If so, Seems odd given id10 is a unit style card and not an upgrade card

ID10 becomes part of the unit so you can measure from any mini in the unit as usual, unless attacking as in that case you should measure from the unit leader, which is Iden.

That's how Counterpart cards work. I'd give the RRG entry a read through if I were you.
