Coming back after like a year

So I don't have all the new cards

But what do y'all think of something like this?

New Squadron

(65) Krassis Trelix [Firespray-class Patrol Craft]

(6) Concussion Missiles

(6) Slave I

(41) Zealous Recruit [Fang Fighter]

Probably swap concussion for ion cannon. Fangs like be be really close and zealous recruits are great blockers, but concussion missiles could effect them if they do take damage. And ion control is super nice. Also at i3 you 'might' not use slave 1 much so I think you could get andrasta and a cheap bomb in there. Or other nice upgrades.

So more like this then?

(65) Krassis Trelix [Firespray-class Patrol Craft]

(6) Ion Cannon

(3) Seismic Charges

(2) Andrasta

I'll be completely honest: Krassis ability is pretty ****. There's little reason to give him a cannon unless you buddy him up with IG-88B, and give him the IG-88D crew. The only real reason to play him is that he's the cheapest firespray with a talent slot. I'd give him thread tracers, fearless, and proximity mines. At least the thread tracers can be used to give the fangs locks as a support ability.

The only thing thats been said that I'm not keen on, is Concs with Recruits. Conflict of interest.

Krassis has finally actually pinged on my radar with the new Slave 1 title. The title sits nicely with Autoblasters, providing cheap means to another crit mod in BT-1/Greedo. And he can take Marksmanship.

He's got a good chance of putting 2 unblockable crits into anything not looking at him at R1-2, in a chassis built to handle attention.

With a bomb too, they maybe want to turn away from his rear arc, opening up his ability.

Might not be a good idea to put all of that on him. The crit threat and Greedo will draw fire, he'll go down fairly fast as an obvious target. But I think it might be decent.

He can go joust a flanking force, or run from a jousting force effectively, giving the 3 Recruits some leeway on their own approach. I like it.

The 3 Recruits are real solid, but there are match ups they struggle with.

So Slave 1 CIS, Autoblasters, Greedo, Proton Bomb would fit. Marksmanship/BT-1 possibly not worth it. Greedo could be a mistake if you get him in trouble.

Likely you don't/won't have all these cards, but playing digitally, that wouldn't matter. Playing in person would depend, but I've never known it to matter casually.

I definitely don't have the auto blaster cards yet. Think I got all the rest

I don't think the autoblasters work in the rear arc 'completely' as the rear arc can't have a bullseye. But I think the rest works if you catch someone out of arc and in your rear view.

Still I like the ion cannon for Krassis as once someone is ionized it's easier to punish them with the zealous recruits.

That'd be what I'd run, and add thread tracers if you can get the card, so you can have lots of options. But might even go ion bombs just to keep opponents behind you or in bad positions. Or drop the bombs all together and have contraband and elusive. That's always a winning combo for getting into a good position and staying alive.

Wouldn't need andrasta if I went that route would I?

Andrasta is nice for having an extra bomb slot AND you can reload the bombs to keep doing it. Especially if you're not in a good spot for a shot. But it's not necessary at all if you go the no bombs route.

True, you'll never get the extra dice out the back.

My vote:

The bumps will just naturally happen. Do what you will with the 5 points.

Kath Scarlet

:sad noises:

Zam crew looks like an interesting addition. Timing the bump with the double tap seems an incredibly long shot, but Kath is all about attempting something improbable when you could just do something simple instead.

I am just not happy with this one

Been working on my rebel stuff and I feel like it's just a much better list

This is what I WAS running. Maybe I should look at it again

Well there's always swapping in Torkil Mux. Or side-grading the kihraxzes to a pair of zealous recruits and sunny bounder with autoblasters. There's room for Predator for Old T too.

Old Teroch (56)
Predator (2)

Got torkul. And a couple M3s. Don't have any autoblaster cards 😕

Pick up Hotshots and Aces expansion. Lots of useful stuff in there, including a pair of autoblasters.

I like this. I'd definitely put Fearless on Old T though. Better than a bid.

Fearless over predator?

Old T's ability requires him to be in the enemy's front arc, as does Fearless, so it's a good match for him. Predator allows you to arc dodge and get a reroll, but that means his ability is not in effect.

Yeah, this. Bang in front of whoever he wants to shoot at is his best position. Fearless will have a strong chance of giving him 3 hits, leaving focus and Concord for defense, which will often be 3 evades. The enemy has no green tokens, so it's almost always a very positive, low risk trade.

Predator also requires bullseye and it's quite often best to engage on an angle to open more dial options next turn. If he doesn't kill what he jousts and they're happy to k turn, he can be stuck at R2 for the follow up, which is super risky.

He is an I5 ace ofc, so if points are really tight, or you don't need to rely heavily on his maximum impact, (or you're playing HS), out of arc attacks with Predator are still a good choice for a different, more archetypal approach.

But 1pt more for the mileage he can get from Fearless is a bargain.

If you really want to be annoying, you might look at this:

Krassis Trelix - Firespray-class Patrol Craft [65]
Ion cannon [6]
4-Lom [2]
Conner Nets [3]
Total [76]

Zealous Recruit [41]
Total [41]

Zealous Recruit [41]
Total [41]

Zealous Recruit [41]
Total [41]

Build total [199]

I've not used Krassis, but I've used multiple Fangs.

I also know the effects of a ship being ioned.

So I'm thinking with Krassis having both an ion cannon and a Conner net (and 4-Lom) that he could be fairly effective at delivering an ion token or three.

Therefore... it seems like the above might be pretty good.

We've got an Extended tournament coming up the day after Christmas, so if I don't run Guri I might have to try this one.

:D

Been thinking. In this style of list,vi could do something like this ...

New Squadron

(86) Boba Fett [Firespray-class Patrol Craft]

(2) Ion Missiles

Points: 88

(37) Cartel Marauder [Kihraxz Fighter]

I dunno man. It's a decent amount of beef, but not much more than that. Boba grows tremendously with upgrades, without them, outbid by other I5s, he's just a Firespray everywhere other than R1. If you wanted one with 3 Marauders, I'd downgrade to another pilot and throw some toys in.

You can drop to a Bounty Hunter and fit a lot in. PerCo, a bomb, CC on all the Marauders....

Or Koshka with 0-0-0, Rigged Cargo and shield.

It'd give you a lot more options in your play and can be built to handle more variable match ups.
