Excel based Character Sheet

Techmarine Special Abilities: Improve cover The techmarine can add a number of Armour Points equal to his unmidifyied int bonus to any cover (see pg 246). Improving cover requires one full action.

Blessed by the omnissiah: the techmarine begins the game with the mechanicus implants trait and the electro-graft use and mechandendrite use (severo-arm)talents

Darth - I will update the Xenos traits - thanks

I've just downloaded the 1.4 errata, my version was still at 1.1 so there are potentially a lot of changes I missed. The 1.4 version shows in red the changed from 1.3 and these don't seem to affect the sheet however I can't easily see the differences from 1.1 to 1.2 and then 1.2 to 1.3.

If anyone has those versions and can either send me links or tell me the changes that affect the sheet I'll make the changes.

Luther - The traits/telents you mention are already in the sheet - I'm not sure what you are saying

Delighted to have found this character generator, the complexity of generating and advancing DH characters has been a real pain in games I've run, and this is an excellent tool to help with it.

The one small problem I found whilst playing with the generator is on the powers sheet with Ascension powers. In order to find the power name a VLOOKUP formula looks at the talents sheet in the range $Z$48:$AA$263. The ascended pyschic powers can be lower down than row 263 now, so this sometimes throws a #N/A error. Easy enough for me to fix for myself, but I thought it worth mentioning in case you decide to update the sheet.

Thanks again.

Hey!

The Sheet doesn't seem to give me the Mechanicus Implants prerequesite for the "The Flesh is Weak rank 1" (its still greyed out even tho im an iron hand)

Sounds like you've found a bug, thanks for reporting it.

Could you please point me at the rules (book and page number) so I can ensure I get it right?

Good Morning Memetix,

My friend showed me the excel spreadsheet for the character creation, which btw is awesome. My question is are you planning to eventually include "Second Founding" and sub-sequent additions for the Deathwatch portions or would like help with the updates? Thanks again for the wonderful product!

Sadly I don't have the time I used to for this project so I have to say I don't have plans at the moment to add the new Deathwatch material. Since neither I nor my play group actually play Deathwatch I would be happy to receive help with the updates. My email address is on the instructions sheet so please feel free to contact me directly.

Our GM is allowing one 'free' choice (an out of step selection) in the origin path. Can this character sheet cope with that, and if so, how?

It's looking great, so ar, by the way :-)

S'okay, found it :-)

Okay, another question, which, so far, I haven't been able to find the answer to. If I have a sword and I want to add the property 'mono' to it, how would I go about it :-)

Okay, another question, which, so far, I haven't been able to find the answer to. If I have a sword and I want to add the property 'mono' to it, how would I go about it :-)

First you need to buy the Mono ability in the shop sheet.

Then switch to the Equipment sheet and there will be a new drop down menu next to the "Hand" column of the Weapon usage table. In that menu are all the options you have bought in the shop. Just select Mono for your weapon and you are good to go.

Is it meant to change any of the info on the weapon (like, "no longer primitive. +2 penetration")?

It adds the info on the character sheet, although it does still describe the sword as primitive.

Think you could add the Ork "Kustom Jobz" from Hostile Acquisitions to the weapon upgrades?

Don't know if this has been mentioned but when creating a Navigator the Pistol (Universal) is not added as a starting talent. Otherwise the excel sheet is great.

All the weapon proficiency talents are shown in a check box format on the 2 main character sheets.

Hi,

Speak Language (High Gothic) seems to be treated as a basic skill for Dark Heresy characters created with the Noble Lord origin, while according to the Inquisitor's Handbook the character should actually start with the skill.

Anyway, this is an amazing job ! o_O

Hi Memetix,

I know its only just out, and you have a pile of other stuff to do, but is there the remotest chance that you might add the new Tau career to the character builder at some point? I'd try it myself but every time I try and modify the sheet I seem to break it, clearly my excel-fu is weak.

Hey all...I can't seem to get the Reclaimator package to show for my Scum character...any tips?

E.

Hi ive started using you character generator/builder, and i carnt seem to find any where to put honour's. As i have a character with Crux Terminus. Where do i put it as i carnt seem to put my advance as Watch Captain?

It's a bit late, but I found I had this issue too. Writing in 'Watch Captain' in the special advancement field fixes it.

Looking at the logic in the sheet (Menus!E1965) the logic assumes you have Inqusitors handbook available, your Int is 30 or more and your home world is one of "Hive World", "Forge World" or "Void Born"

Honors are specifically coded into the sheet, as mentioned, the best solution is to type the details into the Advancement sheet in the Elite advances section.

That's the way the rules work. XP spent on background packages do not contribute towards your rank.

Where did you find this reference. I can not find this in the Rogue Traders Core Rulebook or Into The Storm Rulebook.

As for Dark Heresy at least, Background Packages are introduced in the Inquisitor's Handbook which is rather explicit on that part ( cf. p. 26):

Any adjustments to your character by selecting a Background Package does not count as an Advance for the purpose of increasing your Rank

[EDIT] In Into the Storm , see p. 17, 1st §.
