You take them both out, but with the Threat, the VT takes 4 wounds (-Soak=2) from the fall.

Based on serial numbers and model years etc. Kebiin thinks it's been there for under two years, and probably abandoned for a year, but she'd swear it had been tampered with very recently. She also notices that there are some parts in the sensor package that have decayed, pushing the difficulty to repair up to Hard Mechanics (Weapons and Devices).

Yes, it would negate the Threat. Eye for Detail applies after you roll, but before you finalize the results.

Given sufficient time, Kebiin manages to get the sensor package operational. It reaches out to Extreme range on the Personal Scale. However, she won't be done for while compared to Tam's timeline. Please go ahead and post IC for her up to the point of starting the repairs and then we'll get back to her later.
