Vote count

@Madaghmire (1) anonymous

@EbonHawk (1) anonymous

okay interesting

I can see 1 double voter as town, 2 seems a bit of a reach currently, odds 1 is town and 1 scum. The second vote comes after I mention notifying of the double vote early is a town move though

Home now so able to interact more, due to two votes on the board and both unkowns I'm going to throw my hat into the ring. Haven't played with you guts in some time but Nips is always one to watch and I would like some engagement from him

##vote @GhostofNobodyInParticular

##vote jabbawookie

Reasons: quick hammering with enough time left.

Or maybe 1 town double voter who can make both votes a secret?

I can't think of a reason for scum to reveal their power so easily.

Yeah wtf is going on with that?

So far with limited engagement from the playerbase, the most interesting thing we’ve seen is the two Anon votes. That could be a single source or multiple sources. I’m inclined to agree with ebon in terms of their receiving a soft town read. I think I’m an excellent meta risk-reward choice for an anon vote D1, especially if theres a time constraint and you can’t use it later in the day. Probably a decent play for either town or scum, but were I scum playing against myself I’d be inclined to push me later in the game, as my town game is somewhat weaker and my notoriety as scum could make for an effective smokescreen if pushed correctly. As town however, I’d expect that the vote is just trying to take strong scum targets off the board, and as such I like the logic behind the vote.

As far as the vote on Ebon, I actually like the vote a little less, although he does have an occasional propensity for tunnel vision that derails town investigation. But, if it was a response to the kinda role speculation/fishing, that makes sense.

Speaking of role fishing, is their a rule or something against asking everyone to lay out what mafia roles they submitted? Do we feel there’s value in taking such a poll, given that the mafia is unlikely to be truthful anyway?

There*

*there is no rule preventing you from discussing roles submitted

that's a triple voter then, assuming they have their normal vote

Revealing double vote early is wise, if you wait till hammer or lylo it looks 10x more scummy than being open with it, as town can then prepare with that in mind and most importantly not take anyone to L-2 unless sure due to anon turbo

so many will have been submitted and having played in pods last u-picks they won't be 100% what you gave, most will have some modifications.. best to assume everyone is bastard

I can see value in revealing the roles submitted on the other hand it might cause a lot of analysis paralysis. Assuming roles are as crazy as implied.

Pod, were roles randomly assigned or hand-picked by you? Like did you decide which roles were going to be active? Or did you roll dice for that?

i submitted something to do with needing to go to the bathroom quite often and something that has pointy ears and up to no good. Both of witch are the same alignment as I.

I don't see the advantage of revealing the submitted roles so if you want to explain it to me, please go ahead.

Let's say I've got a power town role. I know what it is, and what to do with it. I, of course, have a limited knowledge about the setup but at least my decisions about my moves are honest. If scum are aware about such a role going around they may plan their moves according with that info while, on the other any role scum players share may be a lie, no matter the alignment of the role so either we hope we got that good role we haven't or we expect enemy powers we're not facing.

So if you may elaborate the reasoning behind sharing and it convinces me I will share my owns.

I also warn about breadcrumbs cause it may enlight the guy who submitted but he is not necessarily your team.

It's complicated, general rule of thumb, the best 10% of roles went in automatically, and the rest of the roles in to balance (as best as possible) the setup.

Some roles may have had slight alterations mechanically, but the title of the roles given to each player remain identical to how the role was named during submission.

I don't see much downside to revealing which roles we submitted. Scum won't know who has those roles (or which ones exist) so I can't see how they can plan around it.
