E-Web and FFGs typical mess ups

I guess commandos with sniper rifle will probably be range 4 and would be a practical tool against them (especially if suppressive) while in mirror matches, DLTs are so frequent it isn't even funny.

Just use cover then? LOS blocking terrain and such.

"just" is such an easy answer not applicable most of the time. There are ways to mitigate, and there's always a chance of bad rolls (I often get full blanks on my rebel black attack dice...) but most of the time, terrain isn't (on competitive placement) where you want it to be at moment X, especially since you don't know your objectives yet.

This unit is purely a defensive/holding an objective unit... it will be slow going, but could also be used to blast troops off of an objective. I would see it more as defensive and the AT-ST as the attacking mobile unit.

When u look at units u have kinda see how they work in every objective. And objective like breakthrough or claim objectives or any objective where u have to move your units instead of just sitting, and firing cumbersome takes away alot of utility out of that unit.

I guess. You do have some ability to manipulate the objectives you get if you really feel they put you at a disadvantage. But all the units in the game have real strengths and weaknesses so you could talk yourself out of using almost anything if you think this way. The HH12 without cumbersome becomes pretty darn strong.

I really like that Legion seems to put difficult choices in front of you for constructing your forces and then equally difficult choices for using them on the battlefield.

This leads to exactly the kind of tension that seems fun to me.

”We have to protect this gun long enough to get it to that objective”

”We have to take out that gun if we’re going to hold this objective”.

On the other side of it this leads into the battle cards:

"We have this gun so we can't use that objective/setup/condition card."

"We have this gun so we want to use that objective/setup/condition card."

And then your opponent is thinking:

"Aha, he has that gun, I want to use this objective/setup/condition card."

The plot thickens...

That E web is awesome. sure there are ways to counter it but thtas part of the fun. Nothing is imbalanced and everything has a counterplay. in this example sure you can fire dlt to take the standby away, but propably you want to do it from beyond range 3, and if you do and opponent plays well you will waste the shots from the rest of the squad. Or you could try to get into better posution but risking loses on your side by that standby. For me E web is something that fills the roleof heavy firepower supportrolein vader squads as those list arent well outfitted for taking at st. This thing is affirdable in vader based list (as vader fills a good chunk of points) and benefits from his no courage value.

Are the E-Web and Rebel cannon the first unit card with 3 weapons on them?

Well, boba already had 3.
