I am just not find of garven. Feels like not worth the points. Would rather have a rookie and r2d2

I've started a lot of my lists recently with Dutch+Ion turret and Garven for 54 points.

they've done well with 2 blue squadrons (and a variety of upgrades)

they weren't great with biggs and an awing (awing running chardaan refit, veteran instincts and ptl)

they were ok with biggs and a rookie.

putting dutch into the list with an ion cannon loses you punch. even without the cannon, dutch still only has 2 attack dice. obviously a blaster turret is out of the question so the other ships need to have 3 dice, unless you're running 3 ships with big hitters like coran and wedge.

I've enjoyed putting Garven in charge of an XXXX list of mid-level pilots:

• Garven
• Biggs + R5-P9
• Tarn
• Red Squadron

Keep Garven close to Biggs, so that Biggs has a greater chance of having spare Focus tokens.

Airen buffs Garven to make garven shoot first and give focus to Biggs, Airen gives Biggs another focus while Biggs itself has taken Droid action.

Tarn is there to be tough to kill after Biggs goes down

For 150 points, you have 50 points left to throw in 1-2 ships
