Index of useful links

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

in the Game rules section (while its not 'official') i think it would help to put the topic of Omega Leaders ability under this link ( https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/196425-quick-psa-regarding-omega-leaders-ability/ ) somewhere in there just to have it indexed in case it gets lost in the mist

I did one better: as of last night I added a link to the collected Developer Rulings since v4.0 posted on reddit, which includes all rulings not in the FAQ, including Omega Leader.

Bah. Scratch it all. It's working fine in other browsers. **** Safari… didn't do this to me before...

I was having issues with their website earlier today. It could be on their end.

I actually figured out it was with my browser. Firefox worked, but also when I updated my OS to El Capitan (from Lion) it works in Safari again. So.... mission accomplished?

While clearly a hefty effort is there any plan on updating the 'recommended lists for new players'? Wave 7, 8, and imperial veterans have almost assuredly affected many of them. Atc is no longer unreleased, palp aces of some variety should likely be included, and defenders likely need no house rule other than the upcoming titles.

Thanks for the extra effort that has taken the list this far though!

Yup. I'm finishing MathWing 3.0 first.

Any chance of getting xwingtactics.tumblr.com added to the list? We have over 200 followers now and 120+ likes on FB.

Edit: Thank you for the add, could you put "competitive x-wing strategy blog" after the live clickable link?

Or better yet, just mirror the entry for my buddy Mikael's blog and have "X-Wing Tactics" as the active link to the blog and by [my ffg username] afterwards. Thank you!

I am getting a page cannot be displayed on all links (the ones I tested at least). Could be an FFG site issue. Anyone else getting that?

Looks like FFG's site is down altogether...but the forums are still up. Must be hosted on a different server.

I found a squad builder. http://xwing-builder.co.uk/build#

Yep. It's the first one on the list under the Squad Builders header -- voidestate's.

Ah must have missed it. There is an android app for it as well.

Not sure if you were aware, but the first link there isn't working. The other two seem to work fine (the direct link and install instructions).

Thanks

The link to the "Battle Plans" article by Paul Heaver is no longer working.

Here is a web based ai for solo play.

I like This point based charts.

Squadron Benchmark is a web app for building, playing (solo or against AI) and testing squads. It is a squad simulator, and has an integrated X-Wing Squad builder. No installation needed, no registration, it runs in any recent browser. The app handles all rules and abilities, you can test your squad in less than 10".

You can save your squads in your browser, share and replay your combats and see how other players play your squad with battle logs.

Feel free to add it to the list !

If you think it is useful, I have made a quick how-to guide on how to make a tournament tray and template holder using an old board-game board and It can be found here .

This is a really quick and easy way to fly some X-Wing! Thanks for the link!

Do you by any chance know how to fire Proton Rockets in the game?

I can't seem to figure it out for the life of me!

Thanks ! For the Proton rockets (several ready to play squads have it), just select a focus action (an eye), and you also have to be at range 1 of an enemy. You can click on the red 5 and it shows the range of the weapon.

You then have a missile icon appearing for the attack, it's the proton rockets ! On the following picture, a Green squadron pilot is about to fire its rockets on an enemy Tycho. missile.png

Cheers !

Awesome, thanks!
