I presumed that was the Empire as a whole, not Thrawn specifically.

The Rebels Season 4 trailer got more squeee from me than the Ep VIII trailer.

In ROTJ there is a bearded trooper. The EU gave him a name - Nik Sant - Santa Claus reference. He looks a bit like Rex.

And in an interview around the time of the Season 2 finale, Filoni said he thinks that that guy is Rex:

The one thing that I have toyed with and we’ll see how I feel about this, this is probably a spoiler, Carrie Beck, but I gotta give them something. I’ve said absolutely nothing today. And my wife’s like yeah, it’s just like being home. But I think the one thing I have really thought about is I really do think that Rex is that guy on Endor. I really do. Why else is there a bearded old guy on Endor, Tano? Why? It makes no sense. If you don’t want that to happen, do you know what that means? I’m gonna make that happen. I’m getting like Palpatine, I’m getting power crazy.

I'm happy they suggested there will be better development for Zeb. "Not just muscle." It's three seasons overdue.

The preview is solid. If they follow the trend they're on, season 4 will set the bar for all future Star Wars animation.

Also glad Dave Filoni admits they won't try to make the series longer than it needs to be.

Two things I noticed in particular... 1: The Red Stripes on the TIE in the background, 2:(Edit: Some reason I am not allowed to upload a second photo... but the ship which hyperspaces through that station, leaving a wake of destruction, at first I thought was a U-Wing but looking again, only 2 engines, and looks a bit different.)

And during the Rebels Panel today at SW Celebration Filony and Hidalgo confirmed this (I didn't watch it, because I don't like watching multiple hour streams), so I don't know for sure.

I'm pretty convinced that it's a matter of perspective. From the Rebel's point of view he IS the big bad, but in the new Thrawn novel he is alot more nuanced character. I'd even go so far as to say that he is more of a protagonist than an antagonist.

Also, remember who they just added. And what his role eventually ended up being.

If they do a Rebels A-Wing without Wedge as a pilot I will be sorely disappointed.

Dave Filoni finally got his characters riding a giant wolf. He mentioned simething like it in the Ahsoka panel last year.

Kallus is a Captain. (Two green dots like Cassian Andor)

Zeb in a weird helmet

Thrawn shooting at a Defender.

Sabine and Bo Katan fighting.

Another Mandolorian with the Dark Saber (Bo Katan?)

I want to talk about all this and more, but the thread would be too long.
