Jump Action Distance Start point and endpoint

By denkug, in Rules

Hello there!

So while playing a round of Legion we got to an argument.

How do I measure the jump distance exactly?

For example:

Luke wants to jump from height 0 to 1 on a platform. He's not in base contact to the platform. Do I measure the beeline from his base to where I wanna move (jump) and put him on the platform according to his movement speed/distance?

Or do I need to somehow calculate the diagonal and horizontal movement?

while jumping, it is like performing a normal move (distance wise) but you ignore effects of difficult terrain and may end up up the height of jump x.

so i guess the first one is correct

Measurements (range and move) are always taken flat from the top. You never take angles from hight difference into account.
