Edited by Duke of AdvilTL-DR: TCW fixes the prequels.
I have no idea what this means. I get T(he)C(lone)W(ars), but I don't get TL-DR.
I also recommend "Fall of the Jedi" fan edit for the prequel episodes.

Here comes Vader, single-highhandedly owning a squadron of A-wing and a corvette. No that is a Sith Lord we deserved, then, suddenly when faced against the main heroes he fails to hit ship the size of a barn.
Let's do a recap, first He destroys with pin-point accuracy nimble A-wings and than fails against ship that spins, slowly I may add.
So yeah. It's just sad
Keep in mind, he was trying to take Ahsoka alive. He was pretty clear that he wanted the Ghost taken alive.
As for the Empire being a threat, how different is it from the OT?
The first scene in the OT is the Empire kicking ass. Indeed I'd argue that if they weren't so arrogant (and launched more of the thousands of TIE's the Death Star had) They would have won.
In ESB The Empire kickass, Hoth was a huge defeat for the Rebels.
Only in ROTJ do we see... Ewoks.

I'm waaay off. I just saw the HQ pic on eBay. It says something else. The first pic was so blurry, it really looked like Embo. Just a dude with a cool hat.
Sorry, I got excited.

just glancing at it I would have come to the same conclusion
miss anything with Amidala in it is terrible (honestly, I just finishing up season 6, and I liked the Jar Jar episodes better than the Amidala/Emo Skywalker ones),
Ugh, completely agree. Amidala episodes are the WORST.
anything with the mandalorians in it (which you would think would be cool, because hey Mandalorians) is boring as hell,
Depends which ones. Anything revolving around Satine and Mandalorian society was indeed boring. But the Death Watch were always cool.
In fact in some cases it ruined what I liked about the prequel movies, like the Darth Maul episodes. Darth Maul was the coolest thing in episode I, but the TCW kinda ruined the character for me,
I think his character actually got much better over the course of the series. As he became more calculating and plan-oriented, he became more interesting.
I'm also confused why Maul was an apprentice of Dooku
He wasn't. Maul was Sidious' apprentice before Dooku.
TBH the only episodes I did actually really like were the Clone trooper ones and the bountyhunter ones, and a few of the jedi ones were okay despite Ashoka
Agreed again. The bounty hunters and clone troopers are the best parts of the series. Except for Boba, who I kept waiting to transition into being cool, but never actually gets there.

TL-DR means "too long-- didn't read"
The series really does make up for the prequel movies, and does a great job of bridging Ep 2 and Ep3, to boot.

In only a few of the episodes, they showed Anakin slipping into the darker side of his personality. He gets pissed and goes too far out of rage and frustration, and it's done so much better than the hamfisted performance from the prequels. It's one of the things they do really well.
It also manages to make him likable as well. You actually feel BAD about what you know is going to happen to him. Whereas in the Prequels you're just like, "God, what an annoying ****bag. I can't wait for Luke to throw this guy in the fire."
Fives gets it the worst though, because Shaak Ti is goddamn retarded.
Edited by DarthEnderXEdited by Duke of AdvilThough I don't really care for this series so far, I will give it credit for this:
Once Ahsoka showed up, it made me want to go back and watch the rest of Clone Wars, which I'd stopped watching halfway through.
And that show gets really good in the later seasons. So I'm really glad I did that.
I think Hondo was my favorite character.
SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED IT
Though why wouldn't you?
The arc where they write Ahsoka out of the show is one of the best of the series.
My favorite ep is when Grievous goes in with the army and demolishes the Night Sisters, though. My God, if he'd realized what Sidious was doing and rebelled, we'd have one hell of a villain around today....

Yeah they made Vader Incompetent as all hell in that story. If they wanted to make him looking good they should have had him quickly kill any main character he encountered. If they wanted an epic fight scene that shows off the growing power of the Darkside within the Empire, but have the heros still live because of believeable reasons, they should of had them fight an Imperial Shadow Guard.
Hell Vader should be called "Derp Vader" from here on out.
IMP Officer: What are your orders Lord Vader?
(Vader makes a dramatic pose)
Derp Vader: MEOW!
(The SD bridge crew looks to each other in terror, some even droping their equipment)
Derp Vader: MEOW MEOW, MEEEEEEOOOW!
IMP Officer: (Oh Dear he will DESTROY US ALL!) Yes... Vader...? @_@
Derp Vader: Meow Meowmeow meow MEROAR!
(Takes helmet off)
Derpy Vader: Sorryz my helmet voice box IS a littile Broken hehe. I wanted the lemon twist surprise muffin behind that oficer over by that tech. Dont worry I will get it myself XD.
IMP Officer: Oh you just wanted a muffin? ha ha haha @_@
(The Imp tech lifts into the air while screaming, a loud crunching sound is heard., the crew is terrified agian)
Derp Vader: Sorryz, I DON'T KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG?!
(Derp Vader walks over to the muffin and devours it, crumbs flying everwhere.)
Derp Vader: NUM NUM NUM NUM NUM XD

Yeah I gave the show a second chance and watched the siege it just confirmed my original opinion it's a show for very young kids and there's nothing there for me.
Watching Vader take out those rebels just makes the rest of the empire look so utterly pathetic there's no way you can consider them a viable threat to anyone let alone an entire galaxy.
If it makes any diffrence it says in a book that the IMP NAVAL Pilots have lost their edge because of lack of fighting. Same is more than likely true for Army and Stormy forces. If you want a refrence I will send it to you in a PM. As it is though I dont enjoy watching these Squadrons, Wings, Battalions from these stories, more so because I / we know there more elite / ready IMP forces out their like, Alpha Squadron, 181st, 128th, Avenger Squadron, 501st, and everyone who is part of Death Squadron & DS2.

It's funny you say that. My 10 yr old son told me he likes the episodes with the politics in it better than some of the war episodes. He's a smart kid and I think he likes to see how things work. I also think he likes how Palpatine gets thwarted by brains instead of with weapons. We have criticized some of the methods Amidala uses in her political arguments. Instead of winning "hearts and minds" against the banking clan proposal, she should just mention that 25% interest rate hike and leave it at that. I explained to him what interest rates were and he was agog at that rate.

Well, maybe in a prequel or something, but certainly not one of the holy trilogy.
The original trilogy is so dark it's littered with the corpses of main characters. Like 'old mentor cliche' who never always dies in epic tales, they certainly wouldn't use that same cliche TWICE. Or 'heroes surrogate parents cliche' who never die to motivate hero to go explore the world. Don't forget 'childhood friend cliche' who almost never dies in any climactic battle so our hero can feel loss.

Then you have a bad son and it's probably your fault.
Exactly! He's so much better at killing main characters in the movies. There isn't a single time he murders an entire squad of x-wings single handedly and then inexplicably can't hit a main character in a ship moving in a straight line for an unbelievably extended period of time only to be stopped from killing him at the last moment when some imperial "ace" does the most boneheaded maneuver possible and crashes into his ship. Never happens.Decided to give Rebels a final chance. "Siege of Lothal" or smth.

The later guy was making a joke about how Vader's performance was typical of what he does in the films.
Strong in our fandom, selective memory is. Yeas. < >
Funny story actually. Taking with some nerd friends of mine and they being Trekies had some interesting insights in to the Star Wars crowd. As they put it, and I do quote "the problem with Star Wars fans is that they love the idea and forgot over time what really was in those movies, focusing on parts selectively. At their core Star Wars fans actually hate Star Wars, but love their memories of it. Trek fans just casually dislike or strongly disapprove of certain sequel series, which is a different problem all together." It was quite the interesting conversation.
Edited by ForceSensitiveI wouldn't classify that as a problem, it simply shows an ability to cut out the bad parts that requires a better understanding of the involved content than mudtrekkers can usually manage~
