Finished my core set figures!

The army theme was inspired by the general coolness of the fleet troopers, and a colour scheme I found from a battlefront thing.

Took a whole bunch of pictures, but due to upload limits, I can't really post them all. Got a cramped group shot though

Thanks. I received the airspeeder today actually, and is planning on a somewhat movie accurate paintjob. I think the reason my paint scheme will fit is because the AT-RT theme was heavily inspired by the airspeeder in the first place

Highly recommend Mel's Miniatures from Shapeways! Got some Empire fleet trooper heads to convert a fleet trooper unit to Empiricals. They also make Rebel riders for speedbikes! But, it ain't cheap... 💲

The heads I bought from Mel for my regular troopers have been great, but yeah, cost is an issue. I do plan on buying some alien heads for a third trooper squad, but that'll have to wait for now 🙂

Rebel specialists done*! I tried getting the look of the officers from RotJ, as the clothes seemed to match their longer tunics.

*The R5 is still in progress, getting paint stripped again. This time, I think I have the right paintjob in mind...

I like the soft light colours you use. Makes hem look very crisp. Well done!

R5 astromech done! The freehand turned out a bit wobbly, especially on the front, but overall, I'm pleased.

Working on the airspeeder currently

Wow, this thing took way too long to paint, considering how much free time I've had on my hands.

Pleased with the results though, especially the squadron markings 🙂

Next up, 1.4 FD laser cannon, with trooper crew

Dish turret done. The crew proved trickier than expected to convert, but it was a lot of fun to paint

I’m going to be taking inspiration from Kota’s militia. I’ll be using the normal trooper bodies, shapeways fleet helmets and throwing on some pauldrons and pouches.

Always felt my rebels from the original box felt like random soldiers (nothing wrong with that...I guess a lot of rebels were just that) and yours....look like proper rebels.

To me, the iconic rebel look was always those white helmets.

More troopers! I'm waiting on a shipment of alien heads before I can finish the other three (the seventh went to the dish turret)

I cut down the rifle on the unit leader to somewhat match the blaster Cassian uses. Can't have the guy running about with two rifles
