If that’s fiscal Q4, that’s July/August/September, which would be no change at all.

But based off of how FFG has usually announced stuff, they're going by calendar year, so either the date slipped or somebody made a mistake. If the date slipped, I hope it means they'll be releasing some scenario and hero packs in the meantime.

Highly likely due to corona virus shutting down production in China (and the huge backlog this has created). I can’t say this comes as a surprise to me having received mails from virtually every kickstarter I backed that there will be delays.

Which also makes it likely we won’t be seeing anything new between Hulk and the story box.

It is what it is, I suppose. (Or rather it could be what I made an educated guess about 😉 )

I'm guessing two of the missing MS are the game mats for the heroes from the story box and/or there might be a mat designed for two players.

While everything in that list is a mat, there could also be the potential for something else unexpected, like maybe upgraded tokens or additional health counters (to allow you to use counters for your heroes and all of the wrecking crew at the same time without buying another core). Mats seem more likely, though. Maybe a mat for each of the villains from the core?

They also said there will be a new campaign set after december hero pack... hope for a X-Men themed box or a Guardians of the Galaxy box or even a Thor-themed box, or a Spider-Man themed one, etc. etc. But yes, please stop with the Avengers, we'll eventually get sick of them if you make them all and then switch to another band...

While there are tons of Avenger heroes I still want for sure, I hope we get some new archetypes soon so a Leadership deck isn't almost always Avengers synergies. The game is young so thats fine right now but some SHIELD or Defenders synergistic cards would really diversify things quickly.

I'm thinking back to LOTR LCG days when the first cycle was basically Rohan and Eagle archetypes, but then you got dwarves in Khazad-dum and it just exploded from there with future sets adding a little bit to old archetypes to give them new life.

I've got nothing against the Avengers, right ? It's just that not all of us are hardcore die hard fans who could live with dozens of Avengers decks without something a little different once in a while. I definitely would like a Maximum Carnage themed expansion. a Guardians of the Galaxy vs Thanos one, and other stuffs I'm forgetting. But there's no lack of possibilities out there. I even plan on offering the core set to a friend of mine just to encourage him to get on the wagon and buy the packs so the game sells a bit more :-)

I expect we’ll see some Guardians stuff before too long, but there’s some speculation that campaigns might contain one or more infinity stones with a bit of a build up to a Thanos expansion at some point in the future...

In the comics Gamora and Drax are Infinity Watch (ie post Infinity Stones Thanos) before they join Guardians of the Galaxy, If I remember correctly its the Annihilation series that changes that, which was one of the great art and story-lines of that era. And Annihilius would be a great villain as well.

Either way if I guess correctly the 4th hero in the next series is going to have a lot of potential to change play styles.

I think these future Avengers heroe options could have very interesting mechanics...Moon Knight, Vision, Jack of Hearts

I think media tie-ins could easily land us Falcon/Winter Soldier, Shang-Chi or Sersi as well in the not too distant future.
