Compiled Resources List

Hello there. Not really sure where to ask this but this seems like the best place to start. Do any of you guys know if there is a good d20 rule system for eote? My friends and I are interested but the offical dice system seems a little to complicated to all of us. If anybody knows of an officially supported or fan made d20 system we would greatly appreciate it.

For this I would say: Learn the dice system!

It is easier, better and more fun than any d20 system I have ever encountered. I would especially recommend picking up the Beginner Box Set and playing through the adventure there, it should just take 2 hours, and everyone will learn the dice system underway with no preperation time before playing (no need to read rules before playing).

Dude (or dudette, or what have you), there is literally an entire d20 system with a bunch of sourcebooks and years of fan support. I'm a little flabbergasted that you don't know this or didn't know how to look it up, but I'll give you the benefit of a doubt (and not run on the assumption that everyone knows as much about RPGs as myself) Just google starwars roleplaying d20 and you'll probably find a lot of good deals on eBay and so on.

Also, as the other person said, you really owe it to yourself and your group to try out the system. It's not difficult to learn at all and the dice are very intuitive and fun to roll. EotE also has a pretty complex set of rules that allow you to do a lot of customization of your characters mechanically.

Just another request to please add my character generator and GM Tools to the list. The links are in my signature at the bottom. Thanks!

Your character generator and gm tools are simply the most amazing resource I've ever come across. Lots of care went into those for sure. Very well done mate. Thank you!

Give it a go as written for one session and I'm willing to bet you're converted. The beginner box does a good job as a "tutorial" adventure.

The system doesn't cross to d20 very well - the level system generates a significant disparity in power that EotE seems to go out of its way to avoid.

So, sitting here, prepping for The long arm of the hutt. I am wondering if anybody has made a compilation of NPCs. Item, Vehicles and have shared it?

May the Forth be with you! ;)

So, what happened to the Alien Species Menagerie 3? Can't find a link to it anywhere. The one given just goes to the blogsite but there's nothing there!

The link you follow there goes to the GSA blog post, which contains the link to the download site (you've gotta follow 3 links before you get the download). There are two options, low-res (7MB) or high-res (17MB).

Oh. THERE it is! Palpi's palpitations, just finding that thing is an adventure in itself. sheesh.

Thanks for the assist. I would never in a million years managed to find that on my own. I am, I admit, Techno-Feeble.

sigh.

Yes, I have an index of everything here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing

It only has basic stats for the NPCs, and I gloss over the starship weaponry details. But it has the page references for each entry so you get a good gist of the item your looking at then can look up the details in the book.

I'm only doing weapons so far, but my list is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bx-CJvBGNp9Lib20uEkH_q8z-E2BEM7Q-vy3ripW1ps/edit?usp=sharing

I'd be more than happy to combine our efforts, if you like.

I see that this comprehensive index has moved to http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/ and this is a huge improvement over the Google Docs version. Congratulations!

However, I'm seeing a number of errors and other issues that I'd be happy to help you fix. Just let me know if you're interested.

I haven't updated it in quite some time, but the v3 of my character sheet is not the most recent. I've made a v4 with additional talent slots, some modifications and a "high contrast" version that is easier to read for some people and can be printed without wasting all your ink

If your groups are anything like my groups for roleplaying, then character creation takes a while and you usually only have one copy of the rulebook to go around. Because of this, I put together what became a 19 page pdf file that outlines character creation in specific enough detail that someone who has never played the game could make a character. In fact, the first time we played, I emailed this to the group and everyone came with characters made without having ever even seen the book.

The document is a combination of my paraphrasing the CRB and directly quoting it. I am posting the link here for anyone who wants to make use of it.

The document also points people to the Talent Trees document provided courtesty of beggingforxp.com. And it would be helpful to have a character sheet such as Caied's Form-fillable PDF Character Sheet .

I hope this is helpful to you guys, and feel free to offer feedback on it.

**The link for this was down, but it is now updated and works again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Note: in the Character Generation PDF linked in the above post, I made a mistake that has been corrected. Other mistakes will be corrected as they are caught. This mistake came at the end for gear and equipment. I forgot to include that after you are done purchasing all your items, you get to roll d100 and whatever you roll, you get that many credits as pocket change- but it can't be used for initial purchases at character creation. The link has been updated with the corrected file.

Hello folks!

Some links are down for the adventures "Bendu's Shadow/Stalitz Flight" (the 1st one) and "Echoes of the Past" (the two with the maps).

Can someone help me out and point me to working links? Thank you.
