Not an exhaustive list. Just a beginning set of options that have caught my eye in no particular order. Looking forward to testing all kinds of different lists/archetypes across every faction over the next several months. So much changed its unrealistic to try and predict outcomes without testing. So for now just enjoying the confusion, the chaos, and the fresh air looking at alternatives without Boba or Vader around.

Below is not a list of "the good/best things" in Hyperspace. That will take much much longer to sort out. Its just an inventory of initial options that seem cool to me.

Every HS change there is the same outcry. I totally understand it, I have a good friend who just started Empire before Covid hit, he has asked wtf does he do now? He likes the aces archetype, is still learning the game so doesn’t have deep list build knowledge.
I like what you have done, there are options, people just have to find the options that suit them.

I don't know whats going on. I have to rethink all my lists and playstyles.

It's like watching an episode of Struggle Meals. All the things you would normally reach for in the pantry are gone, but there are other things left, and you have to make a meal from what you have on hand.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Honestly this will get me back to a local table faster than I would have been otherwise.

I do wonder why the only crutch left is Kylo. He seems like the only list-building staple that survived the great HS purge of 2020.

Struggle Meals is great. If you (the forum reader) haven't seen it, and you like food, you should look it up. I've made several of the things from the show and they turn out pretty well.

Fenn's pretty good too. Their regular partners in crime are gone so it's still a good :thonk:

I’m noticing this evening a good interaction between Latts and Zam crew. I don’t know if I’ve ever looks at Latts pilot before.

edit: uh... Dengar / Zam / protorps is mildly concerning. If you have space for False Transponder Codes, you can jam them for the revenge shot, too.

No Codes in HS. But Dengar Zam Torps is interesting. Curious to see how much weight Boba was carrying for Dengar, I feel like he's merely decent and costs too much when loaded up. He'll punch stuff out but needs a reliable endgame alongside him. Fenn and OT have strong endgame, for example, but it's not massively reliable.

Latts is really good btw. I do fear for her, and other large bases that aren't Init killing. I seem to be putting Prockets, Predator and/or 4+ big guns all over the place. She'll cope with aces and massed 2 die attacks alright, but many spikes can be painful.

Still, I remain hopeful at this point. So I'll still tout Lando as being a potentially good piece, he's just very cheap for a thick, orbital gun that can potentially be a double modded 3 die primary, with little fuss.

Scyks and Fangs remain the backbone of Scum, I think, but they have become more interesting. Generic Scyks are more control options than before, with no Blasters/HLC. Blocks, Ion, Tractor. You need enough 'other' in the list to capitalise. The names pretty much all offer value and can do a range of cool things.

Fangs got Old T and Joy. No more generics ofc, but those 2 offer a lot. Fenn is Fenn and Kad remains slightly overcosted, so options were limited. Joy is your cheaper I4 alternative, if you wanted 1 Skull. OT is a more flexible ace than Fenn. Both seem good new components that open up a lot of build options.

Elsewise, Bounty Hunters still exist. I'm not sure I do much with them myself, with no PerCo. They can fold a bit quickly without offering a lot, loaded otherwise. 1 may bring some upgrades that help a list. 2, run light, is possibly a bit flat and may want a big number 3.

If I had more Miners, strapping on some Marg Sabl and running big interference for the 'other' would attract my attention.

Tracer Scyk/Z-95 etc I feel will be best not heavily leaned on. I don't think a Scum list built around that will offer enough reliability in a) landing the Trace, and b) doing anything if it doesn't. At 2pt, with missile carriers all over the place, there's definitely room to fit them in as an element of something more though.

Plenty to play around with but, if our large bases struggle at all, the best lists will quickly start to look very familiar.

I think I agree with this. 8 hp never seems like enough for Vermeil.

Check again on Codes, they’re legal. I’d have to put this Dengar on the table to decide if he’s good, though. He gets very pricey for only having two good attacks and then reverting to a two die large base primary.

I have absolutely no idea how to make a Resistance list for hyperspace right now. I love it.

Poe deserves a shot now I think. Merle is a frickin steal. No Rey, no Cova, No Kaz for craying out loud. No T-70 generics. It's craziness.

In HS I feel like it’s under control due to the crew carrier options. I haven’t even considered extended, but there I wonder if it’s not eclipsed by Hondo crew.

Same team man. I am not a very experienced Resistance player but I do mess with the faction from time to time. Probably will try one of these at least once. Remember Finn is now hyper legal

Oh cool. Neither LBN nor the official app seem to be allowing them, but PDF trumps all.

Basically yes, that, with Dengar. I like the title, R5-P8 and Blasters over ProTorps and stuff for that very reason. But Zam obviously offers a whole new thing.

Personally I thought Resistance was the least affected. Some of the kit they use its not as good anymore, but most of the usual suspects for pilots are still hanging out. You still have all three i5 Z2's to work with. But I'm guessing right now that X-wing's for both factions are going to be strong.
