Same team man. I am not a very experienced Resistance player but I do mess with the faction from time to time. Probably will try one of these at least once. Remember Finn is now hyper legal :)

  • Poe Dameron + R4 Astromech + Integrated S-Foils + Proton Torpedoes
    L'ulo L'ampar + Proton Rockets
    Zizi Tlo + Proton Rockets
    Rose Tico + PZ-4CO
  • Lieutenant Bastian + Integrated S-Foils
    Nimi Chireen + Integrated S-Foils
    Joph Seastriker + Integrated S-Foils
    Rose Tico
    Finn
  • Poe Dameron + R4 Astromech + Integrated S-Foils
    L'ulo L'ampar
    Zizi Tlo
    Rose Tico
Colossus Station Mechanic + Deadman's Switch

Poe plus three i5 prockets is dope.

Yep, hyperspace is great if you like 5+ ship lists and generics

For scum that was last hyperspace season, now it's pushed back towards named pilots. No generic fangs, no autoblasters for the scyks, and tractor beam got price hiked. If we see scum swarms it's probably going to be marg sabl TIEs and naked/tractor/tracer/ordnance scyks. (IE: You can fit 4 scyks, 1 with tractor beam, or 2 with tracers, and 4 marg sabl MTGs for 200 points, or drop 1 ship to fit a little ordnance).

Also no Boba. Though I guess Bounty Hunter /w Zam + Fenn + Old T is available.

Zam is also the only action economy crew available to scum, and needs time to charge up, and also depends on enemy targeting.

Feels like there could be variants of that in each faction which is neat.

They will call one of them Pod Tracers.

I haven't flown it...but the sad thing is that 7 focused barons expect about 1.5 damage against a fe+palp defender, with about a 1 in 3 chance of doing no damage at all.

Defenders are such a gatekeeper...

you could do 7 barons with 2 tracers or this:

New Squadron

(28) Baron of the Empire [TIE Advanced v1]
(2) XX-23 S-Thread Tracers
(1) Ruthless
Points: 31

(28) Baron of the Empire [TIE Advanced v1]

It's not for everyone. It's barely any shelter from a hurricane. It's a place to party.

On the tracer front, I had found this quirky gem. Plenty of ways to keep those targeting computers primed. Don't know if it will be any good though. It will be pretty tough though.

Fort Hyperspace ain't fallen yet. But it's always had the resort in the backyard. It's funny the doom saying that's going on around the new HS though. It's been revealed for only like two days, has more options available than any other HS we've had right after rotation, and there's some folk that are going straight chicken little about it. I just find that really funny is all. It's a really complex puzzle this time and it's going to be really fun to work in.

And I'm really interested that I'm finding myself really intrigued to see what shakes out. It's become for at least this season the one format I want to follow with great interest because I think so many interesting plays are doing to come out of it.

Cool! Something along those lines is precisely why I upped my V-Wing pre-order to four ships. I can see teaming a "finger four" up with various anchor ships and having fun.

I'm feeling you on the doom-saying over the new HS makeup. Personally—and this is just me—from my CCG days I really dislike the whole concept of a "meta." To me it seemed mainly to be a very few geniuses (or lucky folks) hitting upon combinations that dealt woe and destruction, and everyone else scrambling to copy them until that's all you'd see. I like far better the idea that those "staples" go away periodically and the "meta" is forced to keep experimenting and trying out new ideas.

As I see it, a list doesn't have to be the "best of the best," just enough to help you get past the next game, across from someone whose list is just as experimental as yours. Again, that's just my personal druthers, but that's what makes me not-sad. 😎 🍺

So five Tempest TIE/x1 with FCS plus 2 with Tracers just crossed my mind. There's 6 points to spare since Tracers are ** limited, and a 44 point ship could be brought also instead of one of the x1s. (Howlrunner, for example).

Alternately, 2x Inquisitors with Tracers, 3 Storm x1s with FCS...

XX-23 just seems to combo so nicely with Advanced Targeting Computer on the /x1.

Edited your list for you. ;)

I was going to post my own thread, but this one turned out to be exactly what I wanted. We have a HS Misery thread already; I'm delighted to see a positive thread here to talk about the neat stuff this new HS meta could allow and what excites us. Thus I'll post my 5 & 6 Init list here in case it's handy.

What interests me first is, they've swapped out a lot of the dominant aces, so now the ace game for many factions will feel very different. And of the high-init pilots left, not all are acey in playstyle, and those that are are sometimes funky in style (TIE/ba). I'm curious what that might do to the way HS plays. Has anyone started feeling that out that new meta? Might some init 4s see more action, or will existing 5s and 6s be enough to muscle them back into their traditional role? Are beef lists and swarms picking up, or are the new acey lists decent at preying on them? I really like the turnover potential of this new meta. As others have said, I have no idea how some factions are going to feel now and that's fantastic! Now those factions get to explore playstyles that are normally totally irrelevant in the meta and play them deliberately & effectively!

Again, the new 5 & 6 init list is particularly interesting to me just for the shifts it causes... To me it looks like there will be enough aces to keep the meta focused around inits 5 & 6 (no init 4 renaissance, most likely), but of the aces available to some factions, how they play may change a lot . Republic has no aethersprites, FO without quickdraw (TIE/ba will have to fill the cheap + effective ace role, and Kylo is still the premium option). Empire especially... they're actually a swarm faction in this meta, but with the occasional TIE ace to mix things up. Very curious!

Without further ado, here's the init 5 & 6 list in case it's handy to anyone for theory-crafting or generating ideas.

Rebs already had no real acey aces (T-65s try but don't move quite right), and that continues. They do have a few decent high-inits though. (I expect beef to be their thing)

  • B-Wing: Gina Moonsong
  • Y-Wing: Norra
  • YT: Lando, Han
  • T-65 : Thane, Luke
  • VCX: Hera

Empire's only high-inits are classic TIEs! That's fascinating! And Precision Ion Engine and Deadeye might give TIE swarms and the odd ace inclusion some interesting ideas... IMO the init 4 TIEs will also have some fun just because they're decent for what they do and they're not competing with the old standards anymore (vader & friends).

  • TIE/ln : Howlrunner, Scourge, Mauler

Scum DOES have aces, but NOT Boba thankfully. That will feel quite different.

  • YT: Han
  • Fang : Teroch and Fen
  • Jump: Dengar
  • M3A : Serissu

Resistance kept quite a few important aces:

  • A-Wing : Seftin, Taliassan, Zizi, Lulo
  • T-70 : Ello, Nien, Poe, and Poe Two Electric Boogaloo

FO has several solid aces but lost some old standards:

  • TIE/ba : Holo, Vonreg
  • TIE/fo : Midnight, Malarus
  • TIE Silencer : Blackout, Kyloooo
  • Xi: Malarus

Republic also kept a curious mix, importantly losing their dominant aethersprite choices in favor of Ric, ETA jedi, and maybe Y-Wing shenanigans?

  • Y-Wing : Anakin, Odd Ball
  • ETA-2 : Obi-Wan, Aayla, Anakin
  • Naboo : Ric Roll Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down, never gonna flee the field and-- desert you!
  • Torrent: Odd Ball

And finally, separatists kept their nantex aces and gained new ones with the firespray. But they also kept their vulture swarms which were pretty solid before being muscled aside by nantex swarms... so aside from nantex swarms being absent, perhaps they won't experience tectonic shifts and this will be more of a return to form? That is, unless those firespray pilots light some fires.

  • Firespray : Zam, Jango
  • Nantex : Sun Fac, Berwer

Edited by Wazat

Got a dumb TIE swarm list in mind too. Deadeye to push past defenses once evasive foes are damaged. PIEs for positional aces. Probably doomed to die against more correct swarms like vultures, but it's still entertaining to me and this is the meta to try something like this. Sadly no marksman seyn to feed the meme though.
