is when he was doing the ritualized hair cutting, almost Samurai like. I knew he didn't have much longer in these series. I enjoyed the episode, but I really wish they didn't treat Death Troopers like your common Stormtrooper fodder. 3 were easily defeated by high Hera and a blind Jedi.

At the end of the day, this does remain a kids show. So if I let my imagination go a step further than what was shown on screen, I saw:

- A main character die in a typical Jedi-like fashion

- Sabine being very angry and setting a trap to kill stormtroopers

- Zeb being close to beating an opponent to death with his bare hands

- Hera emotionally crushed and Chopper in a support role

Now while I would have liked them to take it a step further, I am reminded again that this is a kids show and that they went pretty far considering that premise. So, I'm happy with it

You guys think that Long varient of the Tie Defender will end up in X-Wing? The TIE on Thrawns hologram definately looked longer and I think someone mentioned that.

Wonder what they do to Sabine and Ezra. They are fascinating characters. Hate for either to die off but not many other options. Would have liked Kana to hang on longer.

Sabine and Zeb can pretty easily 'go back to their people' - both have work to do, there, just hanging on with the Rebellion at the moment as this group needs them more, right now.

Ezra remains the same problem Kanan always did - it weakens the dialog in ESB and RotJ between Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Luke. (I mean, not like Yoda or Obi-Wan were ever completely truthful and honest at the best of times, but still...) So...something still needs to happen, there. Will be curious to see where they go with it.

You couldn't write another entire season that redeems the last two episodes in my eyes. But I'm cool. I got, like I said, three and a half seasons of great, awesome, fun. I'm not gonna be there for the ending where Filoni shoots up a bunch of drugs and goes balls trippin' first on a homicidal rampage through the sand box all the way down to the end like he did in Clone Wars. I'm not about that fam. If y'all want your nihilistic fantasies fulfilled, where heaven forbid you can't come up with heroes who actually survive and find a happy place in A GALAXY SIZED SETTING... Y'all have a good time. You go enjoy yourselves. Just don't come at me like you have the high ground when I want to take a turn sticking my head in the sand a la oppa-ostriche style when we start talking about the events of the end of Rebels. There's a ton of fans out there going full on beast-mode ANAKIN used HEAD-BUTT against SAND, ANAKIN hates SAND! HEAD-BUTT was SUPER EFFECTIVE! For the same reason they did a three move duel for Maul and Kenobi's final confrontation. They like references.

As for why the character did it, maybe he suspected he was going to die. Force users are often slightly precognitive after all.

I just don't get how are the last two episodes derpy writing but the rest gets a free pass. In my personal derpiness ranking episode 11 barely makes the cut to the top 5...

I'm not big on the talking dogs. Knightfall was really, really good. Dume seemed like it took way too long to get to a point. Especially airing right after Knightfall, the 2nd episode seems like a slow boat to nowhere.

Yeah the second episode just was odd. If you only have 4 episodes left don't waste one

Sort of hoping that Filoni has his fix of wolves in Star Wars with this and doesn't need to add more to anything else down the line. In other news it looks like LFL trademarked Star Wars The Resistance. Maybe it is something, maybe it is nothing. If it something, are people pulling for it being set between 8 and 9 (provided they even provide a time skip there) or from Bloodlines up to TFA?

Banking on bloodlines to TFA, would love from between TLJ and 9 because it forces them to do a time skip, and it provides an almost immediate connection with the new movie (Like agents of shield, eh, sort of).

Knowing Filoni, with wolf pack Battalion in the clone wars and now loth-wolves, there will be a wolf of some kind in this new story, but I doubt it will be as heavy handed as it has been in rebels.

Also could we just give Filoni his own movie series.? I mean if he can make people feel so much emotion within 20 minutes, imagine what he could do with 2 1/2- 3 hours...

Yes and no. I'm good with the prime of the series that I enjoyed. I'm not okay with the d#$n stupid way they are rushing out with the end of the series when they were off to such a great run.

Well, they did it. It was certainly better than a lightsaber through the stomach or a fall into superheated plasma. We finally see the characters respond to REAL loss and I have to wonder if their near invincibility will now be the source of a major falling out with the group? You have to think. Other Rebel cells probably have to deal with the loss of close comrades all the time. Those faceless A-Wing pilots likely ate, slept, and trained next to a number of folks that had to grieve for their absence and have the sense of unease about getting close to their replacements. The Rebels crew has always pulled through. No challenge or enemy was ever too strong to keep any member of the team from coming home at the end of the day; not the Grand Inquisitor, not Tarkin, not even Vader.

And now a couple of blasts from an AT-AT, a vehicle that they've taken down so many times, has taken the soul of their team. What will hit the team more? The loss of their teammate or the realization that, all this time, the same thing could have happened to them at any moment? I get the feeling that nobody is going to be wagging their fingers at stormtroopers shooting at them anymore.

That being said, I'm pretty sure we're not going to see the end of Ezra during this series. Disney isn't going to kill a kid on a kid's show and it would cheapen both deaths to put them so close together. At this point, Ezra is either going to have to disappear off the grid or be put into an instance where his death is heavily assumed by others in order for Tarkin's words to still ring true. Like it or not, the Empire still considers him a Jedi and the guy following the progress in that AO has said that all the Jedi are at least gone if not dead.
