For me personally the show is complete trash, along the lines of the new Clone Wars.

this is a good time to go to the original post of this ginormous thread:
If you are here to complain about the show and the contents therein with little basis in actual criticism, please turn around and do not come back.

S
ince the few threads that were up to discuss Rebels have been knocked out of the front or even third page(s), I'm taking charge of the topic by having a thread that is readily accessible at all times. It'll be linked in my signature, and I'll do what I can to keep it up. Since Rebels is our current newest media in Star Wars, it is an important topic to discuss, especially since it may indeed pertain to XWMG in several ways.
If you have not watched the most recent Episode of
STAR WARS: REBELS
then is is heavily discouraged that you read through this thread, as
*SPOLIERS*
are present in it.
REBELS RECON
discussion is
also
encouraged, as it gives us a behind the scenes look at
STAR WARS: REBELS
, one we could definitely use.

I must say that I'm really enjoying this series. It really shows that the guys in charge definitely want to get back to the roots of Star Wars, the stuff that makes it important. It pays respect to what The Force is, shows that The Rebellion has not officially started, and really shows just how strong a grip The Empire has on The Galaxy at large. If there were ever any doubt that The Empire are indeed the bad guys, this show definitely punts that question away.
Well, alrighty then. Most recent episode is Episode 8: Empire Day in which we learn a fair amount about the Imperial annual festival that commemorates the beginning of The Galactic Empire 15 years earlier. In this episode we also learn more about Ezra, a contact he has, and the action gets thicker. It's a solid episode. Alongside Empire Day , Breaking Ranks has to alsoo be a contender for my favorite episode. I like that this one is a two-parter. That's a first for this series, really gets across that this plot is important.
Whoops.

How’s this? Star Wars has a huge adult following, yet they target this series to children 10 and under? I don’t like it. They could have made it a little more adult like they did with the first clone wars.

Better! But we've covered this several times already. How dark can you get, how many people can you kill and still attract a younger audience. How dark can Ezra get, etc... But still you have a very good point and this show isn't for everyone, very similar to the prequels in that regard.

I made it 3 episodes and had to bail. Gag reflex was too strong, sadly.

Now you're just trolling even after reading the first post.
No offense but we both know it's true.

Its also got a huge child following! I don't think anyone should mind if you dislike it, but the opposite is true as well! If you like nothing about a show, you probably shoudln't even join discussions about it just to bash it, its kind of rude to the people that do like it. If you like some parts, but have specific criticisms of others, then that's meaningful discussion!
Not everything has to be meaningful in discussions, but it should probably at least avoid being rude, I think!

It’s not trolling if it’s true. Although I did employ some hyperbole from dramatic effect. It’s just really bad in my view. Too goofy.

Is it rude to disagree?

On that we disagree.

I don’t like comic relief in any Star Wars.

My last post on this discussion.
Yet there was comic relief in every movie, so why come here to complain about that?

I would say bash and disagree are different.

Someone get that walking carpet out of my way? All of the prequels? Half of Episode 6? "I've got a bad feeling about this?" Seems like you chose the wrong franchise if you are looking for grim.

For me, a lot depends on the tone of the movie. For instance, I enjoy snarky humor in an actiony film (such as Han's quipping), and I felt that the slapstick antics of the battle droids worked in the Clone Wars cartoons. However, the comedy in the prequels just didn't really mesh with the overall tone of the movies, and thus seemed jarring and out-of-place.

No-one, huh? You're about two seasons late with that one buddy.

How old are you? 22?
I hardly ever complain about this show. I do enjoy it as a Star Wars fan, but as a standalone TV show, it's kind of weak.
