STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

f**k you over, I must. Plot it drives. Not in main movies, you are.

I didn't mind the lightsaber helicoptering because of that old thing about ninjas using giant kites to get into places. No seriously, look it up. Giant kites. I'd like to point out that it was also the undoing of Greedo Inquisitor, which means the writers thought it was a dumb thing to rely on, too.

Season 1, I believe. Lightsaber Lost.

Still, this was perhaps the best episode of this show yet, bar none, and the Vader scenes absolutely shone. Even Ahsoka's death (let's not kid ourselves, here) was handled well. Their scenes together were f-ing gold.

Ahsoka isn't dead. You see her walking in to the cave at the end and that weird Owl thing again from the last episode following her.

Hmmm... maybe but....It could be Asoka either fought to a draw and she is pulling a Yoda on Malachor, or she lost to Vader and her spirit is residing in the shadows.... or that wasn't Asoka at all but rather the spirit of the Sith that powered that now destroyed battlestation.

It's almost like they left it unclear........

Maybe the males have 4 fingers.

It is definitely Ahsoka since Ashley Eckstein designed and released a new shirt with that very image on it and Ahsoka's name. She was even wearing it on the Rebel Recon interview.

If that was what it was suppose to be then they messed up. Fingers and feet don't match up on new Inquisitor.

Maybe the males are different?

For the die hard fans, I'm thinking two options: Thrawn or Mara Jade. Honestly, I think people want Mara Jade as Emperor's Hand more than Thrawn, but we will see.

Could also be Maul vs Vader.

Maybe the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic?

Corelian Treaty with Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and Garm Bel Iblis?

It has to happen sooner or later.

Which doesn't discount any of my theories, especially if that Sith spirit is inhabiting Asoka's recently deceased body.... hmmmm

But does that mean Ahsoka is Snoke?

Dave's hinting at somthing in the rebels recon, somthing "Die Hard" fans want, thrawn? As much as I want Obi-wan I don't think he's talking about him.

I do think it's Thrawn.

Don't forget the "Confirmed Leak" or whatever that came out a few months ago. Man it's going to be huge if that is the case....

The new Inquisitor wasn't a Rodian. Look in Rebels Recon, Hidalgo answers that question. It was a species seen in TCW (season 5?).

You're probably right, but in my head he'll forever be Darth Greedo. :)

A t-shirt proves nothing. There are dozens of Michael Jackson and he's dead. Plus, I saw a glint of some kind in the doorway, and not a full-on figure of Ahsoka. Until I see a scene with her alive in it, she's dead. A Force ghost, maybe, but from the anguish on K and E's faces, she definitely met the business end of Vader's lightsaber, just as forecast.

Until I see a scene with her alive in it, she's dead.

Without a body you can't prove someone is dead. So until they say for sure she's dead then she's not.

It's really surprising how many people will ignore things for the sake of keeping their pet theories alive...

Like the deniers who keep insisting she's alive? ;)

She's stone dead. Past her sell-by date. Snuffed it. Bought the farm. Cashed in her chips. Relinquished her breathing privileges. Voided her warranty. She is a past person. Bleedin' demised. 'Er metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'er mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible.

No, she is most certainly not pining for the fjords.

" 'ELLO AHSOKA!!!!! Testing! Testing! Testing! Testing! This is your nine o'clock alarm call!"

Nope, still dead.

Cheer up though. Got a blind jedi and 'is boy for you right here. That's two for one!

I don't think they'd kill such an important character off screen.

I disagree. Kanan and Ezra have no way to know as they left. Last we saw is Ahsoka walking in to that cave. For the time being all evidence points to her and Vader both surviving their fight. Likely a rematch in season 3.

She was shown walking away, most times dead people don't do that.

So all evidence points to her having survived the fight with Vader.

When, after the credits? We saw the cave, from far away, with a glint of something. There was certainly not a full-on shot of Ahsoka, at all.

The Jedi feel death through the Force. K and E did not look happy, nor did the Phantom show up to retrieve her as Vader hobbled away.
