I don't think that was Ackbar.
I'm wondering if that bounty hunter might be Bo-Katan.

Too small. Sabine is only 16 and these two are comparable in size. I also can't see Bo-Katan using anything but her Mandalorian gear.
I also can't see Bo-Katan using anything but her Mandalorian gear.
I kinda thought the same thing. The only reason I thought it is because the voice seems right, but that doesn't really mean much.

When I get home from work my 3 year old son run up to me raps his arms around my leg looks up and says "watch star wars daddy" it makes me so happy can't wait to start watching the new season with him
B-Wings and Inquisitors and Interdictors and Mandalorians and and Darth Vader and Jedi Pirates and the Emperor and . . . hoooo boy, the mix is mighty.
When I get home from work my 3 year old son run up to me raps his arms around my leg looks up and says "watch star wars daddy" it makes me so happy can't wait to start watching the new season with him
I know the exact same feeling. When my son hears the music, he screams: Yes! yes! yes! And shakes his fists in joy. Hits me right in the feels.

That's the best thing ever.
Where was Ackbar in the trailer? Also are we sure that Quarrie, the mon calamari who shows the rebels the B-Wing, designs the B-Wing because the canon B-Wing page on Wookieepedia says Ackbar designed it.
I'm still hoping a rebel Neb-B or 2 shows up this season, perhaps with the rebels party committing grand theft frigate, that Hondo still has his Corona Armed Frigate and becomes the first canon rebel privateer.
He says in the trailer, "It's one of my most advanced designs."
Could also be a prototype that Ackbar later built on.
I didn't think Ackbar was in the new canon as having designed it but I see it mentioned on their canon version of the page... however, if you notice on the "Talk" page at least one person is questioning that.
I'm the person questioning it though and no one has replied yet one way or the other.
It ain't Ackbar.
Yeah you see the guy, and it's some short, fat Mon Cal guy. Not Ackbar.
Edited by InterceptorMadI wonder why the canon page says it is? Has anyone got the Ultimate Star Wars book handy because I'm guessing from the note references that is where the the data is supposed to be, whether it is in the Ackbar entry or the B-Wing one I'm not sure..
The canon Ackbar page Wookieepedia doesn't cover it but has very little data after the Clone Wars so that means nothing IMO.
Edited by RogueCoronaMaybe the issue is that wikipedia (wookiepedia) is not official in anyway.
Yeah but they usually do a good job of keeping the canon and legends material separate and even Legends didn't state he designed it personally like the canon page does just that he was the project manager for the design team.
There are three characters seen in the OT that the EU established as being involved in ship design Ackbar, Blissex, and Tarkin.
Tarkin has been established as still being a ship designer in the new canon.
Blissex's status as a ship designer is unknown but the fact that the new canon backstory for the A-Wing, which he designed for the Alliance in Legends, has it being manufactured by a company which he had a long history of working for in Legends makes be wonder if his role in the design is the same it is justing the timing which is different.
And then there is Ackbr.
And honestly I'm not really sure I like the idea of a Mon Calamari named Quarrie. To me Quarrie sounds like an insulting term for a Quarren. I get it is supposed to be a tribute to Ralph McQuarrie but IMO there are better ways to do a tribute to him. A non-Mon Cala native species character named Quarrie be involved with the X-Wing design, include Pharl McQuarrie, the Alliance general cameo role Ralph McQuarrie played in Empire Strikes Back or better yet both.

To be fair, given the show's odd art style, you can't really assume any character is or isn't someone based just on their looks.
For example, I would never have assumed Hondo was Hondo if I hadn't heard him speak.

When I saw this I had a mini orgasm and slid out of my chair.
They still need to fix Vader's robotic plodding, though. Movie Vader had a smooth, flowing gait to his stride.

Maybe he got some new cyberlegs between now and the start of ANH.

We did hear the Mon Cal speak, though.
Also, Hondo doesn't look that far off from his TCW look but has different clothes. That's the only thing seemed off about him to me.
And we've seen Ackbar on TCW, which I admit has a different style but I sincerely doubt it would be that different (especially considering the voice difference).

Which sucks, cause he used to have the coolest outfit!
From the dialog, I get the impression that was Sabine's mother or sister. I admit I have not seen any of the CW so I have no clue about characters.

Actually, the translation of the aurebesh on her armor says otherwise.

Maybe, though the voice sounded like Gina Torres rather than Katee Sackhoff. I suppose they could have changed VA though I don't see much that would have kept Katee from doing it (unless she doesn't want to, I guess).

Oooh, what does it translate to?
