Wave 12 Wishlist

By Sharkey1337, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I would just like a Clone Wars era (cartoon) set of characters as well as some more Rebels characters other Inquisitors perhaps.

I’d like to see some of the other inquisitors and a campaign set before HotE revolving around an early rebel cell led by a Jedi master that is trying to link with other cells and evade the inquisitors. The Grand Inquisitor would be the main big bad, and Obi Wan would be a reluctant ally. Greedy could also be there. I think the Jedi master would be a constant ally, too, rather than a hero because his/her presence would be required through out. Depending on whether his fate gets confirmed in the comics, I think Quinlan Vos would be great. Or one of the Jedi confirmed killed in those comics. To link things together, I think Bail Organa would also work nicely. So, while this is a very specific wishlist for my hopes for campaign-that-fits-the-wave-7 stuff in, mine is:

Fifth Brother

Seventh Sister

Quinlan Vos

Bail Organa

I reckon a wave of:

Wicket and Weazel for the Rebels,

Weeteef Cyubee, and Wollivan for the Mercs,

and Rukh for the Imperials.

I've no idea where Wodibin would go, but maybe he could be an Imperial spy or something to even it out. Two in each faction, each played by Warwick Davis. Plus they would all be pretty small (except Rukh) and really hard for me to paint (because I'm terrible at painting). Maybe being that small you could fit two on the same space at once or something. I'd buy that.

This is simultaneously the silliest but also best ideas I've ever heard.

And you know Warwick would definitely buy into the game at that point.

Yeah, I was being pretty silly. BUT, if they did do a Warwick Davis Wave (which they wouldn't) I would totally buy it! He was also a couple guys in Phantom Menace I think but I prefer to forget that ever happened :)

He was Anakin's friend, Wald (had to look it up). Always thought the guy was a young Greedo, stupid as it sounds.

Oh, and did some work as Yoda ... could be a fine addition to this collection!

Wow! I totally thought it was a young Greedo too! Maybe Phantom Menace isn't as dumb as I once thought. Maybe next I'll learn that that kid next to him didn't grow up to be Vader... There is hope for this movie after all.

So if he played a bit of Yoda too, that could be added to the "Warwick Davis" Wave. Nice.

Rebels was good but I'm not a total fanboy of it.

Prequel stuff should stay were it belongs - in the past. Not a fan of it coming to XW or possibly Armada either.

Solo movie provided a rich vein of characters to go for as did Rogue One - plus those breach environments haven't featured in any of the map tiles.

I know it's probably the end for big box expansions but a quest for the DS2 plans leading up to the start of ROTJ with Bothans, Ewoks and the remains of Scarif would be great

There's been a lot of discussion on these forums before about how it's unlikely that this game will delve into actual Star Wars storylines much, but is that really valid anymore?

Spoilers for the new box and Season 4 of Rebels.

For instance, in ToL, it seems like FFG was willing to step on some toes a little more than usual. All of the Lothal stuff was pretty parallel to what happened in the show, but I'm not sure it quite crossed any lines.

The Seelos mission I'm not so sure about. Do we know how Wolfe and Gregor eventually got off the planet and to Lothal? Or how they continued to avoid Imperial entanglements after embarassing Kallus and taking down three AT-ATs? Seems like the Empire would want retribution, and they managed to track down the AT-TE really quickly the first time.

Sands of Seelos could conceivably tie pretty closely into Rebels- maybe not necessarily as a canon explanation, but at least a canon-friendly explanation. I'm not sure the game has ever done something liekt that before. Even in the Hoth mission, while we're pretty canon-adjacent there, it's not like the mission describes anything that we end up seeing on screen (despite maybe Dengar's later presence).

Anyway, I'll remove my tinfoil hat now.

If they give us a Warwick Davis miniature he will only be used as Willow in my campaigns.

And every round i will randomly shout "KYYYYAAa!!!!!"

I know it's unlikely, but I'm really hoping we get one more big box. 24 heroes is just so much more satisfying of a number than 21 or 23.

There will be more boxes, no guarantee they are big though I guess.. unless for some reason the game has been cancelled and we don't know it yet.. there is no reason why they shouldn't finish the OT cycle and give us an Endor/DS box with Ewoks, Yoda, Scout Troopers etc..

Nobody would have guess Heart of the Empire or Tyrants of Lothal! Two big surprises, not to mention some of the weird blister packs we got (BT-1?!). I think this game will keep going for a while and we have no idea what will come next. Of course Endor/DS/Dagobah whatever would be cool and you'd think they'd do that, but then again, they keep surprising us. I hope we get some more really weird unexpected treats!

Actually, I'd really like an extra big blister pack wave... like not just one new person for each faction but a few each, and some unexpected people.

Also, loved this! I just rewatched Willow with my kids recently... it doesn't hold up so well but it's still pretty fun.

Oh no...

Are we already reaching the stage of despair, and I'm trailing behind, actually content at the moment?

That's not like me...

I hope for one more big box, with Endor-related content, and an accompanying wave.

I expect nothing, TBH.

That's pretty fair.

The only reason I'd expect at least one more wave is because the LCG got an announcement before its death.

But that obviously doesn't guarantee anything, just wishful thinking really.

We actually did see rebels coming. Lots of people on this board predicted we would see more rebels content and there it was. Even before hera and chopper, which was a big hint that more was on its way.

i don't expect to see a ton of physical content from now on, at least not in the near future. The common word at NOVA from people who have been regularly play testing IA was that for the first time there was nothing actually being tested or being brought to the attention of the tester. That definitely has to be a bit alarming given the whole "one year from design to release" thing.

If testing falls somewhere in the middle of that year, were probabaly looking at a late spring release of some sort. Which would be close to a year.

But all that being said, we have a ton of physical content as is.. my play group hasn't even got through all of the campaigns yet so I am content. If they can sling a few app releases over the next year that will also keep us busy.

There is a ton of content available for this game, yeah. Our group has played through each campaign once, and that means we've seen far fewer than half the available missions (64 unplayed side missions, plus however many unplayed story missions). It'd be pretty easy to create more campaigns just by coming up with a storyline to tie together the existing unplayed missions. That'd keep all but the most insatiable groups going for a very long time, even if they meet up a lot more regularly than our gaming group does.

(Personally I have no interest at all in the app, though. Our group has 5 players, I like being the Imperial player anyway, and I'm not much fussed about playing solo. That's just me/us of course, YMMV).

But ... this game will feel unfinished for as long as there's (a) no Yoda and (b) no Endor stuff. No doubt others have their own requests, and there's more stuff I'd like to see too, and how the **** do we not have an anti-hero box/campaign yet, and between the prequels and the sequels they could keep this going for a long time if they chose to do so (but it's clear they won't); but those two things are the must-haves for it to feel like anything other than FFG abandoning the game prematurely. I suppose it depends if they think it worth the effort (expected sales versus opportunity cost of more Legion or whatever) but I for one will be very disappointed if we don't get one more box and wave... even though I've still got 60+ missions I've not played yet.

All i am waiting for is bloody ZUCKUSS and 4-LOM, for the Force sake!!

Well a young Greedo does show up in a deleted scene in TPM, getting in a little fight with Anakin if I remember. But if people wanted a actual Warwick Davis mini then Weazel would be their best bet especially considering he shows up again in Solo as a cameo.

Not canon and was an April Fools thing but they did say that Willow was part of Star Wars one year, with his Weazel character being linked to his character as Willow.

Sorry. What is NOVA?

NOVA is a big gaming convention/series of tournaments on the east coast. Nationals are there or North American champs for IA.

He's Warwick's character that's in the stands cheering during the podrace in TPM (if I remember right, he was a Sebulba fan).

He's also in Rogue One

In Enfys Nest's Cloudrider Gang

he had a rat-tail braid
