Not that I've been able to find. I'll work on typing them up for reference, if that would be appreciated.

well, I won't be seeing my book for another couple of hours, so I'd be very appreciative.. especially if you both begin your investigation before that :D

Will do. Would you also like a summary of the rules?

um, sure.. couldn't hurt.

Just found a list of rules from Redit, they list Investigations in Endless Vigil, which I happen to have with me.. I'm going to read through it and compare it with your notes, see if they are basically the same.. maybe use both depending on Force die, ect...

Ah, should have mentioned it. :)

Sounds good, I'm working on typing it up now...

Long and short of it:

The PCs have a big question (i.e. Where is Root with the orb) which is then broken down into smaller questions (where is Gala's ship, who was Gala's contact, etc.). You can then roll for the question using Streetwise or a Knowledge skill (or other skills at GM discretion, with Perception and social skills being common alternatives). Success provides a lead, not necessarily a direct answer, and difficulty is based on the obscurity of the answer.

Information Obscurity table:

Simple: Basic information that is required to operate within the field in question.
Easy: Standard information that is widely known in the field in question.
Average : Information that requires basic research or is common only to specialists within the field.
Hard: Moderately obscure information, requiring research or a dedicated specialist to discover.
Daunting: Obscure information, requiring significant research, even from a specialist.
Formidable: Rare information, which requires special permission to access or is kept secret by those who know it. In extreme cases, information of this rarity might involve one or more Difficulty dice upgraded to a Challenge die.

I'll type up the Advantage etc. table when I get the time.

Aleena should be of some use with investigating, as she adds her two Force dice to a number of social skills, and removes one Setback from Charm.

As for hidden weapons ... Barda is a weapon. Not a fully developed one yet, but good at Brawling - even if faced with a lightsabre. (Her rifle is only for long-distance problems, and to look dangerous without needing to crack skulls.)

Aleena has an energy bow from Dathomir; those bows are both silent and easily hidden. (Oddly, no stats were given for those two qualities in the weapon description.)

a or T
What's This?: In the course of the investigation, the character turns up leads on other useful information. Add a Boost to the next check the character makes to pursue information for the investigation.

aa or T
Valuable Insight: In the course of investigation, the character discovers a crucial detail that can serve them later. When making any one check later in the investigation, the character can explain how this detail assists her with the check to add a Boost to the check.

aaa or T
That's Convenient!: The character finds a source that provides information more easily than expected. If the source is an NPC, add Boost to all Charm and deception checks made to seek information. If the source is not a character, such as if the character encounters an object that serves as evidence, its nature is more readily apparent, adding a Boost to all Perception and Knowledge skill checks to determine how it fits in to the investigation.
Cases Converge: The character stumbles upon a source for additional information, which serves to answer questions beyond what she was immediately seeking. The character finds a source for one other question involved in the investigation. If the character is not currently investigating multiple questions, the GM should provide a source who can shed light on some hidden aspect of the situation at hand. If this option is selected on a successful check, the character may discover two different sources, or the lead may provide information on both questions at once.

t or D
Cold Trail: As the character pursues some of her leads, she must sacrifice the opportunity to follow others. Add a Setback to the next check the character makes to pursue information for the investigation.
Minor Interference: The character runs afoul of small-time troublemakers who have an interest in keeping her away from the information she seeks. She must deal with this opposition before continuing the investigation, through whatever means she finds appropriate. The opposition should consist of no more than a single minion group or rival NPC.

tt or D
Distracted: The character misses an important element of the investigation, a misstep that could cost her later on. When the character is making any one check later in the investigation, the Gm can explain how this detail interferes with the check to add a Setback to the character's dice pool.

ttt or D
Hostile Source: The PC finds a source that does not readily give up its secrets. If the source is an NPC, add 2 Setback to all Charm and Deception checks made to gatehr information from that source. If the source is not a character, but rather evidence, its nature is not readily apparent; add 2 Setback to all Perception and Knoweldge checks to determine how it fits into the investigation. This option is best used with a successful check.
Payback Looms: The character runs afoul of powerful foes who have their own interests in the investigation. They may be after the same information for their own ends, or they might be out to silence the source the character is after. As such, the character must stop the opposition before continuing the investigation, through whatever means she finds appropriate. The opposition could consist of several minion groups led by a rival, a nemesis NPC, or a group of rival NPCs. These foes could also be representatives of a greater power, one which might continue to keep an eye on the investigation after its agents are defeated.

@RuusMarev , @Bellona , what do they look like now? Are they just tattoo-less Dathomirians, or do they look Human, or what?

If they applied flesh tone, as long as they cover exposed skin, not made up, they should look pretty normal.. maybe exotic if there is an otherwise Dathomirian look.

if they used pale / white tone, they would be rather exotic compared to average humans.

either way, identifiable tattoos will be covered.. and probably water resistant..(lucky since this area of the planet is pretty dry.. Kind of a 'High desert" as you go towards the mountains, it has coniferous forests. )

@Bellona , do you have anything to add?

That out of the way... I'm ready to move on to the next step if you are. I left it open if you had anything you wanted to post IC, but I can go ahead and resolve the makeuping and have Sienna suggest a course of action. She's the only one with 3 Cunning, I believe, so I figured it stands to reason that in combination with her high Intellect she might be the first one to come up with a plan.

Legends Dathomiri = humans (like Aleena and Barda)

Newer version(s) Dathomiri = human and human/zabrak hybrids (possibly including non-human skin colours?)

One example in one of the newer canons is Asajj Ventress. I always thought that she was from Rattatak, but some versions of her story have her hail originally from Dathomir.

Tattoos seem to be either a Nightsister thing or a Sith thing, depending upon whom and when.

Yep, I'm ready to screenwipe to the landing, arranging repairs (is Barda the the only one with Mechanics, aside from possibly Crash?), and starting the investigation.

In this case they are pretty much like Asajj Ventress. They featured fairly heavily in Clone Wars.

Sienna and Cadena are fairly similar to the picture of a Dathomirian in CotR as far as skin tone, hair color, and tattoos go.

Which is why I stressed that bit about Nightsister bloodlines and family traditions as opposed to other bloodlines in the IC posts. Making space for both Legends and nuCanon in the game.

Well, depends when "Nu-Canon" starts, as this was before Disney. At that point, Legends was still sort of Canon.

My question was really just do you think they should look Human, or just cover up the tattoos.

Human if you want to move around mostly unnoticed by the (ex-)Imperials. They're more likely to keep an eye on non-/near-humans than humans, due to the Imperial culture's xenophobia.

:D

She finishes and steps out of the refreshers, "There. How do I look? Sufficiently Human? Except the hair, I suppose. Is it too conspicuous, or passable?" She nervously runs her hand down her braid, hung over her shoulder.

I'm reminded of Winter, Leia's "sister" in Legends. :)

(Appropriate, considering the source of that picture! :D )

GAH! No! My ey- ear- brain! I've got Let it Go stuck in my head now. <_<

Oi.

I hadn't considered that mental picture, but yep. Sounds about right.

Now I need to cleanse my mind with Demon Hunter. :D

Anything specific for Crash?

Keep an eye on the ship, keep your vocoder in check, and make sure the mechanics don't pull a Jawa on Clunker.

You vs that other droid : PrequelMemes

Should Sienna make a Deception (or Charm) check on Crash?

And should I make a Charm check for Aleena's attempt to pour oil on troubled waters? :)

So, a Charm check?

Easy with a setback..
