By thefoehammer, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

Avatars are still there. And its been up for pre-order on miniaturemarket.com for a while now. We're almost there.

The teasing is becoming unbearable.

Amazon is less than reliable when it comes to release dates for stuff. I am going to wait for FFG to say its on sale.

Thanks for the amazon link. Shame it isn't discounted like amazon.ca, etc. Oh well.

How long does it take for a game to get to stores after it gets off of the boat? the 15th is getting ever closer, but the status remains the same. Hope we don't miss the 15th, but my doubts grow.

Supposed to be about a week.

I think at the upcoming products page says that it needs 7-10 days for US or a few more days for Canada.

I don't know how You but I'm excited. The release date is very close now. Can't wait.

In my experience with things like books and movies, Amazon's listed release date is the date that A) You could buy the item in a brick and mortar and B) Amazon tries to get it shipped to you by, as long as you paid for shipping.

Is it different for games? I definitely saw the Amazon date and on thought "Great, it will be in stores that day!"

The french website lists a world release date of April 18th

I think the best is to wait from ffg to give us the final release date cause i see so many different dates from pages on internet.I am sure that next week we will have news about release date.

We now have a release date

" Look for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game in stores in just two weeks , then plan on making your journey to Rhosgobel this summer! "

Over the past eight months, the torture of waiting has beaten me down. I am now reforged into a new creature, I am the MASTER OF PATIENCE. Two weeks is but a moment...

If you go to the French or Spanish Edge site ( http://www.edgeent.com/v2_fr/ ) they have a big page saying "Worldwide Release - April 18th" right up front. It's good to see they're giving this the appropriate hype it deserves!

April 18th i think is monday.First day of the week is a strange day for a release date but who cares ?

So, here's a probably dumb question, but when the little "on the boat" icon changes to "shipping now." Can I run down the street at get it from the Roseville store? Or do I have to break into the warehouse? (Yes, I know I lucked out in that I fell in love with the idea of this game months before I realized how close I was to ffg headquarters...)

Shipping now is when it is moving from FFG to distributors, stores etc. So best to wait, I usually just call my store to see when his order is arriving. But since you leave so close to the proverbial horses mouth might want to call them. They would have it for sure on the release date as they would want to release there at the same time as all of the other stores being able to officially release it. So you are lucky in that you are guaranteed to have it on time.

If it's true, i'll get the game and all adventure packs, isolate myselft in a dark playing room with candles and LotR music and play cards until my hands grow sore.

if you limit youself to 1-2 spheres per deck, that gives you a total of 112 different three hero combinations. multiply that by three different quests. Plus there is easy mode, hard mode And Nightmare mode. If you get tired of all of those, you can try a three sphere deck Or even a four sphere deck! I'm going to have to quit my job and give up sleep!
