Considering the image of Satine I think it is safe to say we will be seeing maul looking for Obi-wan. I guess Obi-wan will show up in the later half of the season, maybe with a final battle between the two where Maul finally falls to Obi-wan.
I don't see why, considering it makes sense for him to have some collected some stuff from his time on Mandalore. Especially a reminder of one his victories over Obi-wan.
I hope we won't see how Rebels got the X-wings in this show, even if we see X-wings, Rebel Alliance is supposed to be bigger than the Ghost and Sato's little fleet.
...We're definitely gonna see how X-Wings were procured.
But uh, you know that they've said multiple times there are more cells, right?
They can tell whatever they want, but they don't show anything.
Where are the other cells?
Phoenix Group covers the region of Lothal, Mandalore and Ryloh. Draw a traingle on the map, this is like half the Galaxy.
Obviously it was them who brought the B-wings to the rebel arsenal, in addition to their A-wings, they also supplied Yavin cell with Gold Squadron Y-wings and Red Squadron pilots, while Dodonna was busy playing Sabacc with Dreis. They also met every important person in the Galaxy except for Luke, Obi-wan and Sidious, and it was them who uncovered what happened at Geonosis [two episodes after the mid-season break], which is again - on the opposite side of the Galaxy.
Obviously it was them who stole X-wings and designed U-wings, why not? And Calamarian ships as well, plus we still don't know the nu-canon origins of the Nebulon-B, wouldn't it be cool if it was the Ghost crew who accquired those ships? And snowspeeders! E-wings!

It's all Outer Rim though.
So is Yavin and Dantooine. I'd expect that the Outer Rim to be the region most saturated with Rebel cells.
I think Sabine's going to defeat Maul, an act of incredible significance to the Mandalorians given his history with her homeworld.

Isn't that exactly how it is? Phoenix Group and the Ryloth Cell start out as separate organisations, and Hera and Cham end up bringing the two cells into alignment with one another?
If one cell on Lothal and one cell on Ryloh (on the other side of the Galaxy) makes Outer Rim "saturated", then yes.
My point is that the Ghost crew is already in way to many "origin stories", we don't need Ghost recruiting every significant person and delivering every ship to the cause.
I get why Filoni wants to show all those important moments and people, but he chose a wrong format to do so. It would have worked in The Clone Wars, but RPG adventures of a single gaming group and a canon kaleidoscope of all the important events in the galactic history don't mix well IMO.
Dodonna's cell exists too.
Dodonna's cell exists too.
Yes, and the Ghost feeds it pilots and ships.
Let them at least get the X-wings by themselves.

Well the Rebels have to have their equivalents of Ciena Ree and friends.

That's how terrorist cells work.

You say it like there's only one ship that does this kinda work.
You think these other Rebels are just sitting there with their blasters in their samoflange? They're definitely busy. We're gonna see the Rebels of Lothal get the X-Wings, it's just sodding common sense at this point.

Rebels and Rogue One are the only views we are getting of the Rebellion pre-ANH (unless Disney commissions more nucannon for this period in the future). They want to paint as complete a picture as possible of the run up to ANH so I think it is inevitable that this will happen. The X-wings are iconic ships so I think the Ghost crew being involved in their theft/defection is inevitable.
I agree that something more like the Clone Wars would have been a better canvass for telling such stories but Rebels is what we have got and so that is where the stories will be told. At least the theft of the DS plans will be covered by someone else.
As far as alternate pilots in new ships go, remember this:
Wedge Antilles piloted a TIE Defender.
Let that sink in for a moment. Imagine an x7, PS9 Defender with Wedge's ability. Good gods, it'd be WORTH 40 points!
I'm probably late to the party but I'm excited that the Defender is canonized. Yipee!!! Now if the Imperial Raider could make an appearance in an episode that would really make my day.
What do you mean? The Ghost crew got the Y-wings, Hobbie and Wedge, now you want them to get the X-wings too, so that most of what we see in ANH could be traced back to Ghost. We only need Chopper to advise Dodonna to set up the base on Yavin after they leave Dantooine.

Oh I didn't say I wanted it to happen.
I just said that it will.
There is a thought about the Tie Defender and timing. It's quite possible that Phoenix Squadron manages to destroy the factory and set back production for a while. It's a thought and possible, but we will have to wait and see.
Personally, I'm fine with the Legends stuff being overwritten about the timing of the ships and when they come out. I think it kind of works that the A-wing is an older ship and doesn't have the firepower of the X-wing. I like how they are scrambling for ships and using old or weak stuff. It means when the X-wing comes into play that it will kick butt, which I like a lot. The Tie Defender? We shall see. It's quite possible that it's just so expensive that they can't build many of them.

I don't think the Inquisitors were taken out that easily. For one, they hunt Jedi and use the resources of the Imperium to do it. They use normal troopers to shut off escape routes and harry the Jedi until they are exhausted and caught off guard. When the Inquisitors fight the Jedi, they are all alone. Everyone is pretty desperate on that planet. There are a lot of tough fights. Also, Ezra is starting to use the Dark Side, so maybe he's stronger than expected. I saw the fight at the end where the Inquisitors defeated as a really brutal and desperate battle where the good guys didn't just auto win. Inquisitors dead, Kanan blinded, Darth Maul gets away, Ashoka runs off, and Vader wounded.

As someone else mentioned, I think there have been times when the ISD's were effective. It just wasn't vs. the Phantom. Maybe they had Sensor Jammers on and rolled really bad?
===
Oh, and about Thrawn. He is an admiral who is best used in capital ship campaigns. When he faces the Jedi in the books, he's fighting a military campaign. In the tv show, he's fighting an insurgency. Those are pretty hard to fight against effectively. I do feel like he is slowly closing the noose on the Rebels, though. He's reacting to their actions, but he's also studying them and figuring out how they work on the whole. Thrawn is finding their weak points and will surely do nasty things by season finale. Thrawn is taking smart actions at the moment, but the Rebels are defeating him because they are heroes and that good. Thrawn will close in on them in the end, though. I think the only way someone can defeat the Rebels in the factory with inside help is someone like Vader to personally be there to kick in some heads.

Also, I really am enjoying this show! It's fun. My son, as well.

Why the hell does Ezra want to hang out with Maul again -.- I hope he really falls on his face this time, he deserves it!
I am also excited to see Maul again, the stuff they set up for him looks very promising!
I'm not sure whether this has been covered in the last few pages, but there is one tiny thing that bugged me about the last episode: the rocket launcher seemed to have seriously damage the AT-AT's leg? The scariest thing about the battle of Hoth was how those things did not even slow down, no matter what the Rebels threw at them (aside from the cable that is). Or was that an earlier version of the AT-AT?

It is. The AT-ATs in Rebels are a larger early model. Structural integrity might very well be the reason why ESB AT-ATs are smaller.

The AT-ATs shown in Rogue One appear to be a different design. Perhaps intended to represent an intermediate model between Rebels and ESB. Then again, most armies have hardware of varying ages in service and the start of Rebels to ESB spans ~8 years.
Most likely explanation is that Vader has the latest and best equipment with him when he assaults Hoth. The AT-ATs in Rebels and Rogue One probably represent earlier versions of the same basic vehicle.
