STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

Anyone else really like the noise the turrets on the Ghost make? It has a sort of hollow, mechanical ring to it that is unlike the sound of other weapons in Star Wars (that I recall, at least) but is unique and pretty awesome.

It's super cool.

Maybe they will use it in a Marvel movie.....

Honestly that's one of my least favorite things. Don't really sound like Star Wars lasers. Just sorta like an air gun...

a bunch of new Awing Paint schemes, not that we need more.

I wouldn't really call it "new". It's just a recoloring of an already existing scheme.

I think you mean pallet swap.

So

So what are those Mandalorian ships? They look just like the ones Death Watch used in the Clone Wars show, but smaller. Are they supposed to be the same or a smaller cousin. I recently re-watched the episodes with the Death Watch and their ships are almost as big as a Gonzati. I don't think these are the same.

Well yeah, they're clearly just fighters of the same vein.

Just smaller.

Well at least we now know that these are apparently a wing, a wings not spearheads.

We've known that for a while.

Can I say that I think that the wings spin like crazy when they shoot, as if the entire ship was a giant gatling gun, is ridiculous?

That trailer hopefully bodes well for Hera getting to do something for a change, instead of just 'flying the ship'! Even if that is 'flying a different ship'. Those Mandalorian fighters are awesome as well. I wonder if we'll get more information on what exactly went down on Mandalore after Clone Wars was cancelled; Rex mentioned the Siege of Mandalore a while back, but as far as I'm aware we don't actually know what that was.

R-22s were A-wings just as much as RZ-1s.

X-wings come in at least three models now, T-65, 70 and 85

Yeah, last we saw was Bo-Katan taking over, with the promise to Obi-Wan that she'd inform the Republic, and Obi-Wan advising that the Republic would invade. I'm guessing the siege was the consequence of that. It would be nice to fill in that gap.

We've known that since A-Wings first appeared in Rebels. The showrunners specifically clarified that they're RZ-1s, and not spearheads.

In fact, I don't believe the Spearhead currently exists in the new canon.

I mean these a wings could be a different design all together. Aren't these ones named starfighters rather than interceptors? That's like the difference between a passenger 747 and a cargo one.

Maybe someone will ask in rebels recon eventually.

I think people are trying too much of tiny little differences.

I never understood the R22/RZ1 thing apart from the A-wing being an excuse for a supposedly post yavin ship appearing in pre yavin media (Xwing, Droids).

Now that there is no canon to state that it's post yavin, there is no canon required for it to be split into two sub-ships.

Just a little something to get you excited for next episode...

Watching this clip got me thinking as to who Sabine's mother is. My guess is it's Bo-Katan Kryse. Now I know her surname is not Wren but, to those in the know here, do Mandalorian women take the name of the family they marry into?

I think we will find that Wren is a taken name from the bird with the same name, and is supposed to be connected to her desire to be free. Also might be the original inspiration for the Phoenix she likes to paint all the time.

I agree with the Bo-Katan theory.

Did I miss something? Where is Darth Maul in Rebels?

Season 5 or 6... Basically a big arc with the deathwatch.

Bleh, I misread I figured you meant TCW - in Rebels he is in the season 2 trailer.
