Hard Negotiation check please :)

Sienna has 1 rank in Negotiation, so if she assists Aleena, I believe that would be 1eP+2eA+2eF. Or can Influence not be used over comms?

Good question ...

Probably not over the comms. (If Vader did any throat-choking (Bind) over the comms, then I ascribe that to multiple range upgrades, multiple Force dice, and maybe even a Destiny Point if he was particularly aggravated.)

Hmmm...I think you can , but with the distance and the state of your vessel, add 2 Setbacks (that and they are suspicious as it is..)

@RuusMarev ?

Force powers aren't my strong suit, and I wasn't able to find anything concrete with a quick look.

My interpretation is that the +Force Dice is passive, regardless of range or whatever. The range and stuff is only for stressing the target's mind and "mind tricks."

Okay, I'll go with that!

I'm working up the dice pool on Orakos, please stand by ....

No wait. Ruus ruled:

So it's either no Influence and no Setbacks, or Influence and Setbacks?

I don't think it was a choice, it was "Influence applies, also Setbacks."

However, even if it was a choice, you'd probably be better off rolling the Force Dice and taking the Setback.

Which would have been my first choice anyway ... :)

And the Force delivers when all else fails!

Berth?: Negotiation w. Sienna's skilled help and Influence power : 1eP+2eA+2eF+3eD+2eS 1 advantage, 2 Light Side, 1 Dark Side
p-s.png a-a-a.png a-a.png f-ds.png f-ls-ls.png d--.png d-th.png d-f.png s-th.png s--.png

Final Result (using 1 LS pip for +1 Success, and 1 LS pip for +1 Advantage) : 1 Success, 2 Advantages.

(I'm not accustomed to using the Negotiation skill ... would it be better to use the second LS pip for a second Success instead?)

Depends on what you're going for. In this case, I think Advantages would be better since you aren't selling or buying anything (though I assume there may be some berthing fee? Do we have an expense account?).

My rational is kind of a reference to the EU, the effort to find the mind you are trying to influence...

Results!; You will be allowed to use the main spaceport (old Imperial spaceport, better facilities than the dirt field on the edge of the settlement) With the Advantages, they send you maps of the facility and surrounding business.

(failure with advantages would have restricted you to the "poor" dirt field, mostly civilian and local.. advantages would have maps to where you are allowed..)

Ruus, any check for disguises?

hmmm 😈

not to assume about your characters... but lets say an Easy Deception check with a Setback because at least one of them probably never learned to apply make up before... (pretty much putting on foundation to make the pale skin and tattoos, right? ... heck even if they had pale foundation, they might pass as another species...)

Not only am I male, but I'm a fighter plane. I have no idea about makeup. :D

I'll take your word for it and roll the check. Is it one for both, or one each?

Makeup : 1eP+2eA+1eD+1eS 3 successes, 1 advantage
p-s-s.png a-a.png a-s.png d--.png s--.png

Nice... That's for Sienna if it's individual.

mmmm, She did a good job, so good she made Cadea passable :)

But does it apply to both?

sure

@RuusMarev , @Bellona , what do they look like now? Are they just tattoo-less Dathomirians, or do they look Human, or what?

If they applied flesh tone, as long as they cover exposed skin, not made up, they should look pretty normal.. maybe exotic if there is an otherwise Dathomirian look.

if they used pale / white tone, they would be rather exotic compared to average humans.

either way, identifiable tattoos will be covered.. and probably water resistant..(lucky since this area of the planet is pretty dry.. Kind of a 'High desert" as you go towards the mountains, it has coniferous forests. )

so, whats the plan?

Set up for repairs, number one.

Then if we wait for repairs to be completed, we'll be able to skip if necessary. If we cause trouble, we risk the repairs not being completed.

My suggestion is that we get the repairs started, then send some or all of the team out to check around, maybe look in at the rendezvous, etc. generally get the lay of the land and try to gauge how time-sensitive the situation is.
Maybe discreetly inquire into the fate of Gala.
Learning more about her contact would be quite helpful, but would likely be quite difficult. And I don't mean contacting the contact, as we don't know if the contact turned Gala in.

@RuusMarev , do we know what transport Gala had? (heh, Galahad. Whoops...)
That might be the first place to investigate, try and figure out what happened to it. Is it impounded, destroyed, left, abandoned, etc. etc.

Ruus, are we using the rules for investigations here, or more freeform? I'm wondering if the Advantage etc. tables from No Disintegrations apply.

(I'm obviously not suggesting that Cadena and Sienna go off and leave the others at the shuttle, but aside from their appearance, they are ideal for undercover work because neither carry visible weapons, nor can their weapons be confiscated)

There wasn't a ship mentioned as of yet, but I'm sure abandoned ships would be noticed, even on this backwater...

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that.. I'll have to look at my copy tonight.. It's a bit freeform at the moment.. (is there any images of the charts online?)

Not that I've been able to find. I'll work on typing them up for reference, if that would be appreciated.
