Even more Custom YT-1300's

By ZombieHedgehog, in X-Wing

Sounds like we are getting there....

So based on feedback (and sorry to ZombieHedgehog for somewhat hijacking his thread) here is the unique pilot card for the YT-1300 conversion (based on the Oo-ta Goo-Ta).

She uses the 360 arc and a standard YT-1300 movement dial.

My preferred config would be

WhiteStar (36)

Gunner (5)

Recon Specialist (3)

Adrenaline Rush (1)

How about doing a card up for Chordak (the actual pilot of the Oota Goota)? I'd say maybe a PS of 6-7, EPT..

That is pretty much how I thought this one out. It would be easy to alter the card to read Oo-ta Goo-ta and Chordak

I have a friend who recently got married, who would absolutely love some cutsom minis. Where would I go to purchase a few?

Absolutely brilliant work.. Wow.

Bit of a delay, just been really busy at the moment, found some time to get some works done on the side pod and on the rear of the ship:

Hopefully this looks similar to cockpit windows on the falcon and tie fight, will finish off with green stuff to fill the gaps.

I think the engines look a little wonky due to the angle of the photo, I will take another photo overhead and make sure they're all straight. Thus should be the base for the engines, once I finish the detail I will work on the last engine at the bottom, think it will be easier to work on separately once the others have been finished. It's good to see the overall shape of the ship coming together.

Great update. Really beginning to take form now. Absolutely awesome.

Very nice work done! Can't wait to see it finished!

I like that you see the shape of the ship now, I'll be cutting more tubing to go round the tubing I have out in place to get the look of the oota Goota engines.

I'm hoping to make some more progress soon, it may be Monday/Tuesday evening now before I manage to post photos of more progress.

No worries, looking great so far :-)

Just a quick update, a few pictures if rough progress, getting the shape of the engines together. I will file the edges of the engines once the glue has properly dried then will green stuff the gaps so I can get on with the detailing:

Hoping if I can get the time I should be able to complete the ship by the end of the week.

Outstanding work, sir.

Absolutely brilliant. I am going to be the proud owner of a truly stunning ship.

Looking amazing! I am totally jealous now...

Managed to make some more progress, I have started the detailing on the engines, this could take a while! I've somehow forgot how long it takes cutting small pieces of plasticard.

See, everybody--sometimes a little OCD is a good thing...

This just keeps getting better and better...

. . . And thus a lot of OCD is a great thing.

What IS green stuff? I can't find it in the stores.

Green stuff is like Yellow and Blue plastercine. When mixed together you get green. :P It then hardens over time. So mix it like plastercince and shape it to what ever you want. Sand bags, cloaks, guns, Tyranid heads. Imagination is endless.

GW carries it. I seen a few other FLGS carry it to, but not GW brand.

Company called squadron shop makes a 'green stuff' as well.. dont remember if it is 2 part like above, or a tube of green putty.. but it is out there...

I've used the milliput and it works well, I also have the squadron white putty, it is good also..

There's also a 'brown stuff' variant of the two-part epoxy putty. While green stuff dries semi-flexible, brown stuff is harder and can be sanded/carved when cured.

Gale Force Nine puts out both at much more reasonable prices than GW.
