STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

I do wish FFG would credit the artists on the cards, similar to what Wizards of the Coast does for Magic the Gathering.

It really is hard to track because there are some cards I want to get signed by the artists behind them

All you need to be Kallus are the sideburns, and they knew it. They drew up a realistic, grizzled agent-man, gave him the sideburns and boom: Perfect Kallus.

Ezra is done from the smarmy-looking portrait of him on the wiki page; I really think they should have just drawn a realistic boy from reference and given him blue hair. Between the very defined laugh-lines, thick philtrum and adult expression, he looks like a man. (Once again not a problem, it looks like most of the other characters have aged too. It's just that we don't know, and not knowing bugs me.)

The ISB man looks like the same guy that was the Falcons gunner in ROTJ, but with sideburns, I hope they are not the same person. The arts good enough

Ezra looks like a young Professor Snape... I wonder if Zann knows him?

This was an amazing episode. It felt like it was over in 5 minutes; I was totally drawn in for the whole thing. Ezra's power is really starting to scare Kanan, I think. He is getting more powerful in every episode. You can see that Ezra will soon be more powerful, but need Kanan's calming presence to relieve him of his stress. I think we're going to see a lot more of the inquisitors making Ezra emotional to try to pull him to the dark side.

I've been wondering about Ezra. This is a kid's show so do they kill him, turn him to the dark side or something else. He's got to be gone before the movie Star Wave (your Episode IV) but how? Remember it is a kid's show.

Yeah the card art is pretty freaking ugly. Did you all notice that Ezra and the alt art Dash have the same smile and look on their face? And Sabine and Hera both look like dudes. Just saying.

I will probably stop watching if Ashoka dies in this season. I will be done with them at the drop off that specific hat.

See above. Ashoka was very important in Clone Wars and is important now but gone by the time Star Wars is out. Or they could just let the show run it's course until the ratings drop and just cancel it like Clone Wars. I didn't like that Clone Wars ended but it was cool where it did with Ashoka leaving the Jedi order and her master.

They have talked about the matter of "the last of the jedi" before and pretty much said that the line is less literal than one would think.

In short: they have no obligation to kill them off.

Very true but they don't appear in the movie either.

Very true but they don't appear in the movie either.

That's what happens when a work of fiction is expanded upon far beyond the original extents.

As for "why were they not at yavin?"

Multiple cells, multiple planets, multiple bases.

Force-users /= Jedi/Sith.

You can still be a force-user without sticking to an established believe-system.

As in believing in one god without being a member of the established book religions, for example.

Well I am counting on her being killed by Star Killer however just because she wasn't seen around that time doesn't mean she is dead. General Rohm Kota was at the Battle of Endor, he was aboard on of the Mon Cal cap ships, he was feeding tactical information to ground forces he was in charge of looking after. Why he wasn't on the ground fighting is another story. Possible between TFU2 and Ep6 he was seriously wounded and couldn't fight anylonger.

Same thing could happen to Ashoka that happend to Kota.

And I am SO glad they went with that..! Because it allows us to see all those cool little ships that didn't do anything, DO something!

Star killer, Kota, and the rest will never show up again

His story was one of a single person inciting something grander. Rebels and star wars as a whole are about many people doing what they think is right because they think they should.

That story has long since ended, and now we have a fresher start in its place. Why be beholden to the old when trying to create new?

Not only that, but the story is better, less utterly convoluted.

The Emperor making The Rebellion by accident is absolutely stupid.

The only person that is going to kill Ahsoka is Vader. How this enhances Luke's story and his role in turning Vader back from the Dark Side is something that greatly enhances Vader and Luke's story.

Besides the stupidity of bringing the terrible story of TFU back into canon, it makes no sense for him to send assassins after Ahsoka. He very much wants her alive, since she is probably his best lead to finding Obi-wan.

And if she refuses, then she's just one less link to Anakin Skywalker that he must sever.

But just as well, somebody that might nudge him away- if only a tiny, tiny bit, from his path.

No. That is Luke's job. Filoni has even stated as much. He may try to convert her to the Dark Side, because let's be honest, Ahsoka would be a great choice for Sith Apprentice. But, when it comes time to end it, he will.

Oh absolutely- I'm just saying, just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle reminder of who he used to be. A brief moment of pause, even a millisecond, be it before during or after.

Vader at this point in time is a dead man inside. He views Asoka as a bitter leftover of a past he wants nothing more than to forget, she is number 2 or 3 on his "KILL WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE" list.

Luke is the first time he had any awakening of the good person that was Anakin Skywalker.

The Emperor making The Rebellion by accident is absolutely stupid.

We will see those characters again, besides a bunch of tfu characters are primary now.

The emperor didnt make the alliance on accident, but if you ignore tfu in effect the emperor did make the alliance on accident via events in ep 3.

Tfu series had an awesome story which is complimented well bt rebels. After all we do see that rebel cells are active during tfu.

However if you want to use the convoluted card i will point out star wars rebels wins hands down with a full house. They turned Vader into Derp Vader and they now appear to be trying to make Storm Troopers more usless with every epis9de they appear in. At this rate they will die just from talking.

At least they handle Vader with respect in both tfu games. They at least explain that in the first one Sidious was using the force to manipulate the fight between vader and galen. They show in tfu2 Vader purposely lost, he was counting on being taken alive and to be questioned by the some of the heads of the alliance. He would have then killed them.

As a backup he had the dark clone force cloaked with terror troopers standing next to him to counter clone 11xx if he did decide to kill Vader. Also. Boba Fett was at a distance with a sniper blaster also watching Vaders back.

Also swtfu 1&2 were full of badass special forces that made the ge look respectable. Shadow EVOs, Imperial Navy Commandos, Terror Trooper, Sith magic users, Purge Troopers, Shadow Guard, Jump Troopers, Riot Troopers.

All of them were reall6 bad ass and with the lore presented with them or other media you can see they were never to be *** with. With Rebels you get 99% content thats embarrassing for fans of imperial.

Although some of Rebels is entertaining i think the only reasons people like this show is because they are a fan of Rebels, the faction.

Or they are looking at everything new sw related with rose tinted glasses. I have noticed a large group of these people that i think are looking at these things with rose tinted glasses are now psyhicing themsel3ves into hating everything that was made in the past, shadows of the empire, rogue squadron, even freaking sw tie fighter, a game that ussually wins 1st as best sw game ever, has won awards in the recent years as best game ever, electronic games had compared it with 3very game made up to that point including halo 3 and it beat them all. Lastly it made it into the games hall of fame, yet now supposedly it is garbage compared to sw rebels? BS!!!!!

Nothing made recently even compares to SW TIE Fighter in awesomeness epsically the new sw comics.

I would agree with TIE Fighter being teh awesomeness.

That's about it though.

The Empire in TFU was one of my favorite depictions of the Empire period. It felt big , advanced , and scary . (At least until your character became a god of hellfire.)

Say what you will about it, there were some pretty cool troopers! :D

I will admit that they used the level design well in conveying the nature of the empire.

The places you revisit get increasingly worse as the empire ruins them
