If it's not a Title card, then what's the picture on the back of the card? That "•Phantom" card is the second half of a Ghost/Phantom title card for the VCX-100. There is no 'title' card for the Assault Shuttle as yet.
STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!
Wow, that was a good episode.
Also... I'm falling harder and harder in love with those A-Wings the more I see them. They're friggin' beautiful.
The card is labeled for the "Title" deck, but that Phantom is not a specific title card. There can be another card titled "•Phatom" 'Title: Assault Shuttle only' in the future. Both cards could be used on the same shuttle but only one is the "Title" card.If it's not a Title card, then what's the picture on the back of the card?

Except that the Phantom card is a title card, even if it's not technically a ship-specific one, which means an Attack Shuttle-specific title card would not be able to simultaneously equip since you can only have 1 title card, and the Phantom title IS equipped to the ship.

Indeed. It's still a Title card. And the rules are specific about only one Title card per ship.
So unless the new Title card that would give it it's Astromech slot also contained a specific rule that ALSO let it equip the Phantom title, then it's not possible.
That said, they could just as easily make it an Attack Shuttle only. Modification instead. Then it wouldn't even be limited to a single Attack Shuttle. You could put Astromech slots on as many Attack Shuttles as you wanted.

Yeah but as far as we know, The Phantom is the ONLY one with such an upgrade... And if you might notice...
Chopper isn't an astromech by any means in this game's mechanics.
EDIT: Real quick, boy do the characters look bad in FFG's art. Yeesh.

I can understand why they didn't let Chopper be an astromech. It would probably lead to silly things.
Like boarding actions.
Just saying.
Edit. (Just read the Chopper thread. My gif got trans-thread ninja'd. )
Edited by OneKelvinOh yeah, no, I'm cool with Chopper not being one. I prefer it that way, tbh.

Edit: I still prefer his crew card over the other, I just love the fact he can allow an action while stressed but he winds up breaking something in the process.
Edited by SentinalOr they can do like what they did with R2-D2, make a 'astromech' and a 'crew' card for Chopper.
Indeed. It's not like they didn't already give a bunch of the Rebels crew multiple cards.
If you give the Phantom an Astromech slot and add a Chopper Astromech upgrade, then you can get all 6 of the main cast onto those two ships.
"Now, we do not want to encourage you to head into your first viewing of The Force Awakens with the idea of Star Wars gaming in the back of your head. No, you want to enjoy the movie experience as much as possible. Keep it fresh. Keep it pure and uninterrupted. And save the idea of imagining the possibilities for your favorite Star Wars games for your second, third, or later trips to the theater."-FFGThis is a very kind sentiment for a company.(One that I will disregard the very first time I see a new fighter onscreen. )"What are those ships, and how would their stats play out in X-Wing? Are there any pilots you would expect to see incorporated as ship cards? Are there any upgrades that have not already made the game? How would you expect to see them? Of course, we will have our own plans and ideas, but sometimes the act of imagining all the great things that might appear can be almost as rewarding as the things themselves."-FFGThis is more along the lines of what'll be going through my head.Oh, and by the way.... since this is the Rebels X-Wing thread....Boom.The legitimacy is real my friends. Now you can Rebels while you X-Wing.
Ok, how long before someone makes cards using images from the show and how much will they charge for a set so I can buy them?
Yeah the card art is pretty freaking ugly. Did you all notice that Ezra and the alt art Dash have the same smile and look on their face? And Sabine and Hera both look like dudes. Just saying.
I will probably stop watching if Ashoka dies in this season. I will be done with them at the drop off that specific hat.
But spaceship battles are getting awesome! Though I have yet to see the Ghost fire torpedoes. Did I miss it?
Though I have yet to see the Ghost fire torpedoes. Did I miss it?
No. But they did say something to the effect of "We can use the torpedoes" this week. But then they didn't get to fire them.
So we know it has them, we just haven't seen it yet.
Edited by DarthEnderXI actually like the art of Kallus. He looks pretty much like a no-nonsense Javert-type rebelhunter...!
The Ghost-art is pretty inferior though.

Why. Kanan why. You have a middle-aged man with a beard and some armor; how is this different than the billion-and-one Warhammer, Game of Thrones and Android portraits you've done before? Why did you draw him five miles away from the camera, and why did you keep him a cartoon at his current age when the other characters are older/realistic/different. I don't know what's going on.
And yet.
I play the Empire, and Kallus gets the best portrait.
It's nice to know that we win in the end. Muhahahahah!
I for one welcome FFG's perspective on the annoying little crit that is Ezra.
Crazy amount of content in the Ghost expansion. Can't wait to run as many of them as possible at the same time. I think one has to miss out though. Will have to take another ship with the left over as crew.
As to the episode, one of season 2's better offerings so far for me. The heroes escape but only after the actor troopers manage to effectively trap them. Any one other than a force user and they had them. We see a mook TIE take down an escaping ship. I like that the heroes were shown earning their escape rather than derpaderp imperials causing it themselves. I know some find Ezra annoying but I ought it was an excellent episode for him. I'm really lie,d him losing it a little and Kanan having to step in.
I mean, seriously these cards...
Sabine and Hera are quite pretty in the show, so I'm not entirely sure why they were hit with the dude hammer. And that's coming from a guy that's quite fond of androgyny. It's just weird for these characters. But Ezra...
What the
f*ck
is WRONG with his FACE!? Heavy smile lines, widebrows and tinyeyes that SMARMY GRIN. Like... He looks like he's holding back this huge, stinky fart. He looks like he's about to unleash it, or he's saving it for somebody- maybe Zeb, for when they're passing by. I mean, I don't even know what his expression is supposed to be..? And that nose! What in the world is that?
Pain? Joy? Dreamworksfaic? I just don't
know
what's going on in Ezra's head. Or who's clothes he's wearing- those sure ain't the ones from the show! (Same with Hera.)
Whatever the case is.
I don't want to be there for when he lets that force push
go.
Oh Force that has me dying!
I mean honestly. The Sabine and Hera art doesn't even look androgynous as much as it looks like bad cross dressing y'know? The more I look at it the more I come to that conclusion.
Since we're discussing card art:
My favorite of the set. I love the Rebel Phoenix formed in the jet wash of Sabine's shuttle.

Huh. It is isn't it.
Not bad FFG, not bad.
Like I said. The ship artistry is on point. Might have said that in another thread though.

Not bad FFG, not bad.
It shows to me that the people working on X-Wing are watching Rebels. The same image was generated when the stolen Gozanti flew through the smoke cloud at the beginning of the season 1 finale "Fire Across The Galaxy".
I do wish that FFG would sell a collection of their art for this game, either in a book or as individual prints.
Edited by T70 DriverFunny you should say that, because I saw Dark Curse, R2D2 crew, and Determination art on a star wars calendar. Is all the card art by FFG?
