STAR WARS: REBELS Discussion Thread!

And Black Knight Leader is thrown into the Pit of Ignoringness.

I am pretty tired of reading your continuous Troll-droppings.

Cheers.

Is there an ignore function here? I haven't been able to find it yet.

Yes, but it isn't the most intuitive. You have to go to "edit my profile" and there will be a "Ignore preferences" tab. Then you have to manually put in the user's name that you want to ignore.

I much prefer the white bars at the top of this page to the walls of text.

If you're using an adblocker:

community.fantasyflightgames.com##DIV.post_ignore

That'll hide the element entirely once you've ignorelisted someone.

So with the siege of lothal episodes, and wave 8, do you think we'll see the rebels command vessel as another epic later down the line, as well as some Ps 2 Phoenix squadron pilots, maybe? And if the trailer hints at anything, maybe Hera in a B-wing? (and some Ps 3 Grey squadron B-wing pilots as well, Gray squadron had both B's and Y's at endor!) Of course I wouldn't expect these immediately (The B-wings/A-wings don't really need "fixes" or anything special like that since Rebel aces, but it would in my opinion, be nice to see some fresh pilot cards for them, Mabye an R-22 title card, and B-wing prototype card), but I would like to see the A/B-wing get some more love later down the line. After the scum epic ship, of course.

Also another Rebels topic, do you think Sabine's past will eventually be explained, so that we know what happened to the mandalorians' after the clone wars. Because

I am very unhappy that they made mandalore a death watch darth maul controlled planet and then ended the series before finishing that sub-plot. sure Savage died, but what about the rest of the mandalorians? And Boba? He didn't learn how to be a mando bounty hunter sitting in republic prison with Bossk!

thoughts?

I'm hoping that Boba Fett shows up in Rebels at some point, maybe with another Mandalorian, learning/just learned the ropes of being a Bounty Hunter. Maybe he does better than all of the others, which is how he ends up on Darth Vader's radar for Episode 5.

EDIT: It might also be some decent development from Sabine, seeing some of her own people working against her?

I do believe we are getting some more on Sabine this season. Which will probably touch a bit on Mandalore's fate.

I AM curious to know what happened with Mandalore, because at the end of Clone Wars, Death Watch was basically in charge, and that never really got resolved.

Also, they never actually got around to re-killing off Darth Maul in Clone Wars, so he could still be alive as well.

Wait, did this thread just get back on track? Wow!

Boba has gotta show up in Rebels, especially with Sabine being mando and all. I'm sure we will see some other bounty hunters along the way too. Here's hoping we get IG-88 in his super cool TIE variant IG-1000 ship.

Still waiting for Cad Bane to come crawling out of the shadows. Him and Boba having a stand off with Fett becoming the new 'most infamous' in he galaxy would be awesome beyond words.

When does the new season hit?

The reason Luke didn't die in the DS trench run was because his craft put out enough ecm signals to keep Vader from getting a true electronic lock-on with his cannons. The force was also on his side, with Ben very likely, through the force, interfering with Vaders targeting computer and possible force attunement. He "could" have tried and fire the cannon without computer assetaints but then he still has the issue with ECM countermeasures interfering with the Beam.

DS-61-2 wasn't a "Bone Head" he reacted to being attacked from behind, he was just in a bad situation since his enemy had him in his sights and was above him. He had very few places too go.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Ok smart guy, why wouldn't a ship named the "Ghost" not have those ECMs, not to mention containing two force users, one an actual trained Jedi. I'm also curious why so many other rebel pilots didn't bother using their ECMs, presumably they have actual experience flying x-wings. This is of course leaving aside that they never mention ECMs, are flying in essentially a straight line, and Vader is one of the best pilots in the galaxy. I'm sure he gets routinely stumped by ECMs in ships that aren't maneuvering.

Seriously. ECMs. So hilarious. The ghost clearly has tractor beams that can push enemy blasters off target then if we're just pulling nonsense out of our backsides.

And I'm sure an ace pilot while flying in formation would panic under fire and not just pull up. Like all of those rebel pilots that were in that EXACT situation and managed to not just not panic, but maneuvered around in the trench until they also got shot in the back with ease by Vader. Again, even with their magic ECMs preventing Vader from getting a lock presumably.

Dear crap, ECMs. Man I needed that laugh. Thanks

Really, I think what this illustrates so well is that when you want to love something you excuse it's flaws or make up reasons (magic ECMs) but when you want to hate something it's easy to rip it apart and give it zero leeway whatsoever.

Any jamming in the trench would have been from the Death Star, not the snub fighters. Dunno if the empire is dumb enough to jam their own frequencies as well as the Rebels.

Why don't we just say that the Space Magic was with Luke and that is what caused Vader to not take him down?

And Darth Vader is the best bad guy of all time. Everyone knows this.

Anyone else here think that the Mando chick from that plot arc is Sabines Mom?

That's so wrong, ecm is very strong in star wars and every fighter uses it as its a common technology just like repulsor lift engines.

In the trench the fighters were flying faster than normal because it was a straight run down the trench with no need for sharp manoeuvres they'd usually perform.

So distance plus speed plus ecm means it takes a while to lock on, they Arnt firing lasers but plasma bolts which travel under the speed of light so you also have to add that to the equation.

All those things combined make for a tricky shot without computer assistance.

Anyone else here think that the Mando chick from that plot arc is Sabines Mom?

In all seriousness though, it is very possible.

Hmm didn't consider that... Possibly Obi-Wan and her daughter!! (Okay that part is a joke)

In all seriousness though, it is very possible.

Unlikely. Sabine is only a year or so older than Ezra and the timing of events in the Life of the Duchess makes the iddea of her carrying a child improbable.

He's talking about Bo-Katan....

Anyone else here think that the Mando chick from that plot arc is Sabines Mom?

Probably. Though that would make Sabine, like, the Princess of Mandalore. Since the Manda chick from that arc was Bo-katan, Dutchess Satine's sister.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Bo-katan took over Mandalore once Maul was gone. And that Sabine is somewhat named after her dead aunt.

It shouldn't have this connection though.

Occasional family ties in a Saga are refreshing nuances - on the other hand "EVERYONES's connected" is a straight up nuisance...! There are billions of people out there in the 'verse after all.

Yeah, and nobody cares about them.

Well, the Empire surely does...! ;)

Only the humans, that's why we erected all those laser fences to keep the aliens out.

For any dedicated subhuman there are enough vacant living quarters on the workers levels of Coruscant available.

Star Wars does have a continued proven history of family ties through it's saga though, Even Hera is the daughter of that Twi'lek freedom fighter from TCW.

There are billions of people out there in the 'verse after all.

Yeah, and nobody cares about them.

Which is why I like RPing a lowly TIE Pilot, or a faceless Scout Trooper.

Oh, sure, it starts out that way. You start out as a fresh faced pilot right out of the academy. But by the time you're finished, you've destroyed an Admiral attempting to secede and his fleet of advanced starship prototypes and become a hero of the Empire. And you were actually legendary ace Maarek Stele the whole time!
