Edited by eMeMSo Sabine just became Mandalore, kinda, or at least head of clan Visla, right? Doesn't Pre Visla more or less say whoever weilds this sword is the rightful leader in TCW..something along those lines.
Maul will die by Ezra's hand after Maul kills Kanan in an attempt to bring Ezra full to the DS, he won't even reach Kenobi, Ezra will be the one to tell him in person, Ezra will find out who Luke is and go into self exile after failing Kanan and not being able to defeat the Sith....and that's my theory this week, I'm sure I'll have another one soon.
Yeah, it wasn't the Darksaber that gave Pre Vizsla the Mandalorian throne. The Death Watch were the only Mandalorians loyal to Vizsla before he took over and they weren't a significant force, considering they couldn't overthrow a pacifist government without the help of Maul and the Shadow Collective. So Sabine just became Mandalore, kinda, or at least head of clan Visla, right? Eh, that's overstating things. Pre Vizla was prepared to stage a coup much earlier, and would have succeeded, but Dooku pointed out that Vizla's Death Watch could never hold Mandalore against the inevitable Republic invasion.
Still, even the Death Watch wasn't entirely loyal to the Darksaber and they've split after Maul killed Vizsla.
I'm not sure whether this has been covered in the last few pages, but there is one tiny thing that bugged me about the last episode: the rocket launcher seemed to have seriously damage the AT-AT's leg?
It did (looks like it mangled the leg joint), but the episode somewhat justified it by all the sabotage that had been going on in the factory (Ezra even lampshaded it by saying he hoped their AT-DP walker was one of the "good" ones). Given bikes were rigged to overheat and explode and one of the AT-DP units could barely take two steps before tumbling over, a bit of sabotage to the armor or structural integrity of leg joints to make them more vulnerable to projectile weaponry isn't too large a stretch.
Or the Rogue One CGI crew is just not paying attention, or caring about such details. That can't be the same ship.

Dude. That's how rebel ships work. Classifications and system lines are for the Empire: upgrades, modifications, and one-off-wonders are for the Rebels.
You've seen the rebel fleet before right? Hundred and twenty different ship designs that don't necessarily go together and are refitted with cannibalized parts from other ships: that's the Rebels.
And about the wings.....

Calling it: Ezras vision is the reason why Leia seeks out Obi-Wan.
Now about the Rebels episode.
*ahem*
SPOILERS TAG YA' GITS.
Now....
Is that a Maul? No is that a Maul!? He's getting closer! Where is he? He looked like he wa-OH GAWD HE'S RIGHT BEHIND ME!!
Don't drink blue milk before a mission... It gives you visions.
One of your Jedi just tried to kill a mechanic; send him on a mission? Oh no, no; let me just take one of my other Jedi and wait... nope... yeah, we just have the two. They come in pairs.
Hera, using excellent animated body language again. Me, trying to think of a suitable award for the animator and storyboard artist. Holding shoulders, alone on the ramp; worry incarnate.
You had a plan? Yep.... Tracking device and see where they go? Tracking device and see where they go.
I am THE BENDU. Master of deadpan. I will tell you that "already have you what you seek" and then all 40 tons of me will disappear when you're not looking. "Blue milk" they'll say.
Hey, did you see Maul? I could have sworn he was RIGHT BEHIND ME AGAIN GAWSH-DANNGIT!@#$!
Dathomir was green in the EU. Now it's all pink and dead. They say it was caused by.... Girls.
Hey, look: lore. Isn't that a painting of Obi-Wan's sweetheart? Sorry, Picassalorian art still takes some getting used to; I remember when it was all angles like evil Frank Lloyd Wright, now they eyes aren't in the right place and it still throws me. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, cave living.
I can clearly not choose the cup in front of you; BUT, since you must have learned as well in your travels that the Force denotes a certain poison resistance you might have put the cup with the poison in front of you counting on the Force to save you so I can clearly not choose the cup..... or..... hmmmm......
Your tracking device works across the galaxy; I can't even get Netflix in a heavy snow.
Tatooine. You know there are billions of binary star systems right?
AHA! The poison was in the altar the whole time!! And what poison was it? Poison Girls. GHOSTY POISON GIRLS.
Possession fight? With people I actually like!? Rebels; doing successfully in a kids series what horror movies have been trying to do since 1675: getting us to care about the fights.
Sabine might actually die here, or be mind-wiped or something. Darius approves. =P
Maul is gone, and we all took a moment to act surprised. Obi-Wan you say?
Sabine spiderwalk needs to be a gif. Jump stab straight from Avatar also needs one.
And we save the master, and we kill the altar. Could have called it, but I was having fun so I didn't. =)
"Yeah, a planet with two suns. That really narrows it down." You might be the exposition wagon Sabine, but sometimes you just get it . Galaxy. Billions of stars. Far far away. She gets it.
"Hey, guys." "Ummm, well. Everyone else had a lightsaber and y'all weren't using this anymore so...." Everyone has lightsabers now.

Also, the 'hammerhead' transports in 'Rebels' were very specifically just supply transports.
It would make sense that any that remain in service in the Rebel fleet 2 years later - not to mention participate in an assault on a secret weapon research facility - would have some kind of modifications to improve their combat effectiveness.
IMHO, it's the same ships as in 'Rebels' - just with more engines and weapons added.

So was the GR-75, butnfor some reason they jumped with the fleet to Endor. At least the Hammerheads are armed.
GR-75s make quality fighter control and ECM/ECCM platforms. Taking them along to a fleet engagement is by no means foolish.

If you've only got the power output for shields and either your C&C and ECM/ECCM suit or some basic weapons and those weapons would be less effective than the enhanced output of the fighters you are controlling and the interference you are throwing out then you'd be very foolish to go with the weapons.

I just hope we get a slightly better look at them at some point during the lead-up or battle...would really like to try and come up with a model of the mod that can be fitted onto / removed from my 'standard' ship (which has now finished printing and assembly - just needs a bit of filling and priming to spot any dodgy areas
)

I hope Ezra does not get that close to Leia. Her cameo episode was enough. Don't forget Leia was on Bail Organa's errand to fetch Obiwan. "General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in Clone Wars. Now he beggs you to join his fight against the Empire."

None of that precludes Ezra and Kanan being the reason they know that Obi-Wan is alive and on Tatooine.
Bail knows Obi-Wan is on Tatooine since RotS. He most likely doesn't know for sure if he's alive, but there aren't many things that can kill a Jedi master.

Huh, I forgot about that. Maybe they tell him about the vision and then he sends Leia without giving up Obi-Wans location to the other rebels, thereby preventing a pre-ANH meeting. If rebels continues until after ANH I really wonder how they will tackle Luke. Having them meet feels wrong, but as things shape up the crew might still be active at that point.
The Ashoka novel also emphasizes Bail knows exactly where Obiwan is, and would only engage Obiwan as a last resort.

The real struggle I think they show would be to have the Empire actually come off as a viable threat, but other than that I think it would be kind of cool to see the OT from the view of other characters, even better if they only minimally interact with the OT cast. Thought I think the show will end up ending before ANH or Rogue One. I imagine that if the Sequel Trilogy cotinues to do well execs will want to push that timeline instead, be it leading up the events of those films, or taking place along side them.
While I watched this, I really wanted to see Kanen die at this moment. Not just because I want to see a main character die but, this was a chance for him to 'die' without being struck down and we could have gotten the nightsisters back. Plus we would have had an Ezra who was angry but would never join Maul because of what he had done to Kanen. I still enjoyed the episode, and am excited to see where they go. I just feel like it was a missed opportunity.
If Kanan dies, it will be meaningful; dueling Maul, saving the crew from Thrawn, etc. The Nightsisters were always interesting, but never vital to the big picture. Killing a character like Kanan with a sideshow circus act is bad form, no matter who the target audience is.
Creators couldn't properly finish Ashoka because of audience. Behind the scenes, we know Dave Filoni wanted Vader to impale Ashoka and make her death up close and personal to her former master. Again: audience. Kanan's final fate (if he is permitted to have one) will be similarly limited by audience.
Kanan is the cowboy Jedi. If we lose him, it will be a "rides off into the sunset" kind of closure.

Yeah, let's sacrifice a main character to "bring back" characters that we only found out were gone this episode.
The Nightsisters were still around at the end of Clone Wars. If the Rebels writers wanted them to be around, then they could have just not written them out of the show in this episode in the first place.
Edited by DarthEnderXI thought Grievous wiped the Night Sisters other than Ventris out in the Clone Wars series.
