Where the Hutts and Beatles revolutionized their fields, the Monkees and Mandalorians perfected their trades and were therefore better yet less respected due to the "Simpsons did it effect" and their jealous predecessors claiming it was their tools, not their talent in exploiting those tools that lead to their success.

The Hutt Cartel compared to Mandalorians reflects the Beatles vs Monkees debate. Like the Beatles, the Hutt Cartel was first on the scene forging new works never before seen. They were good at what they did, but they were crude and they had as many failures as they did successes. On the other hand, the Mandalorians like the Monkees had seen the working template, assembled the best tools for their respective jobs, and experienced unfettered success with the best music/bounty hunting of their times.

I have no words...that was beautiful.

Darksaber coming back tomorrow night!!!!!

Sabine gonna drop the W in her name and confirm that she's the inspiration for the Knights of Ren....

Ezra gonna turn to the dark when she dies...

And the X-Wing ground game is coming!

And Thrawn gonna bring some new ships soon! We still gotta see that Outrider!, err, I mean YT-2400

Just nerds trying to make a small universe even smaller.

Well the Darksaber was in the season 3 trailer so It's almost certainly going to be in the next episode.

As for the other stuff, it's my theorycraft. Her name is Wren for a reason.

Maybe the Knights of Ren were originally a group of Mandalorians led by Sabine. After her death, they basically become a mercenary group and work for the First Order. Gradually they are integrated into the First Order, natural etymology of removing unspoken makes the "w" drop from the name, Kylo becomes the head of the group, and it's basically a First Order commando squad.

Ezra Bridger is Snoke confirmed!

Ezra Bridger is Snoke confirmed!

A this point if it ensure his story ends badly then I'm A okay with this. But links or it never happened mate

Knights of Wren is kind of the worst theory.

I should probably have quoted the post above mine.

Meant it as part of the Knights of (w)Ren conspiracy.

Another episode that feels like a setup for something bigger down the line but in itself is very mediocre, but that's maybe because most of the action was already shown on Celebration and in the prewievs.

Ah, and the Phantom II is armed just like the old one, 2 front cannons and a turret, although the turret placememnt is much less optimal.

I'm not sure if I 100% agree with this; however, I do love interesting, concise, eloquent posts sooo...... *like* ^_^

Mandolorians are also culturally different than the Hutts, which is reflected in their methods and areas of success.

The Hutts are mostly criminals, but with an economic focus; they like money and decadence more than personal combat. Since money is their power, the people the Hutts hire tend to work solely for money, thus they may pull out of a difficult mission if it is too risky. (Can't spend your credits when you're dead.)

Mandolorians have a culture that glorifies warriors, great deeds, and the like. Mandolorian fight to the death for incentives like honor, glory, and face, before money even enters the equation. The fact that bounty hunting allows them to indulge in their cultural pastimes and get paid for them is happy coincidence.

So, I would posit that the reason Mandolorians tend to be more effective bounty hunters on average than regular mercs or Cartel thugs is because they are willing to go further and to greater lengths than money alone can motivate. If you look at the really successful bounty hunters of Star Wars, most of them also seem to fight for ideals and motivations beyond simple credits; the Hutts on the other hand only fight for credits and only when blackmail, extortion, and bribery fail to work.

I believe you just reinforced my point

Money ~ The Beatles

The best things in life are free

But you can keep 'em for the birds and bees

Now give me money (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want) yeah

That's what I want

Your loving give me a thrill,

But your loving don't pay my bills

Now give me money (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want) yeah

That's what I want

Money don't get everything it's true

What it don't get I can't use

Now give me money (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want)

That's what I want (that's what I want) yeah

That's what I want

Well, now give me money (that's what I want)

Whole lot of money (that's what I want)

Whoah yeah,…

Vs.

The Monkees ~ The Monkees

Here we come, walkin'

Down the street

We get the funniest looks from

Ev'ry one we meet

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees

And people say we monkey around

But we're too busy singing

To put anybody down

We go wherever we want to do

What we like to do

We don't have time to get restless

There's always something new

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees

And people say we monkey around

But we're too busy singing

To put anybody down

We're just tryin' to be friendly

Come and watch us sing and play

We're the young generation

And we've got something to say

Any time, Or anywhere

Just look over your shoulder

Guess who'll be standing there

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees

And people say we monkey around

But we're too busy singing

To put anybody down

Modern Mandalorians are totally overrated. Old Republic Mandalorians however... Swarmed across the galaxy taking planet after planet.

Well looks like the Phantom II has forward facing guns at the very least. I'd be very interested how they will get it to work with the existing Ghost, unless they decide to release it as an ace pack down the line the same way we have the Heroes of the Resistance.

That was a decent episode. I felt like the Ezra we saw in the previous episodes was gone though; he seemed much weaker and incapable. I guess that makes sense because this was a Sabine episode, but I am still a little disappointed. It is cool that Fenn Rau is involved now though, we will finally get some Phoenix Squadron Pilot training!

I Can't wait to see rebel Fenn Rau. Also, I truly hope "Phantom II" doesn't ever get plugged into the Ghost like the original did, it would look stupid.

So do we now have the 1st 3 faction ship??

Fenn Rau is now a Rebel, so they can have a Fang, and there are Imperial Mandalorians, so they can have a Fang.

Fang Fighters for everyone!

Check the preview for the next episode :P It gives the Ghost a dorsal airplane like fin.

I thought this episode could've been better, a bit meh after a 2 week wait, but I'm going to guess its setting something up down the line.

Just a reminder that the big ship was a kom'rk.

Indeed. One is a corvette/heavy fighter, the other is a single-man regular-sized fighter.

Perhaps the Imperial Mandolorians use Fangs, perhaps they use TIEs; all we know is that they *had* a Kom'rk.

Any chance of some screen grabs showing the weapons & docking, for us poor souls who won't get to see the episodes until 6+mths time at the DVD release (if we're lucky and Disney waits as long as usual :( ) ?

Cheers ;)
