Tales from the Fringe Anthology OOC
Chase

2eP+1eA+1eB+2eD
1 success, 1 advantage
You gain one range band of separation, they're now at Long+1.
Go ahead and make the same roll again, with an extra Boost this time. I'll assume you are accelerating each round, so for this one the speed differential is 2:3 instead of 1:3.
Chase
:
2eP+1eA+2eB+2eD
2 successes, 1 threat
They gain two range bands up to Medium+1 because of the speed difference.
With the Threat, they take a system strain and with your Advantage, you can either gain a Boost and recover a strain, or you can put a Setback on their roll.
hmmm, setback on their rolls....
(wait.. did we need to run? they attacked us... ugh.. kinda late now..)
Okay, Average with a Boost for co-pilot.
RO-0K pilot 3

1eA+2eP+1eB+2eD

Chase
:
2eP+1eA+1eB+2eD+1eS
2 successes, 1 threat
They gain another range band on you (Medium), but take another system strain.
Do you want to put another Setback on their next check with the Advantage?
You are deep enough now that all checks gain an additional Setback as the air traffic thickens (remember Skilled Jockey, if you've got it).

Yes, send another setback their way... Skilled Jockey x2
Okay, please go ahead and do some narration IC up to the current point.
Okay, so the difficulty this round is Hard with a Setback (RO-0K removes that Setback, but the pursuers don't).
Chase
:
2eP+1eA+1eB+3eD+2eS
0 successes, 2 threat
There's no change since neither side succeeded, but they add a Boost to RO-0K's next check. You want to add a Setback to their next check?

lol, yes
Okay, same difficulty and you get the Boost from their Advantage.

2 successes, 4 advantage, 1 Triumph
Finally!
Chase
:
2eP+1eA+1eB+3eD+2eS
1 success, 3 threat
You gain a range band, two if you want to spend the Triumph for that purpose (Medium+1 or Long).
With the Threat, they'll upgrade the difficulty of their next check.
What do you want for the Advantage? Boost and Setback?
Next round difficulty will be based on Silhouette and speed as the "terrain" gets more complicated (2eC+1eD+2eS).
boost for us, setback for them
After Skilled Jockey, the difficulty is Hard upgraded twice (with appropriate Boost).
@RuusMarev , Hard with 2 Upgrades and 2 Boost.
Difficulty is determined through the rules for difficult terrain, so Silhouette/2 rounded up and Speed, setting difficulty by the higher and upgrading by the lower (similar to skills and characteristics).
If you increase speed, you will gain an extra range band on winning checks, but it'll also increase the difficulty by 1.
RO-0K piloting
:
1eA+2eP+2eC+1eD+2eB
1 success, 1 advantage, 1 Despair
uhoh...
Difficulty upgraded by the 3 Threat on their last check, otherwise it'd be 1eC+2eD+3eS:
Chase
:
2eP+1eA+1eB+1eC+2eD+3eS
0 successes, 1 threat, 1 Triumph
You increase the gap by 1 range band (Long+1).
Boost to RO-0K's next check.
With the Triumph, they upgrade the difficulty of RO-0K's next check.
With the Threat, they take another system strain.
Please go ahead and narrate the last couple rounds IC.
Hey everyone, sorry I haven’t been active recently. I’m back now.
@jhh3 , Coercion will be vs. 1eC+2eD.
@tank0625 , Average Mechanics check to investigate the arm. Take a Setback for the time constraint and the chase, and I'm flipping a DP to upgrade the difficulty once, so 1eC+1eD+1eS (take a Boost if R1 assists).
@RuusMarev , with Raxle no longer copiloting, you lose that Boost. 3eC+2eS and a Boost from Threat. It's upgraded an additional time by their Triumph (so 3eC instead of 2eC+1eD).
Also, I somehow forgot to resolve the Despair... O_O
You collide with something and Rook takes a Crit:
Critical Hit
:
1d100
37
37-Defense*10=27: Losing Power to Shields: Lose 1 point of Defense in the affected zone (forward)
I'll go ahead and narrate the collision.
Edited by P-47 Thunderboltthat portal... where would it go? (is it like the large sinkhole looking shafts on coruscant, or like a side tunnel?)
