From my experience nothing about Erik's (@rewen007) play suggests scum to me, but I can see how it might read as odd to others. Taking a bit of time right now to look at the first day's vote, and some past posts. There's some real inactivity from some typically active players, including Adam, Cary and Mark F. There's also been very little out of Mad, who I don't know. On the voting, the one thing that really jumps out at me is @markferguson not voting on day one. He's usually the biggest lynching advocate, and honestly the only time I can remember him not voting to lynch on night one was when he was in fact scum. This is thin evidence, but at least to get the conversation going:

Good morning EbonHawk...up front - I'm new to this format, and some of the Mafia terminology on it. Thanks for giving me time to respond.

1) I'd invite you to look back at the thread with @podracer. I was responding to his accusation that I was in a scum chat. He did not ask... So I felt I had to respond to that accusation?

2.) I noted your rep in your profile, and also your early contributions to this game. You had made a handful of posts before your period of silence in D2 that were helping town, so I didn't put you on my "worry list" of those that had been oddly silent to date, or not voting D1.

3.) I'm not sure I understand this line as a relatively new mafia player. What is "green rep"? And why would anyone want to kill Mad / Clon / You?

4.) I would agree that experience/reputation wouldn't necessarily lead to loudness. From the few games I've played on the WhatsApp version though the opposite is usually a yellow flag. Experience/reputation that is quiet feels spooky to me. But I also try to distinguish between loudness and "helpful play" that contributes.

Hope these are helpful as we learn to play with new people...

on No.3, I would say scum would look to take up people with 'green rep' the +number next to the profile, while not an indicator of anything I feel in a game with new forum goers scum will want to target the people who've been forum mafiaing the longest ala mad, me, pod, clon..

I can say for now Mads playing a typical day2, it will tell when he starts posting more

I would say they are helpful, I'm see going to keep my eye on your game today but for the moment I feel more comfortable with you, out of 'your lot' who seems most out of sorts to you

Secondly, I can't recall if I did mention previously that i had looked up others, but on D1 I noted that as a "new feature" of this online version (no such luck on WhatsApp). After other players had mentioned looking up profiles, I did the same. That's what led me to the additional appreciation for players experience or volume of contributions as I was reacting to people's nominations for people being quiet.

Also like to know, apart from being more jokey as I pointed out, I've struggled to find a link between you and rowan, I've re-read 3 times

I feel like Pod is really pushing today and to the vets here (mad/clon) it doesn't feel like his town pushing, not at all, I'm feeling we're being had by scum pod
