Yeah sorry if I wasn't being clear. Thing is I don't know how I can be more specific The thickness of the paint obviously varies from color to color (I use Vallejo btw), but even if I use a rather fluid color (let alone an ink), it's enough to cover some of the details when I go back later on with a brighter shade to highlight the edge of -say- a belt or a chainmail plate. Did you actually say that sometimes one layer may be enough? Judging by your paintings you have different tones for almost every surface? or did you cheat somehow since the result looks great in the end?

Going to post a picture with one of each of the models I've painted so far (I've obv. painted all the monsters in these groups). How the hell do you do that? It says upload to your gallery but I cannot find any gallery tab anywhere...

As I said I'm painting these alot faster than I usually do so yes in a way I did cheat lol because I'm using alot of inks/washes and drybrushing for fast results but still look good enough to play with (none are show pieces though). I do pass a bit more time on the heroes though.

I dont actually upload the pics I use the button to add an image and then give it the URL from the facebook page I upload them to, no idea about how to upload to a gallery though (didnt even know we had one lol).

Just received the 60 monsters from 1st edition, was almost ready from everything from 2nd edition and now I have a sea of tan and red ugh! Will start painting again tomorrow, it's a rainy day today perfect for a day of playing

About the 1ed minis, I was tempted to get them too but 1- it was tricky to find sellers (people would rather sell everything BUT the minis) 2- from the few quotes I got it was **** expensive 3- the monster packs will replace them anyways. But yeah lucky you if you got them

That fire on the fire imps looks great, I've been delaying painting them cause I hate all the work to do the flames lol

Drybrush from dark red all the way to light yellow. Took me no time! I wanted some contrast between the flames and the imps so I did them in the opposite color. I did the non-master imps in the base color with a wash. Not sure it was a good idea to zoom in that much though, lol:

I've got a set of 1st edition monsters which I was going to paint last year when I got them (had even primed them) but now with all the monster packs that have been released )and yet to be released) I don't think it's worth the hassle, most of them have updated models anyways. So put those away and now I'm waiting for the new ones to arrive in the mail can't wait hehe.

Still have a few unpainted models to do until the new stuff arrives and started with Serena, also painting Bol'Goreth who should be ready tomorrow.

Thanks! Won't know if you can or cannot if you don't try and I'm sure you can, everybody starts somewhere, I'm not a great painter but I really enjoy playing the game a lot more with painted models to go with the great artwork of the tiles and cards.

And here's the last model for now, still hoping for mail to arrive today with more Descent goodies. I'll post a picture of all the models painted (Base set till Trollfens) soon.

Here it is, the complete base set, Lair of the Wyrm, Labyrinth of Ruin, The Trollfens and all their Lieutenant models. Just received Nerekhall and Guardians of Deephall so they arrived just in time (everything else missing is on it's way, hopefully will have everything by end of next week), will start on the heroes from Nerekhall tomorrow.

Thanks I did the same when I got Descent, started with goblins and stuff like that before I did the heroes.

Think I'll keep mine Anyways seems after I receive all of the models I'm missing I'm going to have to paint as much as I already painted in total, so in the end should have double this amount painted! (whenever that happens)
