"Air Bud" legal rulings are expressly forbidden.

A bright and shiny heart-shaped " like " to the next contestant that actually describes their battle. :)

@CaribbeanNinja

Karnek and I had a pretty tense game. Action right from the start.

We both deployed no nonsense, pretty much right accross from. Each other. I had bid and took first, and played his adv gunner. Both of us had gunnery teams on our ISD so the quasar was my obj ship and demo Karneks.

I pryced 2, and Kar opted to not pryce.

Turn 1 I did what I do and launched defenders into his ball, claiming IG and Mauler turn 1, losing my own mauler and a defender back. The squad battle would trade back and forth like this until the end, it was a bloody fight.

Turn 2 pryced and tried to run the quasar away accross demos bow. It didn't get quite far enough for my liking but I was locked into it. Demo came in and struck the quasars rear, and I decided to risk the face up rather than redirect a single damage and burn the token. Ends up I pull injured crew, lose it anyway. Isd gets to move and has to choose between killing demo or repositioning to fight the isd. I figure ill try and save the quasar by destroying demo, which I do, but then Karnek kills the quasar anyway and speeds off at 3 putting the two isds side to side and a bit past each other at blue range, our squad balls between us.

I activate first, and wipe the last of his squad ball and try and turn to fight, but he speeds off out of range and the game is over. He killed black squadron, Jendon, Mauler, and a generic defender along with the quasar and I destroyed Demo and his entire squad group. Both of the cheap ships were our objective, so it added 56 to my score and 54 for his for us both completing the objective.

Early good rolls for me in killing mauler and that unlucky crit helping Karnek kill the quasar made sure neither of us could really get the upper hand.

96pt mov to me, but a good game all around.

@CommanderDave and I just finished up our game. I knew it was going to be an uphill battle, but it turned out to be more of an Everest than a hill! Final was 328 - 125 for Dave (203 MoV, 8-3)

Destroyed on my side:

Screed's ISD, non-Vader Gozanti, Ciena and Valen (+7 tokens)

Destroyed on Dave's side:

Demo, Ciena, Firespray

I chose his Fighter Ambush as first player. His Demo and Interdictor both split wide on the first turn, giving me no good choice. I decided to turn towards Demo, which I though I had a better chance of heading off. Dave's squad ball was able to pick off Screed's ISD fairly quickly even though it was repairing almost from the get go. The non-flagship ISD managed to run down Demo late in the game, and we traded a few squads. Very well played on Dave's part.

JJs Juggernaut (1st Player) vs Dupy

Objective: Contested Outpost

Score: 340-142 (MoV 198)

Result: 8-3 Win for JJs Juggernaut

A good game to Dupy. This one was a fast and brutal fight as I tried to gain the advantage before his squads chipped me down. Dupy opted to use the station as bait to keep some of my forces away from the fight, which it did. Admo's only job was holding the station, which I was able to do for all 6 turns to give me the extra edge. The fight was pretty even, with my MC-75 narrowly avoiding death by Liberty. My Hammerhead was able to kill the Liberty, but later got finished off by squadrons. The Pelta was able to stay out of the fight and killed my CR90. Our flottillas traded rams, though I was able to get Quantum storm out of the fight alive. I killed a few squadrons with AA. Thank you to my opponent and good luck!

And like that, Roquax is the first to clinch a trip to the Elimination round. His POD opponents can each individually beat him out (or just be best among one another for Runner Up), but no two of them can overtake his 22 points together.

Ahem.

I won the World Cup. I finished all my games first.

@JJs Juggernaut played an awesome game. He managed to radus drop well in spite of my squad picket. And held the profundity drop to get it just right and finish the liberty. Just a pleasure to not get tabled!

Karneck v @thecactusman17

Thecactusman: 144

Karneck: 322

8-3 win 178 MOV win to Karneck

Objective:Adv. Gunnery

Cactus made his raider Adv Gun ship, and mine was Demo.
Came down to positioning on both sides and my squads managed to put in enough damage to down his ISD and Demo with help from my ISD and demo. I lost demo to Cactus demo.

Thanks for the game Karneck!

I definitely made a big mistake with the activation of my own ISD and Demo early on, and that obliterated my best chance to win. Lesson learned I suppose.
