It was a tease, so no it’s not a spoiler, at least not how it’s written.

The way it was, I thought the story was alluding to the Resistance going to Kamino to start up Clones to fill their deminsihed ranks.

That’s not the case. 👍🏻

Because the origins of the Clones are given details, then the story goes on to another place.

And then we hit another spoiler 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m going to put this book down, hide it and get gelato now.

Hmm. Decent, not great but decent so far. I don’t think it’s required reading if pressed to make the call. I put an excerpt above.

I can write a synopsis in a few days if you want. I think I defiantly put more stock into it because the author was told to rewrite a chunk of the book because he gave away a plot point of the movie. And now my imagination is seeing plot points where there are just story elements.

Oh right. It also had Poe, figured he was flying it. But the description does mention something about rescuing Poe. Of course, those descriptions aren't necessarily true to the story of the movie. If I'm not wrong, isn't it true that sometimes the minifigs don't even match the set? But good point.
