Compiled Resources List

By Nate, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I already posted this in a separate thread before I saw this one (why isn't this pinned??), but here is a link to a customizable crawl maker.

IMO it's better than the official as it plays the entire theme song and the text moves slower.

Enjoy!

Has anyone got easy fillable talent trees? To keep track of your spent XP and stuff?

Wow! This is very cool! I snagged the code and customized one for my current group's next session. On Saturday we just finished up "The Long Arm of the Hutt", so the crawl takes into consideration where they are now. If you want to have a look at it, I've uploaded it here;

Cheers!

Also, I found a great name generator that gives species- and gender-specific names.

I'm not great with names so this helped me immensely.

Great list. One thing I noticed (this may have been brought up already) is that the Basic Force Powers in the following Talent Tree list are at Cost 0 instead of Cost 10.

The separate docs that are specifically on Force Talents are okay.

Does anyone know what happened to the NPC stat tracker that was here? It had 4 areas, 2 for rivals/henchmen and 2 for minions. There are a couple here but the white/blue one was great - I have two printed off but they're getting pretty worn out.

This one is ok, but the one I saw before was blue and had little circles for strain and wounds, it was set up so you could just X out the bubbles as you dealt damage or as they gained skills. It was awesome for creating NPCs and enemies on the fly, but the dropbox link isn't around anymore and it's the ONE sheet I hadn't saved or backed up anywhere.

I can take a pic once I get home and upload it, maybe someone smarter than me saved it. Thanks though!

I just made a sheet that details the examples for spending successes, advantages, triumph, etc for the various skill checks.

Did you add this to something else? The link isn't working.

Oooops. One of the guys in the group made a folder for us to put our characters and stuff in so I moved (instead of copied) them to that folder. Should work now

I'll be bumping this thread again.

Not sure if this counts but here is a list of potential one-shots created by Cheapy the Hutt in his thread - "Odd Jobs - A List of Potential One-Shots"

This is awesome, and extremely useful. Would it be to much to ask if you could play with the margins and font sizes slightly, to squeeze Vigilance onto the 5th page?

Also, how are you using the dice images in the text? Is there a custom font with them in?

I can try later. I did it fairly quickly and if I made the margins any smaller I was punching out text when I used my 3 hole punch to put it in my binder.

Yes, there is a custom font (think I found it earlier in this thread)

I like the layout of this NPC stat tracker really well, but not the arrangement of the characteristics and defense stats. To make it match the CRB, I've spent about 2 hours on InDesign to make both an A4 and Letter sized version of this, also adding in 30 Wound and 30 Strain bubbles, as archon007 suggested. I tried putting in 40 bubbles (for the Rancor), but it just looked too cramped, so in the event you want to use one of these for a Rancor, I would suggest simply filling in all 30 wound boxes, then using the last 10 of the strain for the remainder (since a Rancor's strain threshold is only 15).

Not sure if the solution is elegant enough for everyone, but it's good enough for me. Enjoy!

I've gone through this thread and couldn't find the custom font... Will look again. I use plastic folders in a binder to hold all my paper stuff, so narrow margins clashing with punched holes isn't an issue for me.

If you're happy to share the pre-PDF file with me, I'd be happy enough to play with margins on my own, and share the resulting PDF back here.

I sent the original word document and the custom font via links in a private message

Thanks, IceBear. Here are the resulting files - one in Letter (for the North Americans), and one in A4 (for the rest of the world):

Bump.

I've added the NPC cards from 9littlebees.

OP should really make use the the spoiler tags to hide stuff in each section, so if someone is interested in that thing they can click to expand it, instead of scrolling down the equivalent of 3 pages

Beautiful. Well, more functional than beautiful, but great job 9littlebees.

Cool, thanks for the addition.

In response to this post over at Google+, I've actually worked on a new version of these NPC Cards, which attempts to make the Characteristic + Skill easier to read, making the interpretation of the dice pool a lot easier for the GM. There's also a lot less white space, making them far more efficient in terms of writing space.

What do people think of this new design?
