Considering order 66, and the Jedi purges by Vader thereafter, I think Diala (Traditional Jedi) and Davith(leaning towards a Gray Jedi) are all we need as Jedi representatives.

More alien species with interesting abilities such as: Chagrian, Geonosian, Zabrak, Quarren, Dug, Kubaz, Dowutin, Delphidian, or more Robotic Heroes are in order!

I'd agree, though it may be cool to have enough to field a full team of 4 Force sensitives, if players wanted to. Though I can totally get behind some weird alien species.

Fair enough. I just think it would be "convenient" to have so many lucky force users escaping the death that is due. Luke is meant to be the end all be all (even if he is lame)

Reminds me of all the clone troopers who "conveniently" dodged killing their Jedi masters in Order 66.

Having it happen a few times is fine, but, when it becomes a habit it = lazy storytelling.

It definitely seems silly, but it's kind of a trope at this point for Star Wars.

I guess the galaxy's a big place, so it's not completely absurd some force sensitives could've made it under the radar, but I agree that the Jedi club is feeling pretty crowded these days.

"Only Imperial Storm Troopers could be so precise". ;-p

In IA canon, how many Jedi survived the order?

2 Jedi masters (Obi and Yoda)

2 padawans (Diala and Kanan)

1 other (Davith. What is Davith?)

plus Ahsoka if you want, but she wasn’t a Jedi anymore at that point.

compare to how many died? Hundreds? Thousands? The fact that a handful survived is probably quite plausible...

Never mind my post, didn't notice you mentioned IA canon only...

Imperials need the most help lately. Maybe more uniques or two man squads within the 6-10 point range.

I guess you could also potentially add whoever the Fallen Order game will be about.

Plus the Inquisitors, though they're kind of like Ahsoka in that they're not Jedi any longer.

And @King_Balrog , I love the idea of supercommandos. The MP would be awesome too.

Probably a Gray (potentially flirting with the darkside) based upon his job, his assassin dagger, his fighting style, and his codename. Honor stops him from giving into a red lightsaber but:

put these together let me know what you think.

How extensively have they been playtested?

none at all haha.

Just tried to brainstorm fun ideas.

I tried to not make them overpowered and their dice pool/point cost may need to be slightly modified- but I think all these units are viable.

Just in case you haven't seen, I'm currently salivating over these 98 fanmade minis designed by Mel Miniatures .

Edit: I mean just in case you hadn't seen the minis, not me slobbering over their glory.

How do these do for painting? I went through some pics and saw that most are kinda grainy after painting. Is this because of the 3d-printer plastic or because the painter is not up to sorastro's standard?

No idea, I've never run them.

I'd imagine in part it would depend on the quality of your printer and filament. We have a few at my school that are fine, but definitely not FFG mini-level.

This is pretty cool. When the time comes we can both:

a) vote on periodic fixes for older figs that are never used (like Dengar, Diala etc)

b) vote for totally new figures and deployment cards and use some of these minis or others like them! (such as 4-LOM, Zuckus etc).

I have no doubt that IA will continue by either FFG official stuff, or the player community taking over and continuing it "unofficially" OR both!

From what I’ve learned from friends with 3D printers that grainy-ness is generally pretty common, you have to play around with your print settings to account for it. From the paint jobs I’ve seen on 3D prints of it seems like they can either go a long way to hiding it or making it more noticeable. More often the latter.

Some of those miniatures appear, to me, to be 3D scans of the Wizards of the Coast models.

Smearing tons and tons of paint on it to cover up the grainy surface will make it quite hard to get pretty results. So I guess you gotta live with the surface texture or with a hard time painting :P

Is sanding not an option; specifically super fine grain?

not that I would know but I imagine that some parts are rather delicate. take lightsabers for example. Then again if the material is too soft you could do more harm than good (my greenstuff sanding experience in a nutshell lol)

Eh, maybe, but I'd be careful with it.

The printers I'm familiar with use a honeycomb structure on the inside of models to give them stability without using up a metric ton of plastic every time you try to print.

Sanding might wear through that solid outer layer, giving you some horrifying eldritch abomination. And I'm not talking just Ziro the Hutt.

While an Endor box would be nice to get at some point, I notice that Descent got a campaign book which used the core and an expansion. I would be interested in that if they did it using the core and one or more of the expansions. It could go along side some blisters that tie into it. Say a Bespin or Twin Suns campaign with some tie in imperial, scum and rebel figures. The campaign could have tokens and cards for the blisters. We have lots of good tiles already and it would be good to get a bit more use out of them, especially these that have not been used by the app yet.

After reading Fortress Vader, I want a Mustafar set, lava tiles and maybe add the burning condition...
