STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

By KCDodger, in X-Wing

Just saw the newest REBELS episode... without spoiling anything.... YES!!!

Love Chopper. That's all I have to say.

Newest episode was great, really fun character interaction in this episode.

Hera scratched another full name scolding off her list.. So space mom.

Anyway the episode was great, first episode in a while I've actually laughed at the humor (not that stupid shopper joke), I loved the two droid's interactions with each other, very 3PO and R2-esque. The only thing I didn't like was how they hammered in the space battle towards the end, and a very minor bug was that fugly imperial freighter. Those Arquittens bridges are becoming the imperial large ship equivalent of the tie series.

Hera full named Chopper!!!!! And Chopper totally killed that Imperial Captain, or gave him some serious brain trauma.

The best part:

Chopper confirmed using cursewords. "You could be disintegrated in six systems for language like that."

I like the warbuddy bond.

Chopper continues to be the best murderbot out there

Felt like a kids show in this one, but fun none the less.

I expected Chopper to actually jettison the crew and steal all the cargo. Slightly disappointed he didn't.

They seriously need to name that carrier. They can't just keep calling it "the carrier".

So, seems the purpose of this episode was just to introduce a C-3PO to the cast. Which we totally didn't need.

At least he sounds like Alan Rickman.

Pretty sure it's their 3rd incarnation of Phoenix home. They use its call sign in the episode.

I must have missed that.

Never saw what he did with the ship.

No witnesses...

What was the ship type that Shadow Captain was flying that helped the Ghost dock safely with the carrier? She said thanks to "Kesu" but I wasn't sure who that was and didn't recognize the ship type.

They called it "Shadow Caster," but whether that's the name of the model or of that specific ship wasn't clear.

Shadowcaster. Last seen in "Blood Sisters"

At least he sounds like Alan Rickman.

Glad I am not the only one that thought that

Yeah. Listening to the new droid talk, when he was warning about the target system I half expected to hear "You can't go there! The mice are about to blow it up!"

I heard less Alan Rickman and more the original Marvin the Paranoid Android from the old BBC. "Brain the size of a planet, and they ask me to do THIS..."

"You could be disintigrated in six systems for saying such things!" :P

The ship model is, as of yet, unnamed. We only know the ship itself's name.

I actually really enjoyed tonight's episode. I didn't go into it with any expectations, and found myself laughing at some of the jokes thrown in there. I can see Marvin AP-5 quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in Rebels.

Did anyone else watch the Rebels Recon for the episode? Probably the best Recon so far, in my opinion. And I really enjoyed a certain detail they included in the trailer for next week's episode.

I quite liked this episode! I mean, it's no secret that I adore Chopper. So this was a very special treat.

I set any expectation for main arc progression aside, and really enjoyed this episode.

Chopper has a circuit board of gold ultimately :)

Since the return after Christmas I think overall Rebels has been consistently good. Looking forward to getting into the meaty bits though.
