Den nods in response to the inquisitors question. "They had the shuttle taken down to the surface, but one of theirs went with it, 'escort' type thing. If we can get some to the guns, we'd have the advantage while they're a ship down, but we'd have to move fast".
Reach of the Empire IC
Baroness Venlana Sipal guides the way up into the Intrepid’s superstructure, crimson guard in front. Another lone Ugnaught monitors the middle engineering space aft of the stairwell, which also shows no signs of struggle. The forward section of the 01 deck is comprised of berthing, deserted at present. Venlana talks as she walks: “You are wondering how my crew boarded and took over a destroyer without a fight?” A roguish grin reveals a flash of white teeth, as her skin blushes indigo. “The transponder on my yacht is from an infamous companion service, providing only the finest escorts, to a select clientele. Alas, I was a damsel in distress, and your fine Captain thought it was his lucky day. Pounced on our distress beacon like a tooka on a mouse, brought us right in. And who can blame him? Imperial stations don’t get much more remote than this.”
The 02 deck is the bridge level. A Wookiee occupies the upper engineering space aft, and forward, they find a tall woman in a mask standing on the bridge. It is, of course, the mask of the pirate queen. She is flanked by another Wookiee, and two Twi-lek females, all armed. “You are prepared to trade the girl?” The woman’s voice is icy, and straight to the point, as she rests a hand on the pommel of her vibrocutlass.

Evon quickly refreshes his memory of the Intrepid's layout. ,,We can reach the engines from here. If we disable the hyperdrive, they can't escape. We can take back the ship room by room."

"We need not destroy the ships engines and weapons then, I will need these men armed." The fourth brother pointed to the Captive imperials.

"We will reclaim the Engines and Armory, first." He turns to Evon "Doctor as you suggest we will take the ship room by room until it is firmly in Imperial control, I will go to the Engines, with The Doctor, Stormtrooper take the Zeltron and the unarmed, raid the armory and prepare for battle."
"Alright." Val replied. "But first, I have an idea. Prepare yourself, I'll be right back."
Val walked over, hit the door control and left, shutting it behind himself. He sauntered over to the two Weequay guards, a bit of a rush in his step.
"You two!" He exclaimed. "Some of the Troopers are acting up! Want to crack some human heads!?"
He waved them to follow him and headed back to the aft bay.
Drogos guessing that the Zeltron went to grab more pirates for them to eliminate goes to hide by the door once more. "Take Cover, Doctor, StormTrooper."
The two Weequay pirates leave their post by the stairwell and follow the Zeltron lieutenant into the aft bay. The smiles that had adorned their faces at the prospect of casual violence are quickly replaced by abject terror, when they spy the Inquisitor and a room full of Imps!
When the bay door is quickly closed behind them, they do not hesitate to lay down their blaster lances, almost in unison. “Uh.. Into the transport..?” one of them ventures, hopefully.
Edited by EdgehawkOh, Karabast. Briar's eyes lingered on the Vibrocutlass , before looking around the room to assess the pirates occupying the bridge. "Yes we are, although before we do so I would like to inspect the bridge consoles to make certain that everything is functioning correctly... If you don't mind." Briar added quickly, while thinking to herself. If they don't hurry up my options are going to be; get cut up by a Vibrocutlass now... or a lightsaber later.
Drogos wasting no time addresses the Pirates, "Surrender your weapons and any means of communication you have." He then turns To Luks Val and Evon "Bind them." Finally he points to two random captives that had yet to receive weapons, "Take their Blasters and use them."
Edited by ShlambateIn one last attempt to disable the droids, Somar brings the exposed cables around again. This time the current hits true and the Seekers drop to the bulkhead floor. Exhausted, Somar slumps even further down into his corner to recuperate. Yep, swimmingly. Nothing could possibly go wrong...
After the pirates were captured Drogos turned his attention to the Doctor, "Lead me to the Engines." He said to Evon pointing at the Ladder that lead to a Crawl Space.
After Somar takes a moment to somewhat recover from his brief ordeal, he remembers the flash he had seen by the cruiser, just prior. Searching the darkness between the ships, he thinks he has lost it at first, but then spies the faint glow again just as it enters the Intrepid’s starboard hangar bay.
On the bridge, Venlana’s crimson guard Logan abruptly discharges his disruptor and sends the queen down to the deck writhing, senseless, fading fast. The Wookiee readies his vibrosaw, an instrument more suitable for the logging industry than melee; the Twi’leks take a step back and start to raise their blasters. Hale’s vigilance is misplaced, and the seemingly friendly fire catches him flat-footed...
”Don’t!” Venlana commands, stepping between her guard and the pirates. “She treated you little better than your slavemasters before her, and you know it! And the real Queen has only ever cared for her own agenda... Join me! A sorority and a fraternity, a Veiled Consortium, true to the pirate code! Come! For she is surely below, as we speak, come for the girl!”
Once again, Venlana has used all parties present to further her own ruthless agenda. Her words must hold some truth, for though the pirates pause and look askance, they do not attack.
Below, a lone figure flies into the starboard hangar bay. Killing the thrusters on her boots, the Pirate Queen alights next to the Stormcrow. Her own mask fronts an elaborate helm, atop a fully sealed suit, despite appearing much like a holopirate costume. The remaining crimson guard posted outside Venlana’s shuttle snaps to attention at her arrival, but the woman pays no heed and proceeds directly toward the imperial shuttle.
Stark is now manning the cockpit, but the other three members of Banshee Squad are keeping close custody of their slippery charge. “That’s far enough, pirate lady!”
The Pirate Queen does not slow, but rather with a wave of her hand, the trio of stormtroopers stands down. “An agreement has been reached. The girl comes with me.” Nodding to one another like it’s the most natural thing in the world, they seem in agreement: “An agreement has been reached. The girl goes with you.”
The girl, of course, has other ideas about where she should be going. “Nooooooo!!!” The scream echoes through the hangar, and up the stairwell, nearly to where the Baroness has just been notified of the Queen’s gambit.
“She is come.” Venlana says simply. “With me!!”
Evon leads the Inquisitor to a service shaft and he opens it using his access code. It seems the pirates didn't care about disabling the main computer. ,,Probably 2-3 minutes and we are at the engineering section. I'll lead the way." He climbs into the narrow tunnel and makes his way through the old dust and the pirates' recently dropped trash. ,,So uncivilised.."
As the humming of the engine becomes louder, he slows down and listens if anybody occupies this section. Hearing footsteps, Evon suddenly lifts his head, just to instantly bang it on the crawling's ceiling. ,,Bloody mynock!" Almost immediately voices rise up from the hangar bay.
,,Sir, we've got a problem, we have to hurry!" And he wastes no time, tries to climb out of the narrow space.
At the sudden movement, Hale had dropped into a crouch, ready to spring in front of his charge if necessary, but with the sudden bout of friendly fire, he warily stepped closer to Briar, his Z-6 spinning slowly and covering the room. Hale's Z-6 starts spinning faster, the mechanical whine menacing as he finally barks, "Alright, hold it right there. Lower your weapons and let the Agent sort this out. Then we'll see where the kid goes with who. Capeesh?" he kicks on his comlink to Banshee squad, "[What the kriff are you bozos up to now? What's up with the kid?]"
Edited by P-47 ThunderboltThe ruckuss was easily heard from the aft bay, Val snapped his head in that direction, quickly surmising something bad was going on. He drew his Vibrocutlass and unhooked the Pneumonic Whip from his belt.
"Troopers! Our objective is in the Hangar Bay. Follow me now for the glory of the Empire!"
Val raises the Cutlass high and then runs through into the main Hangar. Hoping he roused the men to action.
“Stop it, Hetaera. Your place is with me, by my side. But you must listen. I will not leave you again.” The Pirate Queen releases the girl’s arm in a show of trust. “Stay close.” Drawing sword and pistol, she strides to the fore of the ship. Despite her misgivings, the girl cannot help but be awed by the powerful woman that is her mother, and follows close behind.
In the crew lounge, the pirates closest to the stairwell hear the cry from below, and jump to their feet. Wasting no time, they grab the freestanding pole at the center of the spiral stair, and rapidly descend to the lower deck.
The Zeltron man burst into the main Hangar Bay, his pace slowing for a brief moment as five Pirates landed at the foot of the stairwell. He hesitated, wondering whether he should try a bluff again. The heavy boots of the Troopers behind him changed his mind and he picked the pace back up, charging towards them.
"Fire!" He shouted, bringing up the golden blade of his Cutlass.
A wave of blaster bolts whizzed past him as he leaped forward, blade coming down in an arc slicing a surprised Pirate from shoulder to hip. He rolled, waited a moment in a kneel before standing up to face the last Pirate. A heap of his smoking comrades littering the floor around him.
"Surprised?" He said with a grin.
A Fake! Then the real one is... Briar turns upon hearing the scream from below, hopefully someone else is in the hanger she thought to herself as she began racing back towards the stairs "Sergeant, back to the shuttle, quickly!"
Reaching the stairs Briar began sliding down the pole there reaching the bottom quickly.
Edited by Imperial StormtrooperVenlana’s guard activates his comlink and contacts his counterpart down in the hangar, by the yacht’s boarding ramp. “Red-Two. Boss is playing the imp array. Do not engage except to cover our approach or defend the ship.”
”Copy, Red-One. Queen’s taking the girl forward, toward the launch chamber. Don’t have a clean shot.”
”Do not let the Queen escape, Red-Two.”
Pulling out a Merr-Sonn flash bang, Venlana’s henchman activates it and lobs it toward the Pirate Queen and her daughter. Without breaking stride or even turning around, the Queen bats it back at the startled trooper with a casual flick of her sword. The queen and the girl continue forward, until they reach the vacant launch pad in the forward section of the hangar. In their wake, a bright flash and cacophonous, piercing burst of sound follows, sending the trooper reeling and momentarily shutting down his helmet functions.
”Red-Two! Red-Two?! He’s not responding, Baroness.”
”Nevermind. Release the captain and engineer. We are not long for this ship, and someone should be at the helm.” At Venlana’s order, Logan opens the cabin, and releases the CO and Chief Engineer who had been detained within. They are wary, but cautiously head for their stations without further prompting. The Baroness and her guard continue to the stairwell.
Hale backs up, Z-6 still spinning to cover the Agent's retreat. Or advancing in the other direction. Whichever. Once she's clear, he follows her, sprinting to the stairs. Spotting the pole he switches his hold on his Z-6 and grabs on with one hand, sliding down quickly and landing at the bottom, weapon already scanning the room.
Hearing commotion erupt below them, Drogos immediately turns in the ducts to where he hears most of the action. “Follow me. I sense a powerful force sensitive.” He said to the doctor as he moved closer to the presence he felt and the noise he hears.
Using his lightsaber to cut a hole in the ducts he drops down in the middle of all the Chaos and looked around for the force user he sensed and the girl. Spotting a Pirate Woman taking the Girl away he shouted. “Leaving so Soon?” Drogos extended his arm into the air, making a choking gesture he reached out to the force to pick up the Pirate Queen by her throat through the force. “My pilot...” he would grunt struggling to hold the Pirate Queen as she was resisting with all her might. “The Queen... is... Here!” He said over his communicator no longer worrying about keeping a low profile on their mission.
Hetaera is in shock. Her relationship with her mother has been complicated of late, but she has always been the embodiment of strength, power, indomitable will. Seeing the Pirate Queen’s heels lift off the ground, as she writhes in place, immobile... something in the girl breaks.
“STOOOOOP!!!”
The girl stretches out her arms, fingers splayed, tendrils of dark hair fluttering wildly from a storm of her own psyche. Before her, crystal shards burst from the Inquisitor’s saber, extruding in columns and spires in every direction- including several which pierce straight through the Inquisitor himself!
”What have you done?!” the Pirate Queen manages, voice strained even through her helm’s vocoder. “They will never stop hunting you now. You must fly. Go now.”
As she says this, a sleek snub-fighter drops down from the launch chamber above. The design bears distinctive imperial lines, but is not a make that anyone present is familiar with. The hatch opens with a hiss, revealing an empty cockpit, but a shrill skittery “Brrrddrrrbllpp” emits from the astromech bubble behind it.
Tears from a full spectrum of emotions well in the girl’s eyes, as she relaxes her arms, and for once listens to her mother.
(Drogos takes 7 Wounds past Soak, and I’m afraid the lightsaber is effectively sundered for the remainder of this encounter).
Somar recognizes the support vessels as a threat to the operation, so he moves the Phantom to intercept. Once in position, he drops the cloak and flips on the comm. "Under authority of the Emperor a d the Imperial Navy you are hereby ordered to stand down. Take no action or be destroyed."
“Impressive, Most Impressive.” Drogos says as he puts away his destroyed lightsaber. He uses the pain caused by the shards of his lightsaber to help keep the struggling Queen in his grasp “You will become more powerful than you could ever imagine should you join me and the empire.” He said looking to the girl, and ignoring the Queen’s comments. “Join me and never run again.”
The decoy queensguard makes its way down, following the Baroness and the imperial task force. The Wookiee stops short at the main deck, taking note of the pirate foursome hanging back, in the lounge.
“HwwwrrGwwl...” One of the Twi’lek females cuts him short. “I’ll talk. You four. We fight for the Baroness now. Head down at once.” She indicates the stairwell with her blaster for emphasis.
The Klatooinian spits. “It’s mutiny, then? You don’t get to give us orders anymore, traitor.” Hefting his vibroaxe, he takes a step closer to the stairwell, the other three nervously eyeing the situation.
