I'd be down for the Hammerhead Epic. Especially if it had the Hera repaint with Hera and Sabine Pilot cards. Heck, I'd be down for the cargo ships they have flying with the fleet too.
STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!
Still waiting on Lord Tion to show up.
I believe Captain Pellaeon said it best. The battle for the forest moon of End or would have ended very differently if Grand Admiral Thrawn was there.
That being said, IF Thrawn does show up, I think we can see his card show up in both XWing and Armada.
Hes pretty biased saying that, endor already had two Grand Admirals present, one was a Dark Jedi, the other was a bad *** that was forced years earlier to fight an enemy fleet with a single SD and nothing else. He survived the encounter. He also prevented the Rebel fleet on Endor from doing any serious damage to it while they regrouped at a diffrent location. It took an hour - hours before they were able to disable his SD.

Because legends is a convoluted mess.
This, this EXACTLY RIGHT HERE is why we should all be glad Disney rebooted SW.
Elsewhere canon would look a bit like this:

and not in the good way.
Edited by DariusAPBYou know, I checked this thread for updates and I had a little bit of an epiphany
What if Disney has learned from the oldcanon EU.
I mean think about it, no more "jedi of the week" (after a purge there were way to many around).
Maybe major characters from rebels won't get to live past season 5. I see this as a good thing. Alternatively, what if Rebels ends on a high note, and afterwards there is a grimdark age of empire TV series. In which case characters cameoing might get ganked, double ganked, triple ganked, mega ganked and M M M M MONSTERGANKED!
See, in the above example, Heir to the empire had the above "oh if Thrawn was there". I remember, back in my XvT days I made the comment "if I were there in an interceptor..."
All the same thing, all these extra EU sources. By the time the EU was done there were 2 Grand Admirals, TIE Defenders, Star Destroyers powered by unicorn farts etc etc etc.
Simplicity can be beautiful too.
Edited by DariusAPBPink unicorn farts? Or rainbow unicorn farts?
In the old EU? Both, separately - with a super version running on both together.
BKL can probably tell us that in TIE Fighter Battle 6 Mission 4, Admiral Zaarin created the ultimate starfighter running off bud light, unicorn farts (both kinds in a mixture), kyber crystals and the power of friendship.
Edited by DariusAPBSPOILER warning for last episode and kanan comic
You sure you want to keep reading?
Ok.....
Issue 10 of kanan has the battle from the episode they talked about.
The Mando leader is in it and everything. Awesome that they have actually tied it together tighter.
So I went into this episode with low expectations, in fact the only reason I tuned in was to see Hondo being the Star Wars equivalent to Captain Jack Sparrow, but as soon as the imploded star sequence started this episode landed a spot in my top 5 for this season. The soundtrack during the escape from Kallus is probably one of the best Star Wars scores I've ever heard, the visuals are absolutely beautiful (take that Rebels animation haters!), and that whole magically induced hyperspace part gave me goosebumps! Zeb's character feels like he has matured in a way and ,for some reason that I can't explain, I like Kallus more after this episode. Now of course the episode isn't perfect. I don't care too much for either of the Lasats in this episode (they were a bit annoying), up until Zeb's big moment he was unpleasantly whiny, and I really don't like the fact that the Arquittens can carry TIEs now.OMG, that entire chase sequence was awesome!![]()
my thoughts exacty.
The only part I didn't like was how they were like, "yea, there are more Lasats, *shrug*."
I loved how the mystical aspects got cranked up to 11 here.
The music certainly helped.
But god **** those tie fighters got the short end of it
Hondo makes any episode better. A bit disappointed that wasn't actually the Maw, even if it is essentially the same thing. Still, great effects and music when they reached that point.

But Rebels is a kiddy show right?
Honestly that kriffing horrified me. Seriously. I was like "Oh, jesus christ. "
But **** talk about SPACE MAGIC™ right!? yikes.
...Pretty cool that the ARGHKITTENS can actually carry TIEs in that forward prong, though.
Anyone else watch the Rebels Recon to get a preview of next week's episode? We're getting Ivory Void Whales in Star Wars Rebels!
And shockingly, I'm not refering to Lambdas.

I was more excited by the escalation of bothering Pablo in the middle of his coffee.

^Sounds like he's fed up with these crazy stupid fan theories as much as we are!
Yeah, that was the correct reaction to that question.
Edited by SithborgMy cable company uploaded tonight's episode for onDemand... 3 hours BEFORE it aired!
(xfinity comcast, seattle)
I wish my TiVo got verizon on demand. My friend got it around 2:00 est.

"...No."
Got a real BSG vibe from the music this week.
Best episode of Farscape/BSG/Star Trek I have seen in ages!

The magical hyperspace(at the fact that now the Ghost can apparently return there whenever it wants because it's "been there") feels pretty Deus Ex Machina to me, but I agree with the rest of that.
Also, was cool seeing an Arquitens launch TIEs.
The only part I didn't like was how they were like, "yea, there are more Lasats, *shrug*."
Yeah, I honestly thought this was going to be a two-parter when they were just arriving at the very end of the episode, but then they just kinda handwaved the conclusion in 2 minutes.
Speaking of two-parter, what happened to all the multi-episode arcs we were getting in the beginning of this season?
