Okay, go ahead and post IC.
Tales from the Fringe Anthology OOC
I'll move up again. Where does this put me?
Can I move up stealthily maybe? Can I try to make out more when I get close.
You'd be within Short Range. You moved up from Medium, putting you in Short, so any more movement would be within Short.
You don't really have a stealth option in this scenario, so no.
Ok. I move to where it dissapeared and look around. Check the floor, nearby trees. Smell.
Make a Hard Survival check with 3 Setback. Take a Boost for Glitterstim since you have enhanced senses, but it relies largely on cognitive abilities, so you don't get the full bonus.
You find no trace of the figure, not so much as a footprint or disturbed plant life. You find various insects and bugs, though nothing out of the ordinary. What you find of interest is another corpse, much more fresh this time (still bleeding), a short distance away. It is basically a rabbit/squirrel/small woodland animal, and it has the same sort of wounds as the other corpse, though it also has larger chunks of flesh missing.
Gross. I take it back with me.
Okay, you can go ahead and narrate these events IC.
Please make another Perception check (3eC+1eD+4eS).
The rest of your watch passes uneventfully.
If you check the scanner, you see that the fusion lantern that was supposed to be powering it (the one you dropped) conked out and the sensor has no readings since before the incident.
Wonderful. Lol
Sorry, I didn't make it clear, but I intended for you to narrate the rest of Rakan's watch.
Do the holes through its head look like holes from a high powered weapon? Would I be able to tell?
Make an Average Knowledge (Warfare) check.
You don't know. Maybe it could have, maybe not.
Would you like to RP it out (or narrate it yourself), or can I narrate you up to the point where something happens?
Yeah go ahead. I wasnt really sure what to do
I needed the results, so I went ahead and rolled:
Perception
:
2eP+2eA+3eB+3eC+1eD+4eS
3 failures, 5 advantage
With the failure, he can't tell if anything is there. With the Advantage, he removes 2 Setback from the fog for the duration of the storm (at GM discretion).
Go ahead and roll a Perception check with the above difficulty, -2 Setback.
(do you think we're overdoing it with the Perception checks, or is it necessary?)
http://: 2eP+2eA+3eB+3eC+1eD+2eS 0 successes, 1 advantage
Not sure, you're the GM
Good lord that's a lot of dice ...
Please roll Initiative (Vigilance, so you use Survival and get the 3 Boosts), and an Average Perception check (2 Setback).
